They finished in under 30 minutes, and packed everything really carefully and efficiently into the truck so that nothing fell over or scratched on our move to smother state. When we arrived at our destination, the movers who unloaded (also with Two Men and a Truck) stated numerous times how terrible the packing job was. All heavy furniture was placed on top of boxes and totes, completely crushing many of the boxes. We had a damaged wagon, elliptical, sitting room chair set and more. I reported this to the company immediately (while I am only including pictures of one box and one tote, there were many that looked the same). I was offered a $250 refund. I explained that the damage was not the potential fault of the moving vehicle or driver; that had the truck been loaded properly and boxes not crushed by heavy furniture, damage would have been mitigated. This office manager was unwilling to do anything further. Please note- Two Men and a Truck Urbandale does not stand behind their work and if you have damaged items, you have zero recourse. Very unsatisfied with the way this office conducts business and treats their customers.

They showed up with what looked like a U-Haul trailer instead of a truck, and it was already mostly full. I stated when I booked my appointment that I had 2 trash cans of construction debris that needed to be emptied, along with other items we needed hauled away. It was not a lot of stuff. The manager looked at our junk pile (facetime) and raised the price to over $200, then they refused to take the construction debris which is why I called in the first place. My wife convinced them to take one container, but they would only do so if we allowed them to take our garbage can along with the debris. Not a good experience, I should have read the reviews before booking them.

You can save money by taking your goods to their (trucking) yard, but it might not be feasible for you. I had to do it because my belongings were in a storage unit, and the storage facility wouldn't allow ABF to drop the trailer on their property. I saved enough to cover the cost of the Uhaul and labor to move our stuff from the storage unit facility to the ABF yard.

Here is what went wrong: -They showed up with a truck not big enough to move our stuff so it took 2 days to move us. We had to be out of our house by the end of the 1st day, so the people moving in to our house had to wait to get in. -One of the 3 movers had to leave for a family emergency and they never replaced him, which made that much more work for 2 guys. -When they came back on the 2nd day the guys complained the whole time because it was supposed to be their day off and commented several times that they hadn't planned to be working that day. -They quoted us a price based on a walk through they did of our home and the final price was almost $650 higher than the quote, they said it because there was more items than originally thought and because we had changed dates. I guess I didn't realize that changing dates resulted in an increase in price. -We moved into a newly constructed home. The movers damaged walls, bannisters, and woodwork. When we asked them about it, they told us if they would have done that, they would have noticed it. Apparently not. -They ripped our leather couch. When we tried to contact them about it, we never even got a response back. Very poor service. Despite the guys being friendly on Day 1, I would not ever hire this Company again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

The movers constantly complained about moving things (aka doing their job), and flatly refused to move certain things. They also wasted a tremendous amount of time telling us all the things they couldn't/wouldn't do and argued with us about all these items. They also just quit loading things with plenty of space left in the truck on the last load because they claimed we were running out of time when I knew we weren't. When I pressed them on that, I was told, "you think it just takes 15 minutes to unload all this shit from the truck?!" Very professional. I was argued with, sworn at, ignored when I tried to talk to them and give instructions, and just generally treated in a terrible manner, all the while my wife and I were loading the truck right along side them, working just as hard (if not harder) than them. They were also very careless with boxes, leading us to hide a few marked "fragile" because they weren't paying any attention. In the end I will say the worst of the crew personally apologized to me, and some of our money was refunded but it was way too little way too late. We are now left with several large items, the very things we hired "professionals" to move and really no way to move them, and no recourse other than to write this review. I completely regret hiring Siddal Moving, and not only would I never hire them again but I will specifically tell others not to hire them.
