He was gentle and patient with me, and within two visits, my back was in good shape. On the first visit, he did a longer intake session and did some gentle adjustments. He also does craniosacral work, which is a first for me, but I love it! All the follow up sessions have been quick and effective. Since Dr. Rob is a Crossfitter, he was able to suggest movements I was familiar with to get back in shape, and also help me understand what to avoid doing (over-stretching) to make my lower back situation worse. Now that my back is better, I will schedule a session every few months to keep in tip top alignment. His rates are very reasonable, which makes this possible. Very thankful Dr. Rob fixed my back pain!

I haven't had this easy breathing in my whole life. Dr.McNabb has literally changed my life. I am…read morein my late 30s, and I've had asthma my entire life, managed on daily medication. I saw a previous chiropractor and they didn't mention that chiropractic adjustments could help my asthma, so I was floored when Dr.McNabb mentioned that it could help. I've come to him for the last two years or so, and I haven't used my inhaler (daily preventative or rescue) in at least the last year. I'm controlled and feel so much better than I can ever remember. Of course, doing daily martial arts has its Bumps and bruises and hard falls and Dr.McNabb always finds the spots that hurt and helps to relieve the pain. I would absolutely suggest anyone come to him for help with controlling asthma, allergies, digestive issues, tingling sensations, or aches and pains. He's informative, and strives to find just the right balance between giving you autonomy and advice.

Once ready for treatment, he has a lot of tools and machines which all adds to the cost of the visit. This was not explained to me (nor did I think of asking as this had never been an issue with other docs). When I called to book my appointment I wanted to ensure billing would be done through my insurance. I was assured this was not a problem and the office would call my carrier ahead of the appointment to confirm. Day of visit: confirmed assurance was "generally" accepted.... Upon visit completion, I was presented with a $235 bill. I asked about the insurance and was told he would call to see if his practice is in-network.... meanwhile I had to pay half. Never heard back, nor will I return. I was there a total of 2 hours for a simple sore lower back issue (I have chronic back pain, so nothing out of norm). Just to note.... my previous chiropractor (I moved and it's hard to go there now) doesn't always take insurance and charges $55 out the door.... he's awesome. Needless to say: lesson learned for me.

I have torn meniscus and bone-on-bone arthritis in both knees, and surgery felt like the only option. But Aaron worked with me patiently and consistently, and after several months of twice-weekly sessions, I found myself doing something I hadn't done in a long time, walking without pain. Once I made that progress, I began working with Michelle, their personal trainer, to build overall strength and improve my fitness. I've been overweight for too long, and with Michelle's guidance, I've dropped multiple clothing sizes, built noticeable muscle, and so far I've lost over 20 pounds. Most importantly, I feel strong and empowered, and I'm doing all I can to keep my knees supported and avoid (or at least delay) surgery. The change has been truly life-changing. My quality of life has improved dramatically. I move with so much more ease, and even the muscle soreness that comes from a tough workout feels good because I know I'm doing something great for my body. I'm beyond grateful for the support, expertise, and encouragement I've received at Within Your Reach. Aaron and Michelle have helped me take back control of my health and mobility, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

I went in to see Cheryl several times and the visits were mostly discussing how all I needed was to strengthen my knees and all I needed was to do several lunges each day. I was never was offered electric stem, ice or anything similar to help with the actual pain. After about 1 week of doing these daily lunges, I told Cheryl that my knees were in much more pain than before. She said it was normal and just sore from building up the muscle. So I kept doing the lunges and continued having increased pain but I kept being told it was normal and okay. After about 3-4 weeks of starting PT here, my left knee completely went out on me! It hurts so bad I couldn't even touch my toes on the ground without a sharp, stabbing pain in my knee. I ended up going to the ER and couldn't walk on it for 2 days. Clearly, this was more than just pain from exercising. I got an MRI and an appointment with a orthopedic surgeon who specializes in knees. He told me, along with several other doctors, that lunges are THE WORST exercise for your knees. It's very hard on them and that he wouldn't even think of doing a lunge! I was shocked and felt so angry that this whole time I was damaging my knee more so, when very easily I could gave been given more than just one exercise to strengthen my knee. My MRI showed that I had a cartilage defect on the inner part of my knee and the doctor told me to stop the lunges immediately. I'm very disappointed in the treatment I received at Valley PT. Cheryl could have given me many other exercises to do, like my current PT in Santa Cruz is doing now. I'm in no pain and have about 10 different ones I can do that aren't harmful to my knee. Then also do other treatments to help with the pain.

I had very good experience with the therapists. They did a good job on helping me rehabilitate my…read moreshoulder after joint replacement surgery. If I was just reviewing them, I would give them 4.5 stars. However, the business side of this company is a disaster. They use a very weak software solution for scheduling and payments. Every time you want to do anything with this software, you have to wait for them to send you a code via email. It won't send it to your phone so you have to wait 5 minutes for the email, but not too long because it expires in ten minutes. If you make one appointment, it will automatically log you off and you have to wait for another code to arrive before you could try to make a second appointment or see if your first one really went through. They will send you an email when you have a payment due, but you have to do the login and code dance just to see the statement. Making appointments is very difficult also. For some reason, if I try to make an appointment online, it will only let me do it on a Wednesday, no matter how far out I look. Basically, their software only works for the people that work there. So you really need to just make appointments by calling the local office or when you are in the office.

So PAMF is all I can get for docs given my location and insurance (Aetna - no choice there either)…read more I have had dr coulson in Scott's valley as my PCP for over a decade, I think, since he replace dr conroy. Over the years. I have come to detest more things about PAMF than I benefit from. But my aetna insurance limits me to be pamf. I am 63 and spend about 15k a year for my insurance. 10k premiums and 5k deductible. PAMF has lots of specialists but getting to see one is nearly impossible because... 1) Dr coulson has to see me first and he always makes me wait a few visits with him before granting a referral. 2) if I have not reached my $5k deductible with Aetna, visits to PAMF can run $450 per. This rules out visits for many things I really need help with. Especially mental health... For $450, I will be fine. Except I am not. 3. The specialists wind up referring me to other specialists because they get the diagnosis wrong. I was scheduled for a hip replacement and the week before, they cancelled it because my insurance looked at the X-rays and said yeah that's bad but not that bad. Well it turns out I have sciatica. I cannot describe the pain I have been living with for over a year as PAMF refers and refers and refers. I had trigeminal neuralgia a few years ago. It took me years and many visits to convince the PAMF team to refer me to Stanford. Stanford found the location of my headaches right away and fixed them with only minor brain surgery. I should not have had to wait so long. The same thing happened to me husband, only he has a problem with his pancreas. He wound up at Stanford as well. I am now awaiting my visit to a spine doctor my PCP referred me to. That not until March 9. Meanwhile I have had to go to empowering hands for a leg massage and to five branches for acupuncture. Five Branches is great and cheap. Jake at empowering hands is wonderful but pricey. Still less costly than my insurance co pay.
