Do NOT make a big mistake. Pay more and get a real company. Don't ask these scam artists to even look at your stuff because you will never see it again. You would be better off carrying your stuff across country on a bicycle than using this scammy place. Joe Cerbone, the owner, will lie to you. He's very slippery. Moving from New York to San Francisco - it's over a month and no sign of our stuff. The phone doesn't answer. The "tracking" function simply sends me an empty email or else the following: "I would like to inform you that your shipment is still in our warehouse and we will contact you as soon as it will be released." I have no way of getting of finding my stuff. I paid the whole amount up front, and I guess that was my mistake. I suppose that my stuff is lost, but I have no way of finding out. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS MOVING COMPANY What a horrible experience we had moving with this rip off company. They have us in writing a written quote as we moved our life and all our belongings to California. They originally guarantee a 7 day notice window to deliver your stuff, then I get a call on Saturday night that they are coming Sunday with no notice, and that was the beginning of the worst to come. They would not accommodate coming on Monday unless I paid an additional $1,000.00 after 19 plus text messages from the so called owner they agreed to deliver on Monday and sent me a final balance so I can have a certified check ready. When the truck arrived on Monday they changed the balance again and threatened to not give us our belongings unless we paid another $500.00 Under distress I agreed to pay the $500.00 on credit card which the owner swore hen would refund but never did. They clearly take advantage of people during a stressful time in our life as we have so many things to handle your not prepared to be ripped off by people who are holding your life belongings hostage. movers showed up FOUR hours late. They arrived to move my apartment at 4:30PM. They sent 3 men of which only one was working and then they requested an hour overtime to move my one bedroom apartment. Originally was supposed to be 3 men for 5 hours of moving which already seemed like too much and that we would have time left over. Ended up paying for 3 men for 6 hours. Most importantly, the movers destroyed the wood frame of my $2,000 couch (pictures attached on my Yelp review) and they company offered me $30 to repair it. THIRTY DOLLARS. How am I going to repair the entire wood frame of my couch with $30? Who is going to repair it for me? now I'm left with... - a day wasted waiting for movers that showed up 4 hours late -being charged and hour overtime which was totally not necessary -a $2000 couch that is destroyed -a ton of aggravation dealing with customer service -more time waster completing the "claim process" just to be offered THIRTY DOLLARS STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! read more

Disgusting people. Left us sitting around for hours with no phone call, extremely rude and terrible business people. Never, ever use them. They were supposed to show yo between 1-3. 3:00 came and went and nothing. I left numerous messages on all of their phone numbers and no call back. They finally called at 4:30 to say they were 2 hours away!! Even if they would have hurried we wouldn't have been moved into our house until 11:00pm, unacceptable. Of course they had no answer when I asked why they couldn't have called earlier to say they'd be so late. I guess I should have read the reviews about these people before I booked them. read more

Lost my stuff (swapped someone else's matttress for mine!). Late delivery (over 6 weeks late for a cross-coutnry move). Even took them to court and won! Not that I ever saw a dime. Just do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. You get what you pay for. read more

Bait and switch quoted $950 to get the business then wanted $2600 but if I gave them a good review on Yelp they would reduce it by $150. Charged my credit card for a deposit never did the move. Currently in litigation get the money back from these people. read more

I had a complicated move because I live on the West Coast and needed my stuff moved within New York State; specifically from the Poughkeepsie area to the Albany area. Anyway, I checked many competitors before and their prices were INSANE. So in deciding on MoveOurStuff I considered price, quality and reasonable guarantees that the move would be seamless. I had some hick-ups with my move, and was initially very unhappy with the company. However, they reached out to me after my move to see how it went and to make sure that I was satisfied. When I said that I had had issues, they made great strides to address all of my concerns. I would definitely give them a second chance to move me in the Hudson Valley. read more

They showed up late and had to reschedule to re-reserve the elevator. The movers were courteous and were careful with my belongings, but they charged for an extra guy, which I did need, but didn't show up in my original estimate. The original estimate was about $400. When they arrived they said they needed to charge me an extra $70 for mattress containers (they knew ahead of time I had futons.) As a result of all of this, the end price was over 3x the amount on the estimate!! Although they said I'd get 15% off when they started, for their tardiness, the business office said "nope, we meant $15" at the end. I was lucky the elevator was still available after they showed up a few hours late, or it would've been a disaster. I would not recommend this company; go with 2 men and a truck. read more

Original post Marcus and the crew who moved my belongings were fantastic. They treated my property well. Taking every precaution to ensure that nothing was broken or damaged. For this I am very grateful. They worked proficiently and understood that I was unfortunately on a time constraint to get out my current apartment. They were fantastic I would recommend them to anyone. The management leaves a little to be desired. I called all week to request a time for my move so that I could plan accordingly. I was moving across the country and so planning was tremendously important. The lousy manager Margo didn't call me back until the day before my move. Then told me a time that would mess up my entire previously made travel arrangement. It was a preventable problem, due to poor communication on her behave she cost me three hundred dollars to change my travel arrangements or be forced to leave my things behind. When I called to complain of course she didn't answer. Its always unfortunate when you have a good business under poor management. read more

This company, and Joseph Carbone, were the most dishonest and unprofessional company/person I've ever dealt with. On the day of our move, we were robbed of $600 from my purse and two of my husband's credit cards were stolen as well. We reported the incident to the Scarsdale police. Upon receiving the request from the police, Joseph refused to provide any of his workers' names. This company had also promised that they could professionally move our piano but it was improperly reassembled, with two legs attached incorrectly and 22 keys dislocated, resulting in $1,000 of damage. They damaged our walls, some of our furniture and failed to put the legs back on two of our dressers. Joseph claims all this was our fault b/c we did not take out additional insurance for the move. Up to this date, we have not received a penny in compensation or an offer to have his employees correct their wrongs - although I wouldn't want them back in my home after this.
