Their online tools for signing up and making an appointment need some work, and it sounds like they know it. They required an insurance card, but their system wouldn't let me add one. They asked me to schedule a time, which I did, only to find out days later they bumped me to another time for some unknown reason. They also told me I could not make an appointment without a referral from my primary, even though I told them I'd be paying out of pocket. BUT, I decided to keep my appointment, really needing some answers about a problem with my shoulder. Dr. Karim did not disappoint. He was kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. He answered all of my questions and I had a lot of them. Before Dr. Karim, I would have given this place 1 or 2 stars. Honestly, their wacky tools wasted a ton of my time and I don't like that. But Dr. Karim restored my confidence. If they ever get their online tools working, I'd be happy to give them a full FIVE STARS!

Dr. Wong did the surgery and it went well; his follow-ups every few months were on-point in regard to my progression, which unfortunately has been slow - BUT steady. The AO hand center nurse, Sabrina Gomez, also does good work, putting in that little extra effort that is often needed in navigating the whole health (and insurance) process. Front office staff, good work, suggest offering more approachability. Harold Neuendorff is one of the best OTs in my opinion. He is experienced, knowledgeable, and he cares. Hands-down, get him as your OT if you can. Paloma is a newer OT there and she is really good also. I have developed a chronic stiffness problem due to overly happy scar tissue inside my hand, fingers and wrist. I go to therapy twice a week and do exercises on my own three times a day.
