Went on a "bad day" I guess... apparently two out of the four trucks that were supposed to be there canceled because the trucks had problems!! So there were only two trucks.. one was an ice cream truck (forgot the name) and another one was the Grilled Cheese Bandit...they sold grilled cheese sandwiches lol. Ellen and I got sandwiches from the Bandit. Ellen got the smoked salmon one (forgot the actual name) and I got the "special" which was filled cheese, mushroom sauteed with wine and bacon. The sandwiches were pretty good and they came with a side of potato chips. The prices were not cheap... it's kinda "PALO ALTO-ish" and the portion is small... although I guess it was ok for lunch but.. for $8.50..I could certainly get a lot more food elsewhere.. even in Palo Alto. Will check it out again another time.. hopefully there will be more food selections. According to Ellen, who frequent moveable feasts at other locations.. the one here was wayyy tooooo quiet.. not sure if it was due to the fact they only had two trucks today..but there weren't that many people.. which I didn't mind at all though :) PS: there are red buckets provided that you can sit on to munch on your lunch, no table. read more

3.5 stars After many failed attempts at coming here, we finally made it! Between my friends and I, we tried food from three trucks, so I'll split this accordingly. Hill Country BBQ Company -- We got a Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($8) and Pulled Pork Sandwich ($9). The chicken was okay, kind of disappointing, if I'm honest. I definitely did not find it worth the price. The Diablo XX "super spicy" sauce was also a letdown. I was expecting waterworks, but it was barely spicier than a mild salsa. My friend's pulled pork sandwich was tiny in comparison, and he vacuumed it in a nanosecond. An The Go -- A few friends got the Garlic Noodles with Chicken. None of them were thrilled, and one said they are really good at their actual restaurant in SF but agreed they were disappointing here. Madd Mex Cantina -- Probably the best of the bunch. The Chipotle Shrimp Bowl ($9.95) looked spectacular, and my friend loved it. He waited the longest out of all of us for his food and was the happiest. Wait times are about 5-10 minutes at noon and wind down from there. Seating is bucket-style and plentiful. Also, some of the trucks had whiteboard pricing, so expect fluctuations from what you see reported by other people. If/when we go back, I'm heading straight for Madd Mex. I really wanted to try the BBQ, and maybe I got the wrong thing, but I couldn't justify $14 for the bbq chicken plate. I would never be able to finish that (it comes with two sides). Either way, Madd Mex's menu looked phenomenal start-to-finish, and my happy friend gave me faith that it's as delicious as I suspect. :) read more

Every Tuesday during lunch time, about 3-4 trucks gather in Palo Alto Square on the corner of El Camino and Oregon Expressway/Page Mill Road to form Moveable Feast. You actually have to drive into Palo Alto square to get to these food trucks, and there's always plenty of parking. Moveable Feast usually posts the truck lineups in advance on their Facebook page and website. They play music and provide lots of red buckets to sit on; no tables though. It's usually a pretty good turnout because of all the surrounding businesses. Quality of the food depends on the truck of course. They usually have a good variety of trucks come through. They won't have the same truck there week after week. read more

Yep, love to go to the moveable Feast where you can find multiple food trucks offering anything from big daddy crawdad shrimp to karoke ice cream trucks. This moveable feast is in the Palo Alto Square parking lot at the corner of the parking lot on the South West corner of El Camino and Page Mill every Tuesday afternoon from about 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. For you ding dongs, lemme break it down...you will need to go in to the parking lot of the Palo Alto Square in order to locate the trucks since they do not park directly on El Camino. Once you pull in the driveway go to your right. You'll see them way in the corner. Food is not the best...come on now, its a food truck. What, you're expecting what you see on the Food Truck Wars on the Food Network? You better go back home and watch them on TV then instead of enjoying the Tuesday afternoon fun. It a great change of pace from usual Monday - Friday lunch routine. Its fun times to go with coworkers on Tuesday afternoon from time to time to the Palo Alto moveable feast. **TIP TIP TIP** --Make sure you're not in a rush for lunch cause getting your food takes time ! It also depends on what truck you're getting your food from. Most trucks that I've ordered from in here take at least 10 minutes to make your food. Freshness is the answer? I don't know, but the food is pretty delicious. My favorites are Sanguchon, Rib Whip, and that fried chicken thing that I forgot the name of lol. It's great to see a change of food choices in the area when they come by. It would be awesome if these trucks did lower their prices for food, but I guess it's all business and the cost for them to produce adds up. Bon appetit. read more

i was really looking forward to checking out this food truck fest since it's super close to where i live. unfortunately, due to my school schedule, i did not get a chance to check out this feast until after my final exams were over. according to facebook, dec 11, 2012 would be the last moveable feast at palo alto square for this year, so i was glad that i would have my first opportunity to check it out before they take a break for the holidays. according to their weekly schedule, 4 trucks would be present on dec 11, but due to technical difficulties, only 2 showed up: treatbot (the ice cream truck) and grilled cheese bandits (the grilled cheese sandwich truck). despite the lack of choices, i was still pleased that the grilled cheese bandits appeared since i was really looking forward to trying their sandwiches. although i arrived right at 11.30 (to avoid the crowd), i quickly realized that i had nothing to worry about b/c there were only a handful of people present. around 12ish, more people showed up, but compared to other moveable feasts that i've attended, this crowd was pretty small. i wonder if the lack of food truck choices caused some to stay away b/c it was certainly a gorgeous day out and i'd have expected a much larger crowd. the signature moveable feast red buckets were available to us as makeshift chairs, but no tables were available. also, we had to help ourselves to the buckets as they weren't set up for us in advance, just stacked up on a cart. parking was free and plentiful in palo alto square, without any timing restrictions, which was a huge convenience for me. i would definitely like to come back in 2013, and i'm hoping that when i return for my 2nd visit, there will be more food trucks present. read more

Absolutely hated all d it... Was really excited about the Thai Thai Food truck but they didn't even show up... We tried Samosa from the Indian Soul Food Truck and they were kinda good compared to all the other things we had there... We also got tacos and bowls from 333 and it was probably the worst thing we ever ate... taco was made out of some cheap taco seasoning mix and tasted horrible... the paneer tikka bowl tasted nothing like paneer tikka... a little too bland and no salt at all... We also tried the Creative Sips Food truck and it was probably the best thing we had here... I am giving it 2 stars only because of Creative Sips and the samosa... The service at 333 was amazing but the food was horrible... read more

I love coming here every Tuesday and Thursday for lunch because there's always a unique selection to choose from. Sometimes they have barbecue other times they have Korean and they always have something good to try. For the most part the food trucks are very friendly and I really appreciate how much effort they put into the quality. However my only problem is that on average there's only three food trucks. Sometimes to have four and on rare occasions there will be five. So far it hasn't been a disappointment but there might be that one day were no food truck interest me and the choices are very limited. Despite this minor setback I highly recommend coming here for lunch if you can. read more

4 truck meetup. There's lots of parking here. I wish they had atleast 1 more truck. Other than that, everything was "A" ok. Good flow. Lines weren't too long. Most of the customers were business people from the surrounding buildings. I was hoping they'd have a dessert truck, like most of moveable feast locations. Good stuff though. read more

As is normally the case with the food trucks, it really depends on who shows up for these things. I really appreciate the fact that they've picked a spot really close to where I work, so the lunch options have definitely opened up. I love when Whisk on Wheels and Treatbot are there, but haven't been really impressed by the other trucks. read more
