It was too chilly for the pool while we were there, but it looked very inviting. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, and the entire place was kept impeccably clean. There is even a self-service area for snacks and drinks, or things you may have forgotten to bring along from home. There is access to the lake, as well as a place to dock a boat, if you have one. There are also plenty of interior gathering areas that are comfortable to hang out if the weather isn't cooperating. I would highly recommend Cove Creek Lodge to anyone looking for a place to stay at Deep Creek.

For the room with king bed, my price was $84 total including tax - a very good value. This motel does not have a pool or hot tub or fitness center or business center. It just provides the basics - modern, clean building, well-equipped and clean room, and free continental breakfast of cereal, bagels, cream cheese, toast, juice, coffee, yogurt, and packets of oatmeal. The room had fridge, microwave and coffeemaker -- it was a good room. Quiet place, quiet area. But not totally quiet because there is a Sheetz gas station and convenience store next to the motel. I liked having that convenience. This little hotel is highly recommended.

The property is family owned and they live on site. Communication for booking and up until your stay is great and check in is a breeze. Room 104 is my favorite and I have stayed there all but one time. The rooms are always clean, we'll furnished and stocked. The room with the ice machine between rooms 102 and 103 have a few extra towels and Toiletries available incase you need anything after hours. They only have 10 rooms and a parking spot assigned for each room with several extra guest spots. Right across the street there is a liquor store and a restaurant (currently vacant restaurant as of 2/2024). While visiting with the restaurant there, it was nice to have a spot for a quick bite. I highly recommend The Garrett Inn as they are consistent, well priced and just an overall wonderful experience.
