The chiropractor (Dr.T) takes a very holistic approach to helping his patience feel better. So, it makes total sense that his treatment is complemented by the easy access to a whole range of different yoga classes. They offer everything from restorative yoga to special yoga sessions for prenatal yoga. Whether you are a beginner or you consider yourself a seasoned practitioner, you will definitely find a class that suits you. I love the beginner yoga class! The studio is warm and inviting and all of the instructors are patient. While they each have their own unique style, they all make the practice accessible to anyone, regardless of your skill level. During the pandemic, due to restrictions to in person classes, they have been offering virtual classes. I think it is awesome that they found a way to continue to offer yoga to so many people. In fact, it provides the opportunity for so many of us to participate that might not otherwise be able to go to the studio. If you want to try yoga for the first time, or you're looking for a new place to practice, definitely check them out. You will not regret it!

The first two sessions I took were all-levels yoga flow and the third was therapeutic power flow. I consider myself an advance beginner and I found the classes appropriate, with my preference for therapeutic power flow. A note to beginners, there were no adjustments made by instructors so I don't recommend either for first timers. I found the studio a bit cold/sterile. My regular studio is warm and smells wonderful of essential oils and incense. I will be back. It served my need to practice while away from home.

I had an oxygen facial with Christina, esthetician and owner of Skin Zen Escape, two weeks ago…read more My skin looked amazing afterwards, yet what amazes me *even more* is that two weeks later, I can say that my skin, with minimal upkeep on my part, truly looks better than it has since before teenage acne hit me (well over 20 years ago)! Christina asked me to complete a skin questionnaire upon my arrival, and at the beginning of the appointment, she assessed my skin carefully (but without the judgmental comments that I unnecessarily had feared) and recommended the facial that she thought would be best for me. Each step of the way throughout the facial, Christina explained what she was doing, and she also provided helpful skin tips and insights. She truly took her time, and she clearly took pride in providing quality, individualized care to me (and to her clients overall, I would think). At the end of the facial, Christina also provided me a nice travel-size kit of skincare products (with detailed individualized recommendations) to put me on the right path for post-facial skincare. Christina introduced me to the skincare line that she uses and that she offers for sale to her clients, but she did not pressure me to buy products. I fully recommend Christina and Skin Zen Escape. I already have booked my next facial!

I'm talking throw me into the mouth of a fire breathing dragon, allow me to suffer a bit, sometimes tease me with a breath of fresh air, allow me to continue melting, and throw some positivity in to keep me from completely sputtering out. Thankfully, Breathing Dragon lives up to its name. This delightful hot yoga studio, which was converted from a core power yoga studio, has everything I need to be happily at home. Breathing Dragon IS absolutely hot. While a hot yoga room is ideal, teaching is VERY important to me. Mori, the owner, is exceptional!!! She is, what I would refer to in the yoga world, a Master Teacher. She is extremely knowledgable about the body, the yoga practice, has over 20 years of teaching experience, and radiates positive energy. She has funny jokes, inspiring quotes, and advanced corrections which is particularly important to someone like me who has almost 22 years of yoga practice. She walks around with a ruler, ensures proper alignment, and provided me with hands on corrections, which I just adore. Thank you, Mori. Her rays of sunshine alleviated (some of) my suffering - after all, I chose to practice in the hottest spot in the room (far left when facing the mirror). Mori did kindly advise me of that spot, but I love a challenge. Let me say, Mori's class is a pleasant challenge. I have practiced at 100s of studios around the US and other countries. I have very high standards. Mori meets Every Single One of them. Would I practice here again? Absolutely. The studio has showers, lockers (bring your own lock), towels/mats for rent, and cubby holes for shoes at the door. Mori of Breathing Dragon has fostered a beautiful community of welcoming practitioners. If you move to downtown Baltimore or just passing through and want to make friends or just simply meet quality humans, practice at Breathing Dragon.
