Specialties
At Mountain Water Systems, we specialize in providing tailored water treatment solutions for the unique geology and infrastructure of Asheville and the surrounding mountain communities. Whether you are on a private well or municipal city water, we use an engineer-led approach to ensure your water is high-quality and reliable for your home or business.
We offer free in office water testing for pH, iron, hardness, and total dissolved solids (TDS) to ensure every system we recommend is perfectly matched to your specific water chemistry.
We use the results of the water test to custom design a solution for your a multitude of water quality problems whether it be hard water, iron (orange staining), sulfur/odor ("rotten egg" smell), acidic water, chlorine, lead, chemicals, bacteria, or sediment.
Also, we don't just install; we provide maintenance and repairs for most major brands, including media replenishment, valve adjustments, and system performance optimization.
History
Established in 1982.
Mountain Water Systems was founded in 1982 with a simple mission: to provide the highest-quality water to our neighbors in Asheville and the surrounding Western North Carolina communities. For over 40 years, we have grown from a small local operation into a leading regional expert in residential and commercial water treatment.
Today, Mountain Water Systems remains a locally owned business. We believe in a family-first approach, always asking ourselves, What would we do if this was our own family's water?. Whether we are performing a free water test in our Asheville office or installing a custom whole-house filtration system, our goal hasn't changed since 1982: helping Western North Carolina thrive one glass of clean water at a time.
