It's truly a place that you can walk into and think "This is where I belong". It is a small barn with a humongous heart. All of the staff- Barn manager, barn owner, instructor, and volunteers- are all very agreeable, kind, and understanding. It offers lessons $30 an hour for a group lesson or $35 an hour for a private lesson. Also, there is leasing; it's full-leasing- that means you get to come whenever you want and ride whenever you want (when staff is available), and just about everything else- for $450 a month ($50 discount if registered before May 30) as well as boarding- your horse will be assigned his/her own paddock with other buddies and a stall if desired, he/she will also be fed and well taken care of by staff, and there is a discount if your horse is allowed to be used in lessons. It is home to a regional Saddle Seat champion; a gorgeous chestnut Morgan gelding named Maple Corner Passion. He was the very first horse at the barn, and he's a real sweetheart. I am one that takes lessons and volunteers there, and he is "my" horse (I lease him and care for him and absolutely, positively LOVE him!) and he is also loved by many others. I highly recommend this farm to anyone and everyone who has a PASSION (ha ha) for horses!!! Come by and check it out for yourselves, you will not be displeased!

The horses, Whiskey and Red, were very gentle, obviously well trained and cared for. It's a mix of terrain, from woods, hills, to paved road. I said in the phone call we said 2pm and I even confirmed the second time with her. Then she said maybe it's because my English is not well? Excuse me? Though I'm not a native speaker, I believe I can fluently communicate with people in English based on the several years of my communication with people in the States. It's already disappointed that I missed the horse-riding and her attitude makes me feel even worse. Maybe my English is not good enough to try to come back here again or recommend to anyone else.

When I turned 60, I decided I wanted to try again. I got a lesson with Marcie who was gentle and calming, taking me through all the steps to build the relationship with the horse before getting on and then carefully walking me through the first steps. I was nervous, but she was a great teacher and I had a wonderful time. Later I took my 5-year old grand-niece who has ADHD. With Marcie's patient instructions she did great and can't wait to go back. The space itself is big, with several areas for different classes. All of the equipment is frequently inspected and maintained- when any tape gets worn on an apparatus they remove and repair it. The intro to aerials class gave me confidence on the trapeze, fabric, and Lyra. I've moved onto to level 2, and there are so many other advanced classes for me to chose from! They have extensive policy written up on inclusivity, diversity, and safety - all of which is available for anyone to read on their website at www.showcircusstudio.com. 2) Their teachers care about their students and are highly trained circus professionals. Many of them went through the professional track program at the New England Center for Circus Arts, are members of the professional circus organizations, and are active in furthering their circus education and training both on their own and through the studio. They go through monthly staff training as well as additional off-site trainings to constantly improve their skills and give a high quality, recreational circus education for students of all ages, body types, fitness levels, skill levels, races, economic backgrounds, etc. 3) Show is a recreational space. They don't expect you to do back flips when you walk in the door or even after your finish classes. You progress through a carefully planned out and studio standardized curriculum and are going at your own pace. This means you aren't forced through a leveling up system, but take a class until you're ready to move on to more advanced skills. In this way, your only competition is with yourself. 4) If other reviewers think the space is dirty and poorly organized, I recommend going in and checking out the space for yourself. Chris, the co-owner, does an amazing job of organizing the space along with Henry, the other co-owner. The lobby is GORGEOUS and the studio itself is perfect for recreational circus skills - vibrant colors, clean, and rigged to perfection for easy changes between classes. I'm very impressed. I highly recommend SHOW to anyone, especially to the LGBTQIA community - as SHOW and its staff are strong allies to the community. I wouldn't feel safe in a gym situation and I've never felt unsafe at SHOW. I cannot speak highly enough of them and my experiences with the studio.

Therapy is great, but there is something very special about working with the horses and getting out of your own head. I highly recommend to anybody that has been thinking about checking it out. Michelle is a very kind hearted and accommodating person and will work with you at whatever level you're at. She is there to support you through the process and guide you with the horses.
