I am usually wary of smaller RV parks in more remote areas or near areas of interest, as my experience has led me to have many so-so to poor stays. However, I was pleasantly impressed and happy about staying here. Checking in was seamless and quick, spots were level and had ample space between neighbors. The lawns are well kept and mature trees provide shade and protection. The dog park is filled with toys and has a tons of space for large or small dogs alike. Loved the on-site BBQ place...food and service were top notch; an absolutely wonderful experience. WiFi was the best I've ever, EVER had in any park I've visited as they are smart enough to have three WiFi networks to avoid slow down from overburdening one. They also have a fun family game area with "axe" (plastic) throwing, horseshoes, corn hole...tons of games, just super fun and unexpected. The only downside is the proximity to the main road. Though convenient for access, there is an extraordinary large amount of big rigs that pass through at high rates of speed or lay on their compression brakes, so it can be rather loud in rows A-C, closest to the road. This isn't the fault of the park, and they have taken some steps by putting large bushes and a green belt to cushion the sound from guests. Just made for an intermittent night of sleep, but to be fair, I live in a very quiet neighborhood so having any sound was probably more the reason. read more

The new owners have put a lot of personal touches to this RV Park including upgraded electricity at all sites, a groomed dog park, a comfortable outdoor park for socialising, eating and more, upgraded restrooms, laundry room, excellent restaurant loved by visitors and locals. There is plenty of shaded sites. Ryan and his wife, Stephanie are very personable and pleasant to all visitors. Highly recommend this RV Park for a stay. read more

What a great little bbq joint. Some of the best we've have since leaving Tx. Fried pickles, jalapeño hush puppies with honey butter, who woulda thunk it? Great rack of pork ribs. Would highly recommend. If you're traveling to or thru Arco Idaho. You'll wanna save your appetite. And their RV park is pretty nice too. read more

This place is a little expensive for what it is. The spots are nice and most have shade and the spacing is OK. We rented our site on-line and were a little annoyed the confirmation email doesn't come with codes for facilities. (Not unusual, maybe the price you pay for booking at last minute). Would have given this 4-stars, but the showers are coin operated. Maybe that's more common than I think but it was a first for us. read more

We just finished staying 2 nights at the Mountain View RV Park and had a great stay. We picked to stay in Arco, so we could visit the Craters of the Moon National Park (about 20 minutes away). We have stayed at several rv parks in our road trip and this one was the cleanest and has the most space between sites, which is super nice. We used the laundry room there (super clean) and the showers which was super nice after a day of hiking. We also ate at the restaurant there the last night and it was delicious! The ribs were fantastic! I would definitely eat there again. We spoke to the owners and they bought the park in March 2021 and opened it in May. They are doing an excellent job of fixing the place up as well as offering a great service. If we ever go through Arco again, we'll stay here! read more

We chose this RV Park because they offer the most spacious parking spots of all the parks in town. We were going to visit the Crater's of the Moon and this park was closer than the others as well. The owners are friendly and were excited to meet our little dachshunds since they have one of their own. The park wasn't overly crowded at the time of year we visited so they placed us in a spot in the back row without any adjacent neighbors which made for a nice and quiet stay. Unfortunately, we missed trying their BBQ restaurant because it wasn't open on the days we were there. This is a Good Sam park but the rates are a bit pricier than other parks we've stayed. We did not use the restrooms, showers, laundry room or the dump station, but they are available. They also sell propane on site. I would recommend this park if you are visiting Arco. read more

Great place with courteous new young owners. Yes, the park is old but that means big full trees, grassy areas between each site and with new owners with lots of ideas and enthusiasm, I look forward to each bi-annual stay. We live 6 hours north so whenever we go south, this is our first stop and where we get "organized" for the whole trip. Everyone mentions the restaurant because it's worth mentioning- again, the new owners! read more

Camp owners are amazing, we arrived late unable to previously book reservations, they allowed us to Boon dock on their 17acres for 24 hours at which time a vacancy opened. We had shade,full hook ups,the Restaurant on-site had BBQ pork ribs ,smoked potatoes and beans,,they were superior! There is propane on site,air for tires,laundry room. Miniature golf and a very relaxing shade tree near office to sit under and relax. 27 miles from Craters of the Moon National Park and just a hope down town to local grocery store. Great RV park with maintained sites, clean facilities and excellent restaurant. Be sure to eat at the restaurant while staying on the weekends. The owner is known for his ribs and they are excellent! Ribs were so tender and juicy that the meat fell off the bone. By far one of the best bbq ribs in the country. Ribs are served after 5pm on weekends. read more

We stayed here for a couple nights in the RV park. Ordered pulled pork sandwiches and ribs from their restaurant and they were amazing. Crisp fries and the bacon potato salad was so good. I was blown away at how good this food was. Also local beer on tap! The park is quiet and clean. My only complaint is there are no picnic tables at the RV sites so we couldn't sit outside of our camper with the family to eat our awesome meal. read more

I've never stayed at the RV Park, so this review is for the food. Best ribs I've ever tasted-- and I've been all over the world. The smoked baked potato is also not to be missed. Ribs are only available Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and it's best to call ahead since they go fast. I attached a pic but it really doesn't do this masterpiece justice. Great service and the proprietors are really neat people who care about their customers. They also have a great wine selection and the best margaritas north of the border. We stopped here to stay the night from a long 9 hours of driving. To our surprise they had a restaurant on site, made our decision to eat there and not cook in the RV. WHAT A BIG TREAT we got! BBQ Rib night. I ordered a half rack and my wife ordered a quarter rack. It came with a giant baked potato, home made coleslaw, and garlic bread. I went to cut the ribs and the meat fall right off the bones. It was the best tasting ribs I have had in a long time. I would recommend this place to stay and eat. OK there's two things to review at Mountain View RV Park. RV Park: Located right on the Hwy 20 and yes you get the car and truck traffic going by during the day but it didn't bother us. By the evening it really quieted down. New owners really putting effort to maintenance and in mid-September they were already preparing for winter. So friendly and welcoming us to the park, and we would come back again. Gravel lots pull-thru lots, with full-hookups wasn't a problem for our travel trailer. Diner: This is what sold us for coming back. We were told earlier in the week when we checked in they served BBQ dinners, Thursday through Sunday. It was so worth the wait. The owner/cook brought Carolina style BBQ with her to Idaho, and what we immediately noticed was the pulled pork and spare ribs were extremely moist with a smoke crust on the ribs. Wonderful. What turned out to be the closer for me was the smoke baked potatoes. I am not a big baked potato fan, but the waiter/owner said I had to try these potatoes because it had been smoking for hours. The crunchy skin and inside had this amazing smoke flavor mixed with butter. So good, I spent more time working on the potato over the ribs. The smoked pork was good the potato was excellent. All went down with a nice cold IPA beer on tap. We hope to come back to do a bit of fly fishing on the Little Lost River, and of course to order their potato. read more

Having trouble with our 2019 truck, we wanted the nicest park reasonably close to Idaho Falls for an indefinite period. This park had the highest reviews. A phone call later, the owner was as accommodating as we needed. After having just been in Alpine, Wyoming, this area initially looked pretty bland. But not the park. Given the 'almost semiarid high desert' ecosystem, the park is exceptional. Beautiful trees (which could present fixed satellite tv reception interference) provided great shade for sitting outside. Easily accessible from the main roads (therefore you have the trade off of some road noise). Any park that has an on-site restaurant with great food is going to be to our liking. No cable, but very good internet. Truly an oasis in the desert. read more

When you are traveling on the road and you have never been to a certain town and there are no reviews for a particular RV park for where you are planning on staying on yelp you are leery. But lo and behold this place is a real gem. When we phoned ahead for a reservation the woman on the phone was very helpful and gave me her husband so I could get directions to the park. You know when traveling with a big fifth wheel trying to maneuver through a town looking for an RV park can be very irritating to the driver (my husband). So he gave me the exact directions and they were spot on. When we arrived check in was effortless and the office was also the cafe and I asked about dinner and they said they smoked ribs and also served crab legs and shrimp. The sites are gravel and very level since we were just staying the night we didn't have to unhook. They offer 30/50 amp, water, sewer and wifi for free. The sites have a grassy area, BBQ and picnic table. There are many trees scattered throughout the park. The owners said they just bought the place Memorial Day weekend and are making improvements, but I think they are doing quite well already. There is also a mini golf, horseshoe pit and laundry facility. Now for the cafe, we decided to go for dinner and we both ordered the smoked rib dinner. It came with salad and a smoked baked loaded potato. Those ribs fell off the bone and were absolutely amazing..... read more

It was our first time to Arco, Idaho to explore Craters of the Moon National Monument. I booked our spot on line, and from the website and map you really couldn't tell how close to the road the park is. The trucks passing by can be heard from all the sites. So if you're one who wants to hang out and read a book or just relax on the grass in front of your RV, it can be a bit loud. If I was rating this park solely off of the location, I would give it a 3 and a half to four. The five stars are for the friendly, helpful service by the new owners, and the delicious food at their on-site cafe. The day we arrived our kitchen sink started leaking, then we had problems with our toilet, which made it inoperable. The owner offered a plumbing part to help us get by and they gave us a refund for the one day that we left earlier than planned. The facilities are clean and the park is well kept with improvements on the way. read more

Okay I don't do reviews but my wife and I just spent 2 nights in this RV park and restaurant. The new owners Ryan and Stephanie were wonderful hosts and the restaurant was amazing. The first night we had the bbq smoked ribs that were the best ever and the second night my wife had the elk burger and I had the pulled pork sandwich both excellent. We also chose sides of smoked potato salad and Mac and cheese. All the best ever. The wings appetizer were great also. These are really great people and if your ever in Arco Idaho or if you live around here you're missing some of the better food and hosts in the country. read more

Everything was wonderful! The sites were very clean and spacious. The laundry room was very clean. We had not intended to do laundry but it was clean and inexpensive so we decided to go ahead. This is an older slightly worn park right off highway 20 with traffic but don't let that stop you from coming in. Lots of trees, open fields, full hookups, all pull-thrus/leveled, spacious, laundry and showers. The big plus is the cafe, part of the office. Open at 5 pm , the large bbq pulled pork on a toasted bun with baked potato salad is delicious. They specialize in bbq ribs. Very nice staff. We recommend this stop when you visit Craters of the Moon. August 2021 read more

The staff person for the park and restaurant was rude and incompetent. It took 20 minutes to get served a beer and over an hour to get our food. I finally had the fish and chips after trying to order pork chops (on menu but don't really have them) and catfish (on menu but not really because you have to order them 30 minutes ahead of time). The fish and chips were long on chips and short on fish. My wife's liver and onions were very good. She shared or I would have gone home hungry. The Park itself is pleasant but the service is horrible. The wifi does not work and the staff is not helpful. When I told them the wifi did not work I was asked to leave. I was not raising my voice or being belligerent. They are just terribly defensive. read more

We stayed at this park in early April of 2021 after visiting Craters of the Moon, which is about 17 miles away. What a nice, clean, spacious little RV park! It is under new ownership by a very nice young couple from back east but they are so nice and helpful and friendly. The restaurant is not yet open but they anticipate that it will be soon. Had to change plans due to fires in Oregon. Not heading to Oregon meant not traveling thru Arco. I understand times are tough but giving the situation and 6 days advanced noticed I would have expected a refund but was told I could only receive a credit. Living 1800 miles from Arco, not certain I will be traveling thru Arco soon. I was disappointed with their policy. Be aware when paying by check in advance. read more

Nice campground off main road. The man that runs it is kind of a smarty...... but ok. Only water/elec and dump site. 42.12 include tax for one night hmmmm !!!Kind of spendy for where we r and amenities. You have to be out by 10:00AM. Most parks give you till 11:00 or noon. For every hour you stay over 20.00 The sites r gravel and ours totally level. Pretty tree s, lots of grass and clean restrooms. read more

First, this looks like a very nice place, well kept and clean. The low rating is due to our experience with this park the day before the eclipse. We just wanted a space to park our SUV for one night, and were quoted a price of $200 per night with a two-night minimum. He mentioned that the price had just dropped from $300 per night. We ended up parking at a nice location with grass and a bathroom with hot water for $15 per night, no minimum stay. read more

We stopped at Mt View, as we are Good Sam members. The manager acted miffed we didn't have a reservation, though there were plenty of spots. We drove to the site he assigned to find sprinklers going, one broken, and a pond under the picnic table. We told the manager, he acted annoyed (said "you don't like water?") and turned the sprinklers off. Our two dogs would have been soaked at that site so we asked for another (plenty were empty). He refused and said "you don't want to argue with me!" Despite being there only 10 minutes total, we were uncomfortable with his rudeness & hostility. Asked for a refund, he refused. We left anyway. The KOA in Arco is much quieter, the people were wonderful, and it was even $2 cheaper with a veterans discount. BTW, the KOA will also refund your money within the first hour if you aren't happy with their amenities! read more

I think 1 star is still to generous. Started off that we reserved and paid for 50amp service, but was placed in a 30amp spot. Then when my husband went down to get it cleared up she had charged us more then our cousins who were right next to us. It was determined that she gave our cousins a discount. Since they shouldn't have received that discount they went down to his spot and asked for more money instead of eating it. We picked this spot because we were told they had good BBQ, but that was closed. Then when it was time to check out we were an hour late from checkout. Checkout is 10:00 and not a minute past. The owner made a comment that he really hates it when people hang out after checkout. Mind you, we were unplugging things. I even told the owner that we just needed to dump the tanks and we would be out of here. Just wanted to make sure we were aware that we owed him $20. Then as we were about to pull out he putts his damn golf cart so close to us and reminds us we owe him $20. We will NEVER come back to this place again. read more
