Thank goodness she was excepted to Montebello. First class staff. She said she will miss them very much. Said the food was very good most of the time. Wanted to know if they grubhub? We were so pleased that she was taken care of and wanted anyone who is looking for a place... this one is it. The only person, whom was nice, but not very responsive & dropped the ball was the social worker. We would take our loved ones there anytime.

The following list of problems describes the problems that my family member (and responsible family…read moremember) experienced during her time at The Montebello Assisted Living from approximately 2024 - 2026. Hopefully, the list of problems have been corrected by now. 1) Lack of communication from the Executive Director to the family member responsible; 2) lack of communication about problems the person in AL was experiencing; no written notice and instead asked to find another place to live as soon as possible; 3) Family member had asked for a meeting to learn more about how family member was doing and at that meeting the family member was told that the AL individual (and responsible family member) had to find another place to live; 4) after AL individual had lived there for 2 years, the Montebello did not call the correct number for the family member responsible; family member in charge there on a regular basis - no personal communication or by email or cell phone call or text; 4) difficulty in getting messages to AL and no reliable and direct way to talk with staff in AL by phone; 5) No consistent communication or email to family about upcoming activities or holiday dinners etc. 6) Increase in bill without communication to responsible family member and no assessment to warrant the increase in bill. I hope that these problems are not experienced by others with a family member in AL.

They are great at communicating with my mom if there is anything of concern. The meals are nutritious and their chef, Mark, knows every resident by name. Laundry and cleaning are done on a weekly basis. The property is landscaped beautifully and provides a serene and inviting environment for residents to sit outside on the multiple patio areas. Residents have daily activities they can choose from such as a morning coffee chat or Boggle in the afternoon along with yoga once a week. Kimberly, the Community Relations Director, is on top of any issues that may come up and treats the residents and family as if they are a part of her own family. It is a true community and family.

The staff are warm and friendly, and extremely responsive to their residents, making sure that they are comfortable and safe. The rooms are cleaned, laundry is done on a weekly basis, beds are changed routinely, and the chef prepared meals are wonderfully delicious. There are daily activities, a wellness center for mild exercise, and a beauty shop and open patios where clients and family may enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Kimberly, the community relations director, goes out of her way to make sure that the transition from independent living is as smooth as possible, assisting both the client and the family. There is close communication between the staff and family members. This little jewel of a facility is located adjacent to the balloon fiesta park, nestled within established landscaping. It's a calm, inviting atmosphere for anyone. I highly recommend this facility for anyone.

My father really likes the food and all the employees are just terrific. I'm so grateful to have a place like Casitas to care for an elderly parent, especially when you are an only child. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Vanessa and Monica, the owners. They keep on top of everything from medication to general care to appointments. They are outstanding in the cleanliness, the care and the overall atmosphere. Everyone is kind, gentle and friendly. My father receives 24-hour care. His comment is always "I'm treated like a King!" They have opened a second facility on Academy Street. I have seen both homes and they are both gorgeous. I have tremendous relief and freedom. I am eternally grateful for Casitas.
