The first place I called was ready to come do the job today however, they wanted $49 to come and give me an estimate and if I chose their bid, the $49 would be waived. This seemed odd to me as they could come out, quote me $1,000 to do the job and then collect $49 when I decline such a high bid. I wasn't born yesterday, well, maybe the day before yesterday but definitely not yesterday! My next stop was TriCities Electric and I looked no further. TriCities Electric sent out Michael who was knowledgeable, detail oriented and showed great care and respect toward my home. The job took a total of around 2 hours and we are very satisfied with the work. Michael told me the job took a little longer than anticipated however he was going to stick with the original quote (which we felt was already extremely reasonable). Time from initial phone call to completion was less than 24 hours. My experience with the staff at TriCities Electric left me with the impression they are responsive, honest and competent. I plan to use them again for our future home projects.

He surveyed the situation and gave me a quote, then returned a few days later to do the job. Unfortunately, once he got started on it, he realized that what appeared to be the correct wiring between the house and garage was not sufficient to carry the current needed for a 30 amp plug. He was very apologetic, but I appreciated his honesty and that he didn't go ahead and install something that wouldn't be any better than the 125 volt extension cord I was already running. He refused payment for his time spent, and even switched out a faulty light switch for us before leaving - again at no charge. I will definitely contact Joe again when I need work done.

Bob's team did an absolutely fantastic job getting everything sorted out and were open and transparent throughout the process, making it a stress free process for us and giving me a huge dose of "feel good" about the safety of the home we're moving into. I'm a worrier and a perfectionist by nature, and this being my first home purchase turned those tendencies up to 11. I'm sure they wished at times that I'd just let them alone so they could get the job done, but all of my questions and concerns were met with open, honest, and kind spirited responses. So on top of the great work, they were just good people. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
