Called Donnie for a quote repairing panels on my barn. He came out as promised and gave me a very fair quote (I'm a general contractor} and understand the scope of the job and reasonable profit. He told me his crew would be out in @10 days but called me and asked if they could come out earlier. You bet. Rains a comin. Exactly on time his crew arrived and began work immediately. They were very professional and were very neat. Donnie arrived soon after they started and hoped up on the 30 ft roof to join in the fun! They were done by mid day and I was very satisfied with the whole process. My thanks to Donnie and his crew. Well done! read more

Mountain Roofing systems is the best little over 4 years ago. They rushed out when we had a leak in our kitchen. When everyone else said they would take a week or longer to get there, they were there in 4 hours. Now we got a new roof and we love it! read more

Why would I want mountain roofing to fix my roof ever again. Not all businesses are as they claim. Others should know , i wish I had! Debra Lococo read more

Do not hire this company our landlord hired them last season to tear off old asbestos roof and replace with new one. The new roof looked good but there was old JUNKS and chips all over the back Parking lot and front yard of the old asbestos roof! I tried to bring this to the attention of the "forman" but he did not speak English and come to find out no one on the crew did enough to effectivly communicate. So after they were complete done and left I waited a couple of days and called Mountain Roofing. The receptionist had a short attitude but the OWNER came over I talked to him showed him all the way around the house that was littered with pieces upto 4" and countless smaller pieces. He picked a couple of the larger junks up carried them around a bit cussed threw the junks back in the yard and drove off in his fancy truck and we never heard from anyone from Mountain again. Im writing this review now because Im still finding junks while cleaning my cooler for summer this year. Anyone else has got to be better then this company at least they might not be so rude and disrespectful! read more

Mountain Roofing Systems - Pieces of old asbestos roof that I missed. - Roofing Near Me - Placerville, California

In the winter of 2021, after just recovering from the Caldor fire evacuations, our newly purchased home experienced a partial roof truss collapse due to the weight of ice and snow. As a result, there was an insurance claim filed and an estimate for repairs provided by the Carrier. In order to do our due diligence, we received estimates from many local and regional roofers who were interested in the work. After whittling it down to 3 companies (Mountain, American Eagle and Nail It!), we decided to go with Mountain - because they were local and they had the Owens-Corning system and color that we wanted for the new truss system. We were very impressed with Sean and Melissa - at how attentive to detail they were to all of our questions and technical needs, as well as the communication about demolition dates, roof loading dates and installation. Due to the fact that we had to coordinate with the general contractor on rolling the new trusses, installing sheathing and County inspections - all before they loaded the roof in preparation for the installation , my phone calls and text messages with Sean and the office staff were constant. But they answered all of the questions, worked with our availability and readiness dates and were very understanding about the whole situation. Above all, what stands out to me is the integrity of Sean and his staff when something went awry and something was inadvertently damaged in the course of demolition. He (Sean) immediately responded with care and concern and didn't make excuses for the error. Instead, he corrected the matter and we moved on with the project. Most other companies would make excuses and/or try to avoid the responsibility - which shows lack of character and integrity. Not Mountain Roofing Systems. They are rock stars and I'm so happy that we chose their product and crews to complete the work on the house. If you're looking for a competitive bid on a replacement or repair, please call Mountain first - and see how pleased you can be! Thank you, Sean, Melissa and family for an amazing experience. read more

Twelve years ago, Mountain Roofing installed our standing seam metal roof. At some point the roof developed a small but persistent leak. Initially the leak was hard to detect because the underside of the roof was insulated with blown foam which absorbed and held the leaked water like a sponge. When the leak became apparent, they agreed after inspection that an installation defect had allowed the leak to occur. Mountain Roofing replaced / repaired damaged material, coordinated with the original foam installer to replace damaged insulation, replaced metal roofing and arranged for some warped flooring to be repaired without cost to us. Mountain Roofing immediately installed plastic sheeting over the open area when rain became a threat, until insulation could be fixed and roof repairs completed. They kept us informed of progress, promptly responded to my questions and were always pleasant to deal with. They fixed our problem without any hesitation, finger pointing or other foot dragging. What more could anyone want from their contractor? This is a local business well worth supporting. I cannot recommend Mountain Roofing highly enough. Alan Slagle, El Dorado read more

Very professional and responsive. I was pretty nervous as some things didn't go so smoothly but every issue was addressed. It's easy when things go well on a project but true professionals navigate the bumps (and nervous home owners) with tact and action. Definitely recommend. read more

All businesses should be run like this! From start to finish, Mountain Roofing was professional, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Their price was reasonable (the best, actually) and they finished our beautiful roof in 2 days. Communication from the business was excellent and friendly. And we were extremely impressed by the work ethic of the crew. Our property was cleaner when they left! A new roof costs a lot of money and it's a big decision. We're glad we chose Mountain Roofing. It was a positive experience and we really appreciate it. read more

I highly recommend Mountain Roofing Systems. Seven years ago MRS replaced the roofing on my 97-year-old mom's roof. A minor leak developed five years later, and Donny was out the next day to seal a chimney flashing. Seven years later, after the heavy snow, my mom had questions about the gutters. Again, Donny was very responsive and came out and inspected the gutters. I've remodeled four houses and worked with many contractors. Donny stands out as being the most responsive and responsible. read more

So glad we found this team! They totally kicked butt on my chimney repaIr & cricket repair that we never figured out, probably leaking since 1952! Super grateful to Donnie & Sean & everyone in the offIce...we are almost done with the build out! New roof & gutters and we are smooth sailing. Thanks Mountain Roofing! read more

There are so many aspects to getting a roof. Somethings with Mountain roofing were 3 stars, others were 5 stars. I liked the no nonsense estimate. Sean just showed up and quickly did the estimate. Other companies I called wasted my time with a slide show and slick salesmanship. I got conflicting info from different companies. I called the tile manufacturer to see which company was accurate and they told me the same thing Mountain Roofing did. Meaning Mountain was giving accurate info and the other big name company was not. Mountain roofing did the roof when they said they would and finished on time. They were all professional, friendly, and courteous. They were great about protecting my plants during tear off. They also did not charge me extra for a new board I needed and they could have. I often did not get texts back from Sean, but when I called the office they were always helpful. The only bad thing was for some strange reason they didn't cover my deck during the process and now it's got tiny gummy raised black spots ALL over it. They do not come off with a hose or broom. There are WAY to many to scrap off. I called and was told Sean would come look at it but so far he hasn't. I will have to hire someone to come see if they can come get the guck off, and am not happy about having to pay for that. The gummy stuff on the deck is getting tracked into the house and onto my carpet so I don't want to keep waiting for Sean to come by. I'm NOT happy about them not covering the deck or coming by to tell me what that stuff is!! But I am happy with the roof, employees, and everything else overall. read more

---Received call from the owner, thank you for the prompt response and clarification. MRS won't do final painting/touch up (though they will treat the wood) around flashing should it be necessary and that makes sense. Probably buried in the agreement somewhere, but I'd remind folks so they can take necessary steps to complete. Thanks for your attention to the matter. ********** Did a fine job on my roof, just don't pay before the job is done, my bad I suppose. All the detail work incomplete and I have to do it myself lest I leave the untreated wood exposed. After 5 interactions and being told the job would be complete, it still isn't a year later and I'm doing it myself. Major PITA. read more

Had gutter guards installed on our house. Quick, friendly and very professional. Highly recommend their company for your needs.

Mountain High roofing did an excellent job on my roof replacement. They do quality work. Sean has a great crew, and completed the job on schedule, with no delays. He also installed they gutter system around our roof, that eliminates any Pineneedles from entering. They also have very competitive pricing. I highly recommend them. I have a cabin near Strawberry on highway 50. During the winter my cabin roof took a beating during a storm. I can not get to my cabin during the winter so I didn't find out about it till spring. I got several estimates, and was completely satisfied with the bid from Mountain Roofing Systems. Sean and his crew did a great job, and in the time frame they gave me. The office staff were great to work with also. I highly recommend this company if you need a new roof or roof repair in the future. read more

Donnie and crew did an excellent job replacing my roof on a steep and complicated Victorian multi-story house in Fairplay. Matched portion of roof that was newer in great fashion. Great cleanup every day, and took care of all the roof penetrations. Installed gutter guards on my shop and barn, using a better product than what I had suggested. Roofs now not only look great, but are fire safe as well. Nice crew, easy to work with. Took care of any matter that arose. read more

We had a tree fall on the roof during the snow storm creating a leak in the roof. I googled local roofing companies and just started going down the line and calling them all. Mountain Roofing was the first company that was willing to come out for an emergency call. They were out within a few hours to tarp the area. The two guys were fast, efficient and went above and beyond. We will now be using this company for our roof repair. Thank you! read more

I did want to take the time to update my previous yelp review. Upon a long conversation with Donnie he did explain to me the situation with the notice I received. I felt better that he took the time to explain it and I understood it with more clarity. Since that time we've also had a couple of severe leaks in our skylights. When I contacted Mountain Roofing Systems they had someone out within two hours to tarp them and help with some of the water intrusion. Because of our past miscommunication and circumstances Donnie had the new skylights installed and didn't charge us labor which was appreciated. read more

Mountain Roofing did a GREAT JOB for us. The new roof is beyond beautiful. Most important was the service. Donnie came out did a quote for us, we had a couple of unforeseen expenses that mandated we wait. 10 months later, they honored the quote, and completed our roof last week. The crew is a great bunch of guys. We enjoyed having them on our property. Without a doubt, I would recommend Mountain Roofing to anyone! read more

Great Roof; Fair Price I found Mountain Roofing on line and I got lucky. Donnie came up and did a thorough inspection (no charge). He gave me a detailed report and quote including pictures. His crew (brother, son, and step son) was fast, competent, friendly, and meticulous in cleaning up after. Their quote was lower than others I received and they did not pad it with extras. The finished product speaks for itself. My neighbors need a roof. They saw the job Mountain did and they signed up. I can recommend these guys with no reservations. read more

It's funny to see all these 5 star comments and how one person even said they were "First Class Job and First Class People" No they are not. First of all I need you all to know they are NOT bird people they threw a few nests they found in the roof like it was trash others were left in the roof and the exit was blocked so they couldn't exit and they could be heard chirping for two days when they were told they said they would look but never did. So the birds were silent, and we all know what that means. Then they put some kind of paper on the roof so it wouldn't get wet, only a few things 1) they didn't cover the whole roof, some parts didn't even get covered at all. 2) some places weren't nailed down all the way So as you can guess some of the roofs leaked and worse some caved in and in some areas a man came through. They had someone come and look at the damage in the ceiling but they didn't do anything about the wood damage. FYI they didn't replace the attic insulation. Anything they break they say "it was like that, we didn't do it" They did put new gutters but as I look at them I'm wondering how is the water going to drain since there were no downspout to drain so when it rains the water will have no place to drain and will end up breaking and someone is going to get hurt. read more
