I cannot say enough good things about Ciera Huha. I am a mortgage loan officer here in California,…read moreand Ciera was my mom's buying agent when she moved from Colorado back home to Siskiyou County. Ciera worked with mom for months while mom looked at different properties. Her patience, compassion, communication, and individual, personal care far exceeded my expectations. I deal with many agents in my day-to-day work, and Ciera is top of the line. When she found "the one" for mom, the escrow process was quick and smooth, and she went above and beyond in making sure mom received everything she asked for. She even took care of granting unconventional requests late in the process that would normally not be considered. She wanted to make sure her client was 100% happy, and she did what it took to effect that. I could not have asked for my mom to be in any better hands for this process. I highly recommend Ciera Huha. Working with her, rest assured she will find your perfect home, and you will be taken great care of!

We tend to stay in the same homes, right on the Plumas Pines Golf Course. The homes have been updated, well appointed and super clean. This year, it was fully contactless, with keyless entry, combined with a high level of communication before, during and after our stay. Whether golfing or just coming up to enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty, I highly recommend using this outfit when planning your stay.

In October, 2017, we found an attractive rental home (44 Sequoia Circle) for the following June of this year (June 10 - 17, 2018). It was expensive, but in a great location. Most importantly, it advertised "SORRY NO PETS ALLOWED," a requirement since my wife is highly allergic to pet hairs, and WiFi was provided. Upon arrival, this is what we found: - Dog hair all over floors, carpets, towels, duvet in master bedroom, etc. - WiFi couldn't be connected - Garbage disposal was broken - Master bedroom outer window was shattered from an errant golf ball - Sliding screen door opening onto the patio was broken, thus we had no access to the patio looking out onto the golf course. We cleaned immediately, the best we could, with a vacuum cleaner full of dog hair. When complaining about false advertisement regarding the pet policy, we were told that policy only applies to renters and that the owner occupied the house for several weeks with his dog prior to our occupancy. Eventually the garbage disposal and sliding door to the patio were fixed, and upon day 3 the house was cleaned by professionals, but of course we had to vacate the premises. Management could never get the WiFi to work with the owner-provided pass code, and the broken master window continued to drop outer paned glass onto the deck throughout the week. How to conclude? On our morning departure date, we returned the keys to the manager of the rental agency (Ellen Cantrell), expressed our disappointment with the condition of the home, especially the false advertisement of "SORRY NO PETS ALLOWED," but were given no apology, not even any suggestion of compensation for the terrible conditions we encountered. Just remember when you sign the "Vacation Rental Terms and Conditions," it means YOU take full responsibility for anything and everything, not the "Agent" or "Owner.!

My sides were cool, but my steak was excellent and my husband's order was perfect. The issue is the incredibly poor service. It took over 30 mins to get our drinks, over and hour to get our meal. The table next to us mentioned that it took 45 mins to get their bottle of wine. Both tables agreed had the server communicated they were short staffed and acknowledged us during our wait it we would have felt better about the situation. We were at Longboards last week and they had just let a few employees leave early since they were not busy. Then the rush arrived. Our busboy brought us water and explained that they were a short staffed, but the server would get to us as soon as she could. Dinner took a bit longer than expected, but it was within a reasonable time frame. The one server and busboy were very attentive and our three cocktails arrived quicly each time we ordered. When paying our bill we complimented the service and noticed that the restaurant was full and there was only one server and one busboy. She mentioned that the busboy was the manager and he steps in anytime help is needed. Nakoma management needs to visit Longboards and take a lesson back home.

Their "lodge" is better described as a clean, quiet convenience hotel. I completely agree with other reviews - who thought a window in the bathroom was a good idea? My roommate used the bathroom in the night and the light woke me up! Stupid design! The pool, fitness center, and casual dining are in a building about 1 mile up the road. Unfortunately, they don't open early so the in-room Keurig coffee maker is all you have. We were there for a 2-day golf tournament played at Graeagle and Plumas Pines with a 7:30am check-in, so we had to drive to Portola to find a place for to-go breakfast and coffee. We had to double back to the golf course. Nothing in this area is close. Cars are a must, so if someone is golfing early and takes your only car, the rest of you are stranded! Up the hill further is the main lodge. The beamed ceiling room in all their photos is their restaurant. The food was very good. Local vacationers shared it is one of the two really good restaurants in the area (Iron Door is the other, btw.) Get an early reservation if you want to sit outside or at a view table. More than 1/3 of the tables don't have a view. The bar, adjacent to the pro shop in that building is tiny and has no view at all. Not much of a 19th hole! It appeared most golfers rejoin their families by the pool, where the casual dining/bar is. The pro shop for the Dragon had lots of souvenirs and men's golf merch. There was very little women's golf merch. Nakoma appears more interested in selling lots. There are a number of gates to neighborhoods that appear empty. If this area develops, they have plans for a Market on the property, but it's TBD. If you are used to mid to high end resorts, it will disappoint. If you want a clean non-rustic hotel room, this place works. All the other local options are either very rustic or vacation rentals.
