En route to Steamboat Springs and needing a quick break from the monotonous four hour drive, I…read moredecided to make a quick stop in Kremmling and grab a quick brew at Grand Adventure Brewing! SPACE/ATMOSPHERE: You can tell that the space was definitely a bar in it's previous life. Inside it's cozy like a hunters cabin. There's a pool table, wood burning stove, and a few mounts on the walls. I chose to cozy up to the bar, so I could chat a bit with the beertender during my visit. BREWS: I opted to sip on the Katie Says (a chokecherry honey wine) during my visit. This 12% ABV mead is def a sold brew and the nitro makes it super smooth and it had zero cough-medicine-esque notes. The chokecherries are locally sourced from the very own yard too! How fun! They have a small variety of every brew style available and a handful of guest taps too. SERVICE: The beertender working was super helpful and friendly as I browsed the tap list. She offered to answer any questions I had and brought over a food menu to in case I was craving something more substantial with my beverage. EATS: They share a space with The Dean West Restaurant and Brewstillery, so they do offer a variety of eats out of the from scratch kitchen. From burgers and sandwiches, to appetizers - they definitely have you covered. I find myself driving through Kremmling a few times a year and would gladly make a stop to see what new things Grand Adventure Brewing Company is brewing up! Cheers, Kremmling!

I got the GAB Co Grilled Cheese with fries, which delicious! The Kirshbaum beer came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Everyone in the group of 7 was very happy with their beer and food. I dont make it to Kremmling often, but will be stopping by here as often as I come through!!

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at High Alpine Brewing…read more We chose this brewery because we thought it was pet friendly, especially since they have a large outdoor upstairs patio. When we arrived, we were initially told dogs weren't allowed. I explained that our dog is extremely well-behaved and simply lays quietly under the table. The hostess said that was fine and seated us at a table right next to the outdoor area. After we sat down, three different employees approached us asking whether our dog was a service animal, even though another staff member had already approved her being there. By that point, we felt singled out and uncomfortable. The final employee was particularly rude and suggested we could tie "it" to a tree if we wanted to eat there. Referring to our dog as "it" and suggesting we leave her tied outside was shocking and unnecessary. Rather than continue feeling unwelcome, we decided to order a pizza to go. We had planned to stay for drinks, appetizers, and dinner, but instead we ate in our car. The prosciutto pizza was decent, but it was much saltier than we expected. At that point, we were just hungry and wanted to leave. What was most disappointing wasn't the dog policy itself--businesses are absolutely entitled to set their own policies. It was the inconsistent communication and the way we were treated after being told it was okay to stay. Instead, the experience left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

So sad to update this review but after our recent experiences I feel it's necessary…read more A couple months ago when the weather was still nice me and my husband decided to sit on the patio. We ordered 2 grilled mother cluckers and bock bock fries (our go to). It was about 4pm and there were only a few people there (we were the only ones outside). After about 40 minutes waiting for our food I decided to go in to check on things. Our order was sitting on the counter. Their response was "sometimes the buzzer doesn't work from the table you're sitting at"..... ummmmm what? We ended up eating the cold chicken (and I mean cold, not luke warm) sandwiches because we were starving but asked them to remake the fries. Fast forward to a few weeks ago it was a Friday and me and a friend ordered some sandwiches and sat in the back half of the brewery . After about 25 minutes my buzzer went off. When I got up to the counter there was an order of fish and chips... they called the wrong buzzer. No biggie. Well another 20 minutes went by and nothing. People around us that ordered after us were getting their food. So I went back up to the counter and there on their service line were our chicken sandwiches. When I asked the employee about my order she went back and checked and came back and said "we just finished them up". I took the sandwiches back to the table and again they were COLD. Not to mention since the coleslaw was sitting on the bun they were completely soggy. Didn't take the sandwiches back because we had a baby with us that needed to go to bed. I'm not sure if it's a buzzer issue or what. But we aren't sure if / when we will be returning to Pomona, sadly.

It's definitely a place that we'll come back to. They have a bunch of excellent beers and there is a food truck in the back that serves delicious wood fired thin crust pizza and other "gourmet street food" according to the writing on their truck. We had two of their large pies and an order of Wisconsin cheese curds. Between the four of us, I think we are all but one slice. As for the beer, I think we had at least 6 different beers. They have a great selection of pilsners and lagers that are around 5-6% abv, which is good since we had to drive. They also have a couple coolers with soft drinks for kiddos, DDs and those that don't drink beer. They also had a couple of hard seltzers available. All of the beers we tasted were great. I'd recommend getting a flight of 4 if you want to try a few different kinds. My favorite is probably theirr Free Stone lager. The space is pretty unique. All parking is in the back in a crushed stone parking lot. There is a deck off the front and the back. I think most of the action is either inside or on the back seating area. There was a gigantic TV inside where there was a football game showing, but we stayed mostly on the deck outside except for coming into get more beer and use the restrooms. There were three restrooms, M, W and either. Lots of high top tables inside and a handful of rocking chairs on the back deck. Be sure to bring a jacket or other layers because as soon as the sun goes down, we'll, it's Colorado so you should know. The temps dropped pretty quickly. It's a great place to bring well behaved dogs and meet up with friends for good food and drinks. We're adding it to our down valley rotation.
