We never tried this place in 13 years and then decided to try on Saturday 6/13/26 on a date date with my husband and it was pretty good and the service was great, However, when we went back this past Saturday 6/20/26 to take our boys ages 17 and 11 with us, they wanted to charge extra just for my youngest son to have a drumstick and tender for his kid meal. You typically get either two drumsticks or two tenders. I asked if he could just have one tender one drumstick... it should've been the same price I thought, but they charge us basically a whole other meal for it. Turns out that our boys didn't care for that place, and it put a sour note in our stomachs on their Customer Service. We won't be back. read more

My chicken breast was on the tough side, not tender. And it was not close to hot. Had been sitting in the counter for a while. The chicken is immaculate. I mean it will have you thanking the Lord it's just that amazing. The sides will have you wanting more and the employees are so nice and respectful. When we arrived the girl at the counter was very rude and impatient. It was a do it yourself order and sit situation, but most people were ordering to go, so we were not sure what to do. Every time we asked a question she answered very rudely and so quickly with an accent it was very hard to understand. When asked again, she got even more rude. By the time we got it all figured out we were not happy we drove an hour to have a nice dinner. Not only were the counter people rude, the customers were rude to. This is some of the best fried chicken I've ever had in my life. Really spectacular breading, juicy, and tender. All of the sides I've tried so far are just like grandmaw used to make them. Mashed potatoes and gravy, turnip greens, black eyed peas, and pinto beans have all been outstanding. You really get bang for your buck here also. I tried this today and was really impressed. To me, this was better than KFC. It wasn't greasy or slimy the way other chicken places can turn out. Something I don't see around here is "Broasted" chicken which was common up in Indiana. This chicken is comparatively the same as Broasted and i'm glad to have found this place because i've missed the Broasted chicken! Price was good too.
