We have tried donuts all over the world and these are one of the best. The owner is super friendly and gives you a sample when you come in, then explains the donut ordering process. They specialize in yellow cake donuts with various glazes and toppings so you can create your own or choose ones already created in the case. You can watch them bring fried so you know they're fresh! We were in a hurry so we ended up getting an assorted dozen and then cut most of them into fourths so we could try the various flavors. My favorite was the chocolate peanut butter... Came in on a whim since we're not in the area often. Top your own doughnuts by picking a coating, topping, and drizzle with lots of combinations! Or you can choose to pick a friends and family favorite or the staff favorites which also sound amazing. There's a window with a stool forlittles so they can watch the staff make their doughnut creations. The doughnut itself is light and fluffy on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside from being fried. The staff was super nice and helpful, we'll definitely be back to try more doughnuts! read more

Cute little donut shop in (South) Ogden. Lobby was closed but drive thru window was open. The owner greeted us at the window. I asked what the most popular donut was, even though there is a menu of F&F favorites and Staff favs right by the window. He said their most popular donut was prob something I may not get (or something along those lines). He was referring to the one with maple icing and bacon crumbles. My kids and I appreciated that he was friendly and aware of dietary restrictions due to religious reasons. He mentioned their second customer fav is the one named after him called the "Paulie" with peanut butter icing, Reeses cup crumbles and PB and chocolate drizzles. Of course we had to try that and it was delicious. We also tried the Lemoncello which was also yummy. Kids each ordered toppings a la carte-- one with lemon icing and a raspberry drizzle and the other with marshmallow creme and fruity pebbles. We all sampled each of the donuts and they were all very good. If you're looking for a greasy, chewy kind of donut, there is a Krispy Kreme up the street. Mountain donuts are light and cake like and hit the sweet craving. Will definitely stop by again to try other topping combinations. read more

Holy crap!! I was very skeptical of the donuts and expected it to be your typical donut shop but I was blown away by the excellent service along with the cozy friendly atmosphere. I ordered half a dozen donuts and I love the fresh ingredients along with fresh donuts and customization that you have with these I also was thrown in another donut for free by the owner I brought them to work to share with my coworkers and I will definitely be back the coffee was delicious and very fresh!! read more

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! My wife and I checked this place out a few weeks ago. I don't eat donuts very often, but cake donuts are my favorite. The owner welcomed us as we walked in the door and explained the ordering process to us. So many choices to pick from that I think we ordered more than we should have. Wanted a chocolate donut but they only serve those on Tuesday. What kind of donut place is this?? Not a classic donut shop from my first experience. Too busy making non sense, cereal donuts, ain't nobody want that. It's like going to a chicken place and only serving thigh chicken on Thursday. Makes no sense. Why do you need to make donuts taste like other food and why do you need to add weird toppings to them? 3 Stars because I didn't get poisoned and the customer service was good. Ok, true confessions time. On my drive home, I passed a young woman waving a giant plastic donut, advertising a new donut shop. Curiosity piqued and the afternoon slump hit at the same time and the care veered and stopped right in the donut parking lot. Weird! This lead me to wander into Mountain Donuts. A marvelous place where you can top your own donuts. They have a base cake donut, lovely on it's own, but then a myriad of toppings (icings, syrups, sprinkles, chips, bacon ((yes bacon)), etc) to order to complete your wonderful taste adventure. They make them on the spot. Have to say they were magnificent. What a brilliant concept. Only open for 2 weeks. I hope it is a success. It deserves to be. Well done Mountain Donuts! read more

It's so hard to find a donut shop these days! I was in the neighborhood recently and stopped in. They make deep fried vanilla cake donuts and you choose the icing, topping, and drizzle that you want. There is a dizzying array of combinations, but the friendly owner came over and showed me how easy the ordering process is. There are even some customer favorite combos if you want to try one of those. I bought 3 donuts to go with an assortment of toppings and they were all delicious. It would also be a fun place to bring your kids because they'd enjoy designing their idea of a perfect donut; maple icing with gummy bears and a chocolate drizzle perhaps? The donuts are $1.50 each, but you save by buying 6 or more. I do think they are worth the price because they are very filling. I highly recommend! read more

Delicious! Perfectly made cake doughnut--nice and tender on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside. Loved the choice to choose my own glaze, topping, and drizzle for each doughnut. Today's choices: caramel glaze with chocolate drizzle, regular glaze with coconut topping, lemon glaze with strawberry drizzle, maple glaze with bacon topping, and cinnamon sugar topping.
