Jeremy's own special twist on classic appetizers. The food was so good I had to answer "who is this caterer?" so many times. It went late then they were there with the same crew for lunch followed by dinner (over 250 people). A yummy dutch oven dinner of ribs, chicken, cheese potatoes, beans and cobbler. Thanks Iron Gate. We arrived the night before to set up a few little things of our own: photos, picture book, arch where the bride and groom stand. But other than that, they had EVERYTHING decorated and ready to go. And boy oh boy was it BEAUTIFUL! Great lighting, stunning furniture, beautiful brick walls, clean bathrooms and bride-room. It was amazing. The best part was they really did everything in that department, all we had to do was show up and try to look as good as the venue itself! Mitzi & Scott are the owners and they are some of the nicest and easiest people to work with. Scott was the music magician all night and announced the program throughout. He did a fabulous job! And Mitzi was behind the scenes making sure everything ran perfect and smooth. They catered a waffle bar during the reception (again, deliciously perfect and my mouth is salivating while writing this) and even boxed up some for my cute mom to take home at the end of the night since she didn't get a chance to taste it. You can check out her website to see how good her work is. There's no question about that. What stands out to me is how she interacts with and treats her clients. She did my newborn pictures recently. First off, baby was in the NICU on the day we had originally scheduled. Suzy checked in with me nearly every single day to see how my son was doing and offer words of encouragement. She was never pushy. She genuinely wanted to check on him. When we were finally able to do the session, she fit us in immediately. I didn't realize how stressful it can be to do newborn pics in general. They are completely naked and constantly need to feed so they are in a deep sleep. Suzy was so patient. You never got the sense that she was waiting on you. She even consoled my son numerous times during the shots to try and give me a break. I'll tell you that in the short 3 hours that we were there, she earned herself a repeat customer. I will never use another photographer again. I've already got friends and family wanting to know where my pics were done. The quality of the work speaks for itself, but when you throw in the customer service received, you won't find anyone better!

The table sizes are a bit small, so we wound up pulling two together in order to hold all of the food we got. By the end of the shoot, it was like they were old friends. What impressed me most is how Brook managed to pull my son's true personality into every shot. His photos weren't just "senior pictures"--they were him. Every image felt personal, authentic, and fully customized to showcase who he is.
