The staff was very preoccupied and loaded up all the books in one bag that was so heavy I thought it was going to tear through. This store is excellent with great products and polite knowledgeable staff. 1 star off because the item I was looking for is not displayed requiring you to overtly ask for it, but no posted notice that they 1: have the product or that 2: if you use its common name they can't sell it to you. They told me they have to deny people regularly. Pretty sure they could get creative and find a way to inform their customers of both their stock and lexicon restrictions. Might require the owners and managers to get creative. Bottom line this shop was surprisingly good and if I lived here I would go back now knowing the rules (even though my night tonight will be significantly less fun because South Dakota Bible thumping dill weeds want to pretend people are still cleaning VHS film).

You never know what to expect when you walk in the door of a record shop in a smaller town, but my apprehensions were quickly debunked as I walked in to a welcoming environment. Everything was neatly arranged by genre and there was plenty of used inventory. With such a small amount of time to shop I made a beeline for the new arrivals and then the jazz section. I found three titles at reasonable prices and the owner (?) of the shop seemed genuinely okay with me being in the store five minutes past closing time. I didn't get a chance to explore the place as well as I wanted to, but I can tell you that there's a good hour of record shopping here even for the most seasoned of collectors and the location is part of a beautiful downtown area. Worth the visit.
