Completing the Sequoia Aerial Adventure was like hitting refresh on life, especially during the pandemic. It was a great escape, and I'm so glad we checked out this hidden gem. While I can't say it is something we absolutely will do again (80 feet felt much higher up than I anticipated), it was a very enjoyable experience worth the money. Originally I opted for the Sequoia Aerial Adventure to avoid ziplining, but we ended up completing 2 ziplines to navigate from the different levels of obstacles (I am pretty sure these ziplines were not nearly as high as the ones you would do if you opted for the pure ziplining activity, though). Neither of us had ziplined before, but we really appreciated how kind, patient and understanding our guides made us feel. I was especially nervous, as evidenced by my Garmin recording a 142 bpm heart rate right before ziplining. Thankfully, the mechanism of the clips does not allow you to unclip both clips from the main wires. This is a very nice feature to make sure you do not fall. The course has various levels of obstacles, and some are especially suited for team-building or trust-building. At one point, my fiancé and I held hands to go across a moving swing. This will be a great memory for the years ahead. To contextualize my review, it may help to know: I am afraid of skiing because of heights, my fiancé has been skiing Black Diamonds since his childhood, my fiancé has rock climbed in "the wild", we are both runners and have fairly good balance, I am intermediate in yoga/flexibility. This course still presented plenty of challenges to us. Also, before you go, you can put your phone or wallet in a little tray that the staff keeps safe. Finally, you be sure to bring a jacket or wear pants with very secure pockets. A lot of people brought their phones on the course with them, but I would not have felt safe doing so if I didn't have very secure pockets. read more

The ropes course sounded like it'd be fun, but it was too rushed to be able to enjoy it. The guides kept telling us we only had 5 or 10 min left for each section so there was not much time to explore the area. They should extend the time to 2 hours. read more

If you have no fear of heights, try out the aerial adventure / zip lining. I never quite got over the fear, but I'm glad to say I did it. "Fun" isn't quite the right word for me, personally, but it was definitely something to check off the bucket list! You basically get trained at the start and learn how to use everything. Then, it's a giant forest jungle gym for your entertainment! There are some easier challenges and some super difficult/scary challenges. You're always latched onto a cable wire, so you can't fall, but that isn't too comforting. You can bring your phones and take your own photos at your own risk. They have motion photography up in the trees, but charge you extra to buy. Be sure to stretch beforehand or you may pull a muscle! read more

I've been coming to Mt. Hermon for years starting back in my childhood with Mother's Day brunches and walks on the trails nearby. Mt. Hermon Adventures takes it up a notch and delivers a thrilling experience that is worth the trip. We came in June to the Sequoia aerial adventure and boy, oh boy, was it fun! I'm wasn't too nervous since I trust the harnesses and heights don't bother me much but my wife and kid were nervous - to the point where they almost walked off course. But, due to our awesome guides (Erica, Rachel, and Michael) they stick with it and made it through the challenge! You start by checking in at the office and watching a brief video on safety. You get geared up by your guides and they do a wonderful job of making sure you're comfortable. You complete a brief ground school where you learn the cable systems (a really neat magnetic system with two anchors where they won't unlock at the same time so you'll always have one anchor). They teach you the way to use them and practice sitting in your harness and zip lining before you go on course. Then, you head out on course! Our guides were super positive and chatted it up with us along the way. I felt safe every step of the course and I like that you get multiple path options on course depending on how much you want to challenge yourself. The overall experience takes 2 hours and it feels like plenty of time. You get two zip line rides (super fun!) and the option of going up to a third spot for the most challenging sections. Save some energy for that if you're up for it! All in all, if you're bored of just hiking and want a safe, positive and challenging adventure you really need to come check this out! You get to experience the redwoods in a whole new way. Highly recommended! read more

I took my BF here over the weekend and let me tell you, I was scared and nervous up to the day of. First because when I booked this, I didnt think of the weather because its MAY. But all week and up to the day of, it was pouring rain. Immediately, my fear kicked in. "what if we slipped and fall?" "is the rain safe?" Even so, we braved the rain because as the website states, rain or shine the show must continue! And I'm glad we braved it out because we had the time of our lives. I would like to add that we did the Sequoia adventures. I thought most of the course was rather "easy" and there was some course that was more challenging. I got to some I couldn't manage and skipped those but I would definitely come back once I've gone to the gym a few more times lol. The instructors were attentive to the group and individual throughout the 2 hour course and made the course more enjoyable and definitely took some nerves off. It was my first time to try zip line and it was a little scary, but so much fun. We booked the Redwood Canopy Tour. Flying through the redwood forest is just so unique and beautiful. The redwoods are fascinating and to see them from high above and fly among them is something one must experience. Where else in the world can you zip line through the redwood forest? Not anywhere else! Our tour guides were Noah and GP. They made our zip line adventure even more fun. I wish I was more relaxed. Thank you and I am hoping to come again in the near future. Our guides Grace and Sophie were fantastic. Grace was behind me and my partner pretty much every step of the way (out of a group of 9, so you can imagine it's impressive that every person got individual attention when they were doing something difficult). Conquer your fear of heights while swinging 50ft+ in the air. I've been here twice for team bonding events and both times were an awesome experience in getting to know my coworkers while spending time in the great outdoors. We did the obstacle courses + zip line in the trees, which included a mini training session and of course signed safety waivers :) For the obstacle course you work your way through a variety of different engagements, like rope swings, rope bridges, etc. until you eventually reach the end where you zip line down. The courses are all connected to each other between giant trees and you'll be navigating things a couple dozen feet in the air. I don't remember exactly how high it was, but it's probably better if you don't think about it. There is also an area that includes a drop down where your rappel down in free fall, I think this was the scariest challenge for most folks. The trees truly are something massive, which I appreciated that much more since they were the safest places to be in between obstacles. At the end of the day I learned which of my co-workers remains cool under pressure and that's all I could ask for :) read more

Been here twice and each time was an amazing experience on their own. The first time I came here, I came here for the day time zipline course. The second time, I came for the night time tour aka the Twilight tour. Both are amazing experiences on their own and I would highly recommend both. For the day time tour, it's great to see the environment and how high you are up in the trees. The tour guides like to mess around and say that you're higher than you really are. I mean 2000ft up in the air doesn't sound too ridiculous when you're on the tallest platform. All you can see is trees and trees and trees. You can hear the sound of the water flowing far, far below. The night time tour was also a wonderful experience. They normally do this during the wintertime when it gets dark earlier. The same course gets lit up with a ton of lights on. It's pretty much pitch black if you decide to look down during the zip lines. It's a pretty exhilarating experience because all you can see is the other platform on the other side. Shout out to our guide Ian and Steven who let us play some Christmas trap music during the tour. Overall, a super fun experience. I would highly recommend this! read more

We did the Sequoia Adventures (2 ziplines and obstacle course). Extremely friendly, interactive, and helpful staff! They were very supportive and ensured everyone was taken care of. A great time and 2 hours flys by with how much fun you have. The views are gorgeous. Would recommend anyone to stop by to do this. The obstacles have an easy, medium, and hard difficulty, with all hard obstacles being able to be skipped. We look forward to trying more ziplines with the other offering next time! Can I just start by saying how much fun this was!! We were a group from F45 that signed up for this super fun activity. We paid $90 per person and arrived there a lil early since we were a group of 10. There was a very detailed demo before the activity started. You want to pay attention for that. Once the demo was done they allowed us a little trial run in the demo area. Once that was done we directly Bagan on level 2. I was very scared to start on the first obstacle but once I was on it was okay. Gage who was with our group was really helpful and patient. The zip line at the end was so much fun. We did start with level 3 as well but ran out of time. Be warned level 3 is truly for the pros!! read more

Going in larger groups gets a little boring waiting for everyone to go, but if you are with friends that can keep a conversation going than it is much more fun. We booked the sequoia adventures course and though it was fun and required us to use a lot of our upper body strength, it seemed very repetitive and the concepts were very similar through the entire course. But, this was very unique and I think everyone should try this! Also the 80ft jump at the end really isn't scary and I highly suggest everyone to go for it! Gorgeous views, truly once-in-a-lifetime type of activity. Had options that fit an array of fitness levels. Honestly, this was a blast! They also did a good job training people how to use the equipment, and were kind and helpful to a scared 10-year old we had with us. As a result, he finished the course instead of quitting (which will do wonders for his confidence in the long run). Staff was personable and kind, check-in and booking was a breeze.
