Wow...the zip line experience we had today was awesome! Our guides Amanda and Andy were great and let's add very funny too! We felt very safe with their knowledge and experience. Started our adventure with a 9:30 reservation. A quick video and harness information and we were ready to go. To our surprise we were the only ones on this reservation so we were very lucky and it made our experience that much more special. The view from the redwoods was pretty incredible and we couldn't ask for a better day. All the zip lines were fun and the bridge took me back to Indiana Jones. Hands down, this is an adventure I would recommend. We had an amazing time! Hopefully next time we can go with a group of friends!

We had the pleasure of visiting the Mount Herman Adventures ropes course and our large group had a blast. Our group was led by 2 guides, Kian and Andy, who were personable, professional, respectful, and of course, Fun! when you check in at the lobby, there is an option to purchase gloves for $2 which are grippy and protect your fingers if you are worried about grabbing anything rough/rope or wood/trees (the gloves are basically like gardening gloves so you can pick some up before you come and just bring them with you. Since there's a small chance you could drop an item, they recommend storing wallets, keys and other small items in a lockbox that is only used by your group. I would suggest having some sort of zippered pocket if you want to have your phone with you to take photos when you're waiting at a tree stand or bridge. The safety course at the start of the adventure gets you comfortable with your equipment and how to stay safe when you're up in the trees. they were very professional in making sure everyone felt secure and knew how each piece of equipment worked. The course itself was awesome with various challenges at different levels. we all felt comfortable and challenged at the same time and were ready to get out there. The Zip line was also really awesome and you get to enjoy the wilderness being up in the trees. Overall, everyone at our group (4 adults, 4 kids) had a blast and would gladly go again. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. -----TL;DR---- PROS: very well run, focused on safety and fun, and the ropes course elements were challenging as much as you wanted it to be (you could do easier or harder ones if you wanted to). CONS: none BOTTOM LINE: we loved it--if you'd like a well run, safe, fun ropes course experience, definitely give them a try. We'd love to go back. If you have time to go to a hardware store and get some gloves with grip on them, you can save time, but the ones they had were great and not overpriced at $2.

Great Sundate spent with my husband where we explored the redwood forest via the Sequoia Aerial Adventure. There were swinging logs, bridges and zip lining involved. Low key didn't realize I was slightly afraid of heights until we were high up in the trees but nothing like conquering your fears while having a good time. There are 3 levels and it gets increasingly challenging as you advance. Although shaded, it does get warm since this is a full body workout. Our guides Meg and Andy were super chill, fun and FUNNY. They were thorough with their instructions while keeping an eye to ensure we were safe.

It was our first time ziplining and Andrew and Jordan (our guides) made it super easy and fun for our group! There were 6 ziplines in our experience and I think they were paced nicely throughout the 2-hour experience. Aside from learning about ziplining, we also learned a lot about the redwoods which was a big bonus. As first-timers, having great guides who helped eased our fears was super helpful. The experience was good for first timers I think because it wasn't too high up, nor too long for each zip line, and the speed wasn't too fast. I don't think any of the lines went over 30mph, and the longest zip line lasted maybe 18 seconds. There are 2 picture-taking points that the guides will point out to you that you can purchase after the experience. Our tour guides were also nice enough to help us take pictures with our phones (if you bring it along the experience!).

First of all, this was one of the best zip lining experiences I have ever had. This was my second time zip lining but my friend's were first timers. We were all a little nervous but Andy and Noah quickly made our nerves go away with their funny high energy. They really made the experience 100 times better. We loved hearing the knowledge and background but especially the dad jokes. Thank you guys for a welcoming and fun environment! My group had a great time on the Redwood Canopy tour with guides Noah, Jordan, and Marcus! The tour guides were super friendly and made us feel comfortable throughout the 2 hours we were with them. I highly recommend booking a tour here and look forward to coming back for the aerial course.

The best guides, Maya and Autumn! They made our first adventure an amazing one. After reading reviews, I packed for light gloves (like thin winter ones), hat, leggings with side pockets with crew socks, and fanny pack. When you arrive, you park in the lot and walk towards the most beautiful check in facility and gift shop. Dave was the kindest and most welcoming! We still had 15 minutes to finish up our coffee and light pastries packed. The bathrooms were like a 4 star ski resort - very clean and well kept and maintained. Now to the check in and safety for the aerial tour. Quick video, then headed down to the pre-course for the hands on practice. Then on the way to the course! There are 3 levels so with the two of us, it was like a private tour. Autumn and Maya have really good tips on the courses. Don't forget the 3rd level - it was actually my favorite! The gloves actually was super helpful for grabbing the ropes that were damp from the recent rain. You also get a coupon at the end for the next one, so can't wait to do the full zip lining. (Also don't forget to give the awesome guides an appreciation). Can't wait to come back next time! Other pro-tips: 1. Book morning time in December. We did it the weekend after Christmas and it was nice and peaceful (versus summer, so we are told). It was also beautiful misty foresty magic 2. The recent rain helped with the reduction of dust. 3. Turn on your ringer on your cell in case you drop it! The guides gave us that protip. 4. After the two hours of semi work out, go to Felton to Humble Sea Tavern or the grove for lunch! It's perfect timing to reward yourself.

This is an absolute must! This place is wonderful for kids(teens) and adults. Great family environment and safety training for those who might be a little worried about the heights. If you're looking to make some family memories or just having a fun date with your significant other, make reservations here. You won't regret it!

What an experience!!! I accidentally booked the adventure instead of the zip lining. It was a happy mistake to make. My kids and I had a BLAST! Nick was an amazing guide! He really helped me get over my fear, he gave me reassurance, and just made everything light and fun! I highly recommend Nick to be your guide, I couldn't have done it with out him. He really made everyone feel safe, he interacted with everyone and remembered everyone's name. My kids really enjoyed his company! When we go back, we hope to have him as our guide again. Our tour guides were fun and knowledgeable. We did the redwood canopy tour for 6 zip lines and two suspended bridges. It's 120 per person. We lucked out and were the only ones that showed up for our tour. If it's a hot day, I recommend dressing accordingly, meaning light weight breathing shorts and top. Also you're allowed to bring your cell phone but at your own risk so I recommend pants with deep or zippered pockets. They also have a challenge course that's more physically. There's bathroom and gift shop on site. Definitely recommend this activity! read more

I enjoyed it! The members were really welcoming and cared for our safety. I appreciated the amount of times they actually made sure my gears were properly adjusted. I was nervous that I would be too short since I did pass the height requirement by one inch , but again the workers helped out. The only part I was sad was when we took our photos for their professional camera our photo ended up being cut in half at the check-out so ended up not buying it.. and apparently it was the first time it ever did that. But luckily I brought my phone to take some of my own. read more

This was such a fun experience if you want to overcome your fear of heights and just try something new. First off this whole area is beautiful and so green, I felt like I was at a hidden resort. Our instructors were great (I forgot their names, I'm sorry). I guess the only thing is I did expect the zipline to be a bit higher, longer and faster, but it was still a great experience. I'd really recommend to everyone to push yourself past your comfort zone and get through the more difficult courses/levels if you want to make the most out of your experience. read more

What an awesome offsite location. Everything was smooth from beginning to end. I booked the ropes and zip lining course for approximately 40 people. Communication with the staff was pleasant and making reservations was easy. When we arrived, we checked in and broke up into teams for our 4 time slots. There was a nice picnic area for our byo catered lunch. The general team building activity for all was fun and got us warmed up. Then they called us by time slots to start the ropes course. For teams that waited around, we played giant shuffleboard, bocce ball, table tennis, horse shoes, corn hole, etc. once we were called, we went through safety, geared up and started climbing. If you have a fear of heights, you may end up overcoming it like one of our team members. You choose whichever path/difficulty level you are comfortable with. My team was pushing up to the team in front of us so we didn't get to visit level 3, which I hear is very difficult... so we ended up zip lining another round. This event was worth every penny! All our team members enjoyed the day away from the office at this beautiful venue. read more

This review is long overdue simply because we went back in April and it's now almost end of September - Oops lol Anyways. I was looking for something fun and different to do for my boyfriends birthday, considering he's super active and loves the outdoors I wanted to cater to what he loves most. Did a bunch of research and found this little gem. Which actually isn't so little, these redwood trees were absolutely massive and it was the most breathtaking sight to see. The fresh air was like no other, I was truly in awe with how gorgeous Herman Mountain Adventures is! Coming to places like this really makes you appreciate California more. I live/work in very congested over populated treeless cities and it's nice to get away from my day to day life and take in the beauty of what California does have to offer. ZIP-LINING EXPERIENCE: We had 2 tour guides and they were educating us on the redwood tree history. They were also witty, funny and accept tips. We had a group of 8, a family of 5, one solo person, my boyfriend and myself. Everyone was nice and excited to get our ziplining on! The ziplining Adventure it self wasn't hard, I'm terrified of heights and thought I would ruin my pants doing this BUT it wasn't scary at all. We were high up, but it didn't feel to high. I LOVED ziplining and can't wait to do it again! As we ziplined there were a few photo op spots that you can purchase print and/or emailed (2 different prices for both). You can rent a go pro on your helmet as well. We did that and bought photos. Mount Herman has some sort of in the air jungle gym or something. I can't wait to do that with a group of my friends! read more

Fun adventure indeed! A group of five of us came for the zip lining tour this past weekend and we had a blast! While the windy roads to get to Mount Hermon aren't as fun, once you get there you're in for such a great experience. After checking in and getting weighed, you watch a short video and get prepped with your helmet and harness. The whole tour was around 2 hours, including the mini practice zip line that they show you at the beginning. After the practice round, you're ready to go! The entire course had 2 suspension bridges and 6 zip lines (some fast, some long, some slow, and some where you get to high five the branches of the redwoods!) I personally am scared of heights, but after for the first zip line, much of the fear will go away and the adrenaline will kick in. You're more than welcome to bring a phone to take videos and pictures throughout the tour, but definitely at your own risk. There are 2 stops towards the end where you can get the professional pictures done and you can buy them at the gift shop for around $10/ea. The 2hr redwoods experience was $100/person, but they also have a sequoia challenge course that's a bit cheaper I hear. Overall, this was a fun experience and would definitely be a great team building place to go to. read more

Totally awesome experience. We did the zip lines and the canopy tour. Shoit out to Gage and Lily who were really nice and friendly. Made it look too easy. They were helpful and cracked the funniest jokes. All the tree trivia was cool as well. For the canopy tour, the guide from Tennesee, i forgot his name. Josh? He was very friendly and helpful. Patient and knowledgeable. Overall loved the experience. Will definitely be back. read more

I booked the Redwood Canopy Tour for my sister and I and it was a lot of fun. I was terrified and I still can't believe I did it. If you're deathly afraid of heights this probably wouldn't be fun for you. There was a woman in our group who was and she was miserable and bear hugging the tree at each platform. One nice thing about this tour is they brake for you, so you don't have to brake coming into the platform. I reserved and paid for our spots online. There's only 8 to a group which is nice. There is plenty of parking and it's easy to find. I wouldn't recommend bringing anything with you but I would bring a camera. The guy on our trip rented the go pro but it was in picture mode the whole time so he didn't get anything recorded. And the pictures the company sets up to take on the bridge didn't come out. Luckily, my sister brought her camera and we got some sweet pictures. Don't bring your sunglasses, it's not that sunny, the trees block everything. I would recommend chapstick though and wearing layers. I wore jeans and a zip up and I was hot. They do have water jugs hanging from the trees so if you're cool with water falling water then that's your only option as far as water. Our tour guides were Amanda and April, they were really funny and super helpful. I felt safe with both of them and they both knew what they were doing. I'm excited to take my husband here and see him scared! LOL read more

Noah and Rafa were great! We did the zip line and it was a lot of fun. They kept us safe, entertained, and informed about the trees and other redwoods facts. Great Team Building Event! I took my team of 12 HR professionals here for a team building day. It was fantastic. The morning started with about 45 minutes of trust exercises as well as a very fun game that demonstrated how people like to receive direction. It was fantastic for a work group, and the person that ran the activities was absolutely great - very personable, funny and intelligent. Next, we had a picnic lunch (that we brought) in a very pretty park like setting. Once we finished the food, we headed over to the course, where we were taught how to use the equipment and then we were set free on the course. It was so much fun, slightly scary and what I loved about it was watching how supportive people were of each other when they got scared or were challenged. I would highly recommend this to anyone that has a need for a fun and valuable team experience. read more

I loved mount hermon ! It was such great experience, its all thrills and scares but you get over all your fears of heights and step out of your comfort zone like you never thought possible! Came here to celebrate my best friends birthday, and we all had a blast! To complete the entire course they estimate that it will take approximately 2 hours from start to finish. I believe it took less than that, but if you include the instructional period and the safety training, then yes it will take a total of 2 hours from your booking time. BOOKING: Easy bookings, can be done ahead of time online or via phone. I believe our booking required full payment before the date, and there are no refunds for cancelations. One plus is that you can have all of the participants in the party sign the waiver digitally before arriving. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Our tour guides, Logan and Steve, were exceptionally friendly. They walked us through every obstacle and even gave recommendations to those who wanted the most thrilling elements. We had a group of 9 people so you could imagine the amount of patience they had to put up with all of our giggling and joking during the instructional periods. SUMMARY: If this place has been on your bucket list, I highly recommend it. They have clean and safe equipment of you to use, so you can feel safe while having a good time. Book ahead of time so you can check in and get straight to enjoying the ropes course! read more

Adventure: Zip-lining through the Redwoods I did the Redwood Canopy tour and the whole thing took about 2 hours. The tour includes six zip lines and two sky bridges at heights of up to 150 feet in a group of 8. Our group had the pleasure of being guided by Drew and Warren. They were awesome and kept us entertained the entire 2 hours. The experience of being up in the trees and looking down while surrounded by nature is amazing. The feeling of rushing past the trees with the wind in your face is freeing. I started off the day super nervous since I'm not a fan of heights but I felt very safe and secure the entire time. I actually think I enjoyed the heights. Aside from Zip-Lining, they also offer other adventures. The staff is super friendly and amazing. I highly recommend checking Mount Hermon if you're looking for a new adventure in the Bay Area :) read more

Molly and melissa we're our guides. They were amazing. This pace is super cool. They got activities for all ages. We did the redwood canopy tour and it was amaZing experience. We did 6 lines and one bridge. They have wall/rock climbing and obstacle course. Cool store but not much as far as real food beverages. Arrive 20min before start time. And know that it is a good drive from the City esp with traffic. m&M best guides. read more

Me and my husband went today, and we had SO MUCH FUN!!! It was truly a unique experience for us! I got a little nervous at the beginning because I'm afraid of heights, but 5 minutes later I adjusted and was having a great time! For me, being surrounded by trees and nature had a really calming effect, and being so high up wasn't even such a big deal (as long as I didn't look down haha). Some of the elements are easy, and some are pretty challenging which we loved! We had such a good time, and hope to back with a group of friends! read more

This was the BEST! I took my daughter, 3 of her friends and another mom to celebrate her 11th birthday. Fun was had by all! I was worried about one of the girls because she was so nervous. The guilds, Emma and Daniel, did a great job working with her and easing her fears. At the end, she was ready to go again. Not only was the zipline course SUPER fun and exciting the guilds were friendly, informative and HILARIOUS! Unfortunately, we had to wear our masks the entire time which I didn't understand at first, but then you realize you're standing very close to one another on the platforms. Sucks, but these are the times we live in. Thankfully, we were having so much fun there wasn't time to dwell on it. The gift shop guy whose name I didn't get was also super friendly and happy to help. We'll be back to try the other course this summer!! read more

Superb experience. The adventure package was both mentally and physically challenging, but very rewarding too. Kurt was our guide and he helped everyone had a pleasant experience. He also gave us some cool information about the surrounding trees and leaves. He was a fantastic guide. I highly recommend checking out this place. The only suggestion I have for the management is to lower the price on the photos. I am sure they can sell a lot more if they lower the cost of a picture (specially if they are just emailing you the photo). read more

TL;DR : Much Amaze ! I have a mild fear of heights and this certainly helped with pushing through some of it. Zipline view was amazing ! Bonus : Lean from the platform ! They take pictures during the zipline and can be bought at the end. Came here for our anniversary, and it was our first time zip lining! It was sooo much fun! The 2 hours went by pretty fast and our guides were very entertaining. The first zip lining was the hardest for me, and it got easier after that. I had a really hard time steering straight and FINALLY figured out how to stay straight on our second to the last zip lines -__- I seriously want to go back like next weekend! Lol but this isn't cheap, so it'll have to wait until another special date or when we go on a trip somewhere. It's definitely a must try! So much fun and very pretty! read more

Took my boyfriend here as part of his birthday gift. Booking reservations online is easy peasy and you can sign the waiver online to save yourself some time. For some reason, I was expecting to do a rope course & zip line... but I am so glad I booked the Redwood Canopy Tours and ended up with only ziplining. My fear of heights would've escalated to 1091389837492374 if we ended up on the rope course. But then again... why am I ziplining if I'm afraid of heights? In the beginning, you meet in a tent and put on your gear. The staff assists you with the whole process. You take a little hike up and get a little demonstration on how to hold the zip line. You practice on a baby zip line that's barely off the ground. You don't really have to do much besides hold on and have fun. Let the guides do everything! I've ziplined only twice in my life, but definitely not at this elevation. The worst part for me was probably the suspension bridges. Even though I was pretty secure, knowing that I had full control of my body and every movement I made freaked me out. One misstep and I could fall through the holes of the bridge (of course I'd think of the worst possible scenarios though lol). And the thought of being suspended on a bridge at such a high elevation made my legs feel weak. The ziplining part was easy - you just jump off and worry about nothing else but getting to the end! However, on the longest zip, there was a bit of wind coming our way and I didn't have enough momentum to make it to the point where they could reel me in. This is what I was afraid of, omg. I was ten feet away from the landing point. The guides don't come and save you *cries*, but they do instruct you on what to do. You have to grab on the rope and pull yourself to the end, alternating arms with every pull. Ten feet was a long way... or at least it felt like it was. Nbd, I was just stuck mid-air at like 50-100ft.. rip. Of course it would happen to me. Other than that terrifying experience, our guides were very knowledgeable and fun! We had such a fun group with us as well. I liked that they gave us gloves for protection. If I didn't have gloves, I don't think I could have pulled myself to the end when I got stuck! On one of the redwood tree decks we were resting at, we were dared to lean over the edge with our feet and sit in mid-air! I was too scared to do it, but my boyfriend was brave enough to do it! What a dare devil. I loved this experience for the thrill, the good company, and the scenic zip line through the redwoods! Would recommend for anyone to try. read more

I have been there twice: First one is the regular one, you will be walking across multiple trees and 5 meters tall. It is very challenging and unique experience. Second one is purely zipline for 2 hours. I recommended the first option, more fun and more challenge, very suitable for team event. read more

I had fun zipping through the trees. Ok scenery. There's really nothing special about redwood tree .. this is coming from someone from around here so don't take my opinion too seriously. Visit and enjoy, but as someone from around here, it didnt really have anything that special. The guides are what make this an enjoyable and amazing experience. The information and the way that the guides handle themself are top notch. Had really funny story and jokes through the whole tour. Really made it worth it. read more

When you can hangout with co-workers on the weekends...you know you're friends 5ever now!! haha our friend decided we should all go ziplining, did some research and here we are! Sunday morning, luckily it wasn't raining, but super chilly, we chose the 10AM time slot. We were right on time, they checked us in and off we went to put on the gear. our guides were Vernon and Jimmy. You'll have the best of times, if your guides are good. Our guides were GREAT! We had a lot of first timers on this trip and they made everyone super comfy, lots of laughs and fun. I've been ziplining before in Hawaii but definitely different views. Less walking too. Literally you walk to the first one and then you zipline to each spot like Tarzan! Super fun and sad that it's over. So cool that this is only an hour or so away from SF, I'd totally be back again with more friends! read more

My boyfriend took me here to celebrate my 25th birthday cause he wanted me to conquer my fear of heights, yet AGAIN, for the 5th time lol. We did the Sequoia Aerial Adventure and we had a blast. It was challenging but fun at the same time. I was so scared and pissed at him in the beginning though that I nearly cried. No kidding. Luckily, our guides, Jordan and Michael, were very helpful. They saved my relationship (LOL) and helped me calm my nerves by giving me tips on how to tackle each obstacle safely. They were exceptional and encouraging, especially Jordan. He was so encouraging that I lost my mind and decided to take the plunge at the very end. The adventure took 2 hours but it felt so much faster. It must've been my adrenaline pumping. Also, the scenery was beautiful and calming. Being surrounding by redwood trees provided such a great atmosphere. This experience truly was awesome and I'd be more than happy to do it again. And maybe next time, I'll go on the harder courses. Highly recommended! read more

The walks should be ok as long as you're not afraid of heights. The part with crossing the wooden rope bridge during the zipline tour may be a bit challenging but it's certainly doable. I'd call and check with the front desk for confirmation.

It wasn't very far, maybe 50 yards. I do remember the staff saying they accommodate disabilities, but that you need to contact them prior to you trip. I would call for more info.

In particular, one guy who came in THE DAY AFTER CAMP STARTED and chose one of FOUR bunk beds available, which just so happened to be the one right under my son's! He started berating my son about how messy he is, and it got to the point where the cabin's counselor had to intervene, and not only that, he discovered my son's encopresis, which he hasn't directly mentioned to any student at this point. They decided that it was emotionally too much for my son, and that I would pick him up halfway through the camp. Not to mention, all students were required to take choir ALONGSIDE the instrument they played, which for my son, who is very shy about his voice, was WAAAAY too much. The choir director was also the lead counselor, the WORST person in the entire camp! She never even mentioned this, but apparently, you are supposed to arrive 10 minutes early to every meal, which his cabin failed to do because she never even mentioned it! As a result, his cabin would arrive 15 minutes before each meal, and he did not do anything wrong! Unacceptable. We won't be coming back. Just a side note, this review is for a program (La Honda Music Camp) that was hosted at this location, not the site itself. This is because apparently, it's so little known that there is nothing on Yelp about it.

Have you ever done the, "make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich" dance? If you haven't, you…read moreshould. You grab the ingredients, you spread on the toppings with both arms, and you dance it all around. That is how we got warmed up to race. Parking, at 7:15 was fast and right across the street: $10 Packet pick-up: Easy cheesy. Porto potties: At least they had them, right? Bag check: Free! They have a security guard watching over them. Obstacles: An adult playground. There was a back-up at the first obstacle, as they wanted people to get into groups of 8. That wasn't working, so it was more like awkward waves. A large bouncy pad with about 6 semi-tall barriers you launch yourself over. It was surprisingly challenging. There were: Two elevated slip & slides into shallow pools of water. One was supposed to have foam but it wasn't pumping correctly. A huge swirling cross pad, you had to run with it or against it along a narrow platform. Inflated balls that you had to balance and jump across. I made it onto the first one and couldn't stand up to launch to the next, so I flung off the side and laughed as I bounced to the ground. An inner tube water slide into a pool of water. A leap of faith onto an inflated bulls eye. Two huge rotating balls that chased you, as you tried to run across a slippery plank. I almost made it but lost my footing on the last step, splooosh! Two large stair/rope climbs to slides. The last one will give you a wedge. We only waited a couple of minutes to take an optional finisher photo and they handed us our medals. I love the photo opportunities, you scan your bracelet before you get onto the obstacle and they snap a picture of you. Bouncy, bouncy,..fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.

That's some lass ass bs excuse of an obstacle. Previous years this has been my favorite. - No foam on the ''Foam of Fury'', just water. Seriously?! - Not enough water on the ''Cool'' Running's''. Out of the 40 or so people that I saw tried to go down it they all had to get off and walk to the the end (where you are supposed to land in the pool) because friction had them stop. Myself included. Lame. - VIP entry I got my tech shirt upgrade but Hubs didn't. + You actually got a medal this year. + Vendors after the event handing out drinks. Neutral: You had a tag on your wristband which you swipe at obstacles to indicate you wanted your picture taken. I'm neutral on this because for the price of the registration fee I feel this should be included. My advice for the event organizers - Have the obstacles as advertised and either 1. reduce the price of registration (upwards of $65 plus fee's for a 5k is obscene) 2. Add more obstacles.

Really cool experience! How often do you get to ride a steam-powered train through a redwood…read moreforest? Our conductor Colin was humorous, informative, and gave us plenty to knowledge bits and time to enjoy the redwoods. The train has two types of train cars: covered and uncovered. I would definitely recommend opting for the uncovered parking to fully enjoy the majestic redwoods! We went during Easter weekend, so the tickets were slightly more than usual, and there were lots of kids on the train with their Easter baskets. We didn't realize the Easter egg hunt was only for kids, so we were disappointed in that we didn't get to participate; although, now that I think about it, I guess they can't have a bunch of people running through the woods looking for Easter eggs...a disaster waiting to happen (LOL). Definitely recommend booking tickets ahead of time. Parking is $10. We got to the campgrounds early so watched a blacksmith demonstrating his craft, played some games, and walked the Nature Walk Loop at Henry Cowell Regional Park, which was literally right across the railroad tracks. They also had some shops, kid activities, and a musician. Food nothing to write home about, but it's available if needed. If you're making a trip to Santa Cruz, it's worth stopping by!

Wish the zip lines were longer, and higher up from the ground. I was expecting much more thrills and screams after reading all the reviews, but was some what dissapointed with the actual experiences. My husband had a really great time and enjoyed it a lot though. He has a terrible fear of height, was scared at first and had to stay really close to the center of the platforms. But after a couple of lines, he was over with the fear and was doing all sorts of things on the line. we started off with a quick course on the ground, and then walked through a short bridge to start the tour. The first zip line is quite short, second highest (if I remember correctly) from the ground. I was a little nervous at this one, but after going through it, I was all loosen up. The second one is the highest, and longer: no one screamed in our group, but I heard some guy from another group screamed really loud on this one...... For the rest of the zip lines, the guide taught us how to do "cannon balls" for going faster, and how to walk off the platform to start the run, and other sorts of intertersting things to try out. Pictures taken by them is 10$ first one, and 5$ each after. There are two spots where pictures are taken, one on the second bridge, and one at the last zip line. Checked off my bucket list---it was an OK experience. but if you are looking for a real adrenaline rush, go for another one though. read more

Our day at Mount Hermon Adventures was an absolute thrill from start to finish! The sun was shining brightly as we embarked on our zipline adventure, and we were fortunate that the towering redwoods provided the perfect shade for usfrom the sun and creating an ideal, temperate climate for our adventure We were amazed by the stunning views and heart-pounding excitement of soaring through the treetops at heights of about 150 feet. With ziplines designed for beginners, intermediates, and advanced thrill-seekers. However, it's worth noting that the staff at Mount Hermon Adventures do limit participants to about 2 to 2.5 hours to complete the course. While this may seem restrictive at first, we found it to be the perfect amount of time to fully experience the adventure without feeling rushed. Throughout our journey, we discovered a couple of prime spots for snapping selfies and capturing videos of our exhilarating zipline experience. Although the price for the selfie and video options was a bit steep, we opted to use our own phones and GoPro. Be careful when bringing your phone though. Overall, our time at Mount Hermon Adventures was amazing. read more

We were extremely disappointed with our recent experience at Mt. Hermon Adventures. Despite arriving just 15 minutes past the recommended arrival time, we were denied entry to our scheduled tour. While we understand the importance of punctuality and the company's policy of arriving 20 minutes prior, there had been a miscommunication with the event coordinator regarding the meeting time. We explained the situation and even provided evidence of the communication mishap, but the staff remained inflexible and refused to accommodate us. This lack of understanding and customer service was unacceptable, especially considering we had traveled a significant distance and were eagerly looking forward to the experience. While the adventure park itself may offer enjoyable activities, the rigid adherence to policy and the lack of empathy towards customers left a negative impression. We would caution future visitors to be extra vigilant about arrival times and to confirm all details directly with the company to avoid a similar situation. read more

Very fun experience! Really wasn't physically taxing - and so easy for people of all ages and strength. I felt perfectly safe the whole time -- all strapped in 100% of the time. Great instructions. The redwoods are beautiful to look at while on the zipline -- remember to look around, breathe, and really take in the beauty of the place! While also having the thrill of the ride :) Very professional operation -- good people, easy reservation, good service, good equipment. I highly recommend this as a must do activity when visiting Santa Cruz -- and I've lived in the area for 18 years. This is a great addition to experiencing the beauty of our area. read more

I took a group of high-schoolers up to the zip line tour as a summer activity planned by our city. Our guides were Molly and Melissa, they were awesome together and kept my group smiling the whole time. On the ride home from Mt Madonna I heard the kids repeating some of the facts Molly had said about the redwood forest, and even laughing about how Melissa shocked them with her knowledge of the Spanish language. Would do this again with close friends and have already been asked where your facilities are located by social media friends who viewed pictures and videos of our little adventure. I highly recommend this experience. The staff was very professional. Linda, Ben and Daniel made me feel very safe. The procedure they use to change from zip line to line was consistent and instilled confidence that our group was safe. Despite the continous rain, the experience was beautiful. I grew up camping in the Redwoods and loved the experience of being up in the trees. It was high enough to get a good feel for the trees and enhance the zip line experience. We did this event for my son's 25th birthday. I will encourage anyone to take go to Mount Hermon Redwood Canopy Tour. read more

This was an awesome way to celebrate a birthday with family and friends! We had fun zipping through the trees and the views were amazing. Our tour guides, James and Michael, gave great training and added a lot of interesting facts about redwood trees. They both had a great sense of humor and made all of us feel comfortable, especially those of us feeling a little more out of our comfort zones stepping off those platforms! The zip-line is pretty fun, it's a beautiful setting, and the guides were great. HOWEVER, the actual time spent zip-lining on the two-hour tour is about 90 seconds. The $90 price tag seems a little excessive. Also, there are several signs indicating that tipping is not expected. If it wasn't expected, they would not post signs. Mt. Hermon undoubtedly makes a lot of money from this, so they should pay their employees a proper wage and not imply that we should tip the guides. read more

6 zips and a sky bridge in between the 5th and 6th zips. The redwoods are amazing and the scenery is beautiful. Guides are very knowledgeable on what they talk about and very enjoyable to be around. Compared to the other tour guides though, Mitchell was the best. His dry wit and personality is a great icebreaker between groups to make the tour that much more enjoyable. If you get lucky and have Mitchell as your guide. You're gonna have a good time. read more

Worth it! My friends and I did the ropes course and had the option to choose easy or challenging routes to the zipline. Two hours wasn't enough if you're behind slower people in your group. Our friendly tour guides worked hard to keep us on track, but we only had 10 minutes left at level 3. Parking is limited, but we found a spot nearby. The building looks like a rec center with other activities, including laser tag. read more

Had an amazing time zip lining with Mount Herman Adventures! The guides were friendly, fun, and made the experience even better. The two hours flew by, safety was clearly a top priority, and the views up in the trees were absolutely breathtaking. I went on my birthday and made the reservations that day. I had been ziplining before and absolutely LOVED the experience. The leads were fantastic especially Sierra!
