Some are outside, others in a covered area and even more in an enclosed area with air conditioning. My favorites were Sunshine Printing, Kingston Kitchen and The Smoker. The people there were friendly. Sunshine Printing specializes in 3D printing. Kingston Kitchen's Lavender Infused Lemonade and Sorrel were delicious. The Smoker sells smoked meats and sides. There I purchased turkey wings. My son had one and he devoured it. I plan on returning and visiting the above mentioned vendors and perhaps making some other purchases at new favorites.

As we drove into the area, we could see the tents and lights and it was obvious from the getgo that this was going to be a serious market. There was plenty of space to park, and all close to the market. We arrived about 10 minutes after it opened and it was already busy with customers. There were a lot of vendors, from face painting to candied almonds to all the different salsas, barbecue sauces, and jewelry; there were a few food vendors, I thought there would be more, but hey, it's the first one. They Apopka Police Department had a demonstration of their K9 unit which was awesome! My favorite thing, though, was the fact that they had produce- which is the whole point of a farmers market in the first place! So many fruits and vegetables, and really good prices, cheaper than any of the local grocery stores. Plus, they had a fresh seafood dealer, and talk about fresh- I just wish you could eat it there- but I purchased some Stone Crab Claws and took them home and they were delicious! For the first one, I was very impressed, and I am sure it will even get better from here. I highly suggest you check it out, every Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30!

So, when we were on our way south back home, we decided to top in. I was surprised to get a great parking spot close, but we were advised its busier/tougher to get a spot later in the day by others. Us early risers win sometimes. We walked into the 1st of a few different avenues of the market. I noted right way that the mix was eclectic, and I liked it. From Thai food(which we got some, and noted there was a second booth from another group too); to a booth of an amazing assortment of fudges(yes I got a couple, I made the mistake of sampling). there were also lots of other food, bakery and sweets booths. Unfortunately we didn't see anything that we just had to have but it was an interesting visit. This place is definitely on my list to come back and spend the day. I want to browse the whole market and the flea market across the way too.

Although I don't purchase if they don't haggle a bit. I understand they are trying to make money but the haggling is part of the experience. Also, just take their 10% off make them call the sellers and see I purchased two lamps that they wanted $495 for two I got for 200 when they said that they would never accept anything less than the 10% / 20% discount. Again I do enjoy the walkabout that antique smell is definitely there and most of the people are very friendly and interesting to talk to.

Restrooms close by and lots of different food options. This last time we came the rain was coming so they were packing up real fast. We got there around 12, and they close at 1 but closed a little bit earlier so I just quick walked through. It is def worth checking out on a Saturday morning. Views of some great local vendors and dogs make make me happy.

Visited the Winter Garden Farmers Market this past weekend, and I have to say that this is probably…read morethe best farmers market in the Central FL area. Parking was easy, free, and conveniently located to all the festivities which is a huge plus. This is also one of the few local markets where I've actually seen a large selection of fresh produce and and farm goods available. It was refreshing to see so many people bring their market bags on wheels, wagons, etc. ready to purchase fresh fruits & veggies and support our local farmers. Beautiful watermelons, tomatoes, papaya, lettuces, corn, peppers, zucchini, and more. There's a good mix of vendors ranging from jewelry and handcrafted goods to food trucks and specialty food items. We got mango coladas, mango flower with tajin, breakfast tacos, and of course, kettle corn. Huge plus that there is the downtown splash pad for all the kids to play right in the middle of all the action. It was a HOT one and this was a great way for my little guy to cool off and burn some energy while we sat and enjoyed our food. If you have kids, I highly suggest they wear their swimsuits and bring some towels to dry off.
