This place is huge so, plan to be there a few hours!! I love that there are different vendors and the ease of shopping for something and only one check out! Everything is priced so no guessing! There are some new items, vintage, comic enthusiast vendors and more!! The people at check out are polite and organized! I picked up a flat iron and tested it but the tag grayed out and they were able to find it in their inventory! I gotta go back soon! read more

We spotted this place on our way to Eustis from Mount Dora and decided we had to stop. The store is HUGE and houses multiple individual sellers, selling everything vintage, used, collectable, and new. You could easily spend an hour here looking through all the different items, so bring your walking shoes. I didn't find any items I was looking for; however, I did meet one of the sellers who informed me where I could find those items at another location. The biggest downfall with Thrift Marts is if you're looking for a specific item it most likely will not all be in one location, such as: books, furniture, comic books, and records, will be spread out in different places throughout the store. The other thing I noticed is that some items are just way overpriced for example a used no name brand guitar was selling for $150. This guitar had one string on it and almost all the frets were missing what's up with that? Also, many new items that were selling such as ratcheting straps to tie down a load for transport, or braided 3/8" hose connections for underneath your sink are at least $3 to $4 above retail price of Lowe's or home Depot, too expensive!! I would return again in the future, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here because it's about a 40 minute drive. Otherwise it's a cool place and it's definitely worth the stop. read more

Very cool stuff! Alittle something for everyone! Very quiet, clean, and everything is neatly displayed. From comics, Star Wars, and TMNT figures to antique furniture and decorative glass there was so much to explore and choose from. The prices were not too bad at all, we compared to online and everything was right below those prices. Definitely worth checking out!! read more

Came in with boyfriend to view the store and was unaware they were closing early due to no WiFi (we were coming in to escape the rain and to see the store so many had recommended to us). Within seconds of seeing me and my boyfriend, she immediately told us, in what sounded like an impolite tone, that they closed in a few minutes and didn't specify further than that. We walked around for a few minutes but, by the way we were greeted it made walking into the store slightly uncomfortable. Not long after walking around, a small group of people came into the store and were greeted in a much more cheerful and welcoming manner, specifying to them that they closed in 20 minutes and to take a quick shop before they closed at 4 (which we were not told at all). It threw us off a bit and made us feel very unwelcome in a store that had been so highly regarded by many we know. We decided to leave, minding what she had told us, and not confront her as it was not worth making such a big deal over. I write this review not to be an asshole, mind my French, but to just share my experience and hope that what I went through was just because of circumstance and not because of outright disrespect due being an ethnic minority (I have had several experiences with racial discrimination and have slight trauma from them). I write this review as a share my experience as it was disheartening. I leave little stars due to this but not one-star as they are a local business and have many good products, of which I hope all is sold and helps them grow. There product does however seem of high quality and excellent care, however, and do recommend to others but we will not be going back due to that experience (which they possibly don't even care about us returning). read more

The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. Help is provided by friendly staff when needed. The items are all in very good condition and the prices seemed reasonable. The restrooms are large and clean. This is a place where you need to spend time in order to see and enjoy everything. read more

RANT: Treasure Mart in Mount Dora A vendor admitted to not throughly inspecting an item that was covered in cockroach feces. They brought it in to the store to sell, an assistant manager promoted it in social media and I bought it sight unseen. The vendor has no morality to refund. The store doesn't care what is brought into their business to sell under their roof using their name and reputation. They're putting the buyer at fault for purchasing... trusting that a seller wouldn't bring an item that violated health and safety issues or possibly be currently infested to be sold at an established store. Treasure Mart consciously chooses to perpetuate the stigma surrounding used/vintage items. They don't care if they pull a fast one on you and you fail to notice until later the item you prepaid for based on a social media advertisement turns out to be covered in German cockroach FECES and might possibly be an actively infested item. There's a reason a vast portion of the population wants no part of vintage and antique items. Because they might encounter this exact situation at a supposedly reputable store like yours. That's why we've turned into a completely throw away and one use society with no respect for the past. Depending on China for subpar cheap items vs taking a chance on the old, the well made. You may finally walk into a store, love something, but be totally inexperienced what to look for actual damage. Water damage. Pest damage. Termite damage. Roach infestations. It's a lot to take in all at once and to do so before you walk away. So youre too nervous to give it a chance. And when you do .... you're punished. You can get an admission from a booth renter in your establishment that they didnt check an item over for sale and yet they have no repercussions and no cause for refund yet you hold the ultimate purchaser to a higher standard for 0 refunds. You think and trust that sellers would care what they bring into the store as small businesses. You think the Treasure Mart as the store owners would care what sellers bring in. Because at the end of the day it's their name on the front door, on the business license, on the health reports and on the reviews. Treasure Mart Mount Dora's ASSISTANT MANAGER posted an item to social media for sale. I liked it and called to prepay. I went to pick it up. It looked like the picture... just minor wear and tear etc. Went home to take the drawers completely out and completely clean out only to find that behind every drawer it's covered top to bottom in German Roach feces. Smeared all over the back and side walls. There's droppings all over the inside behind the drawers. Looks like someone took the time to clear out the drawers that a normal person would look at and hope a buyer wouldn't completely dismantle every drawer in store before purchasing. Disgusting. A total and complete health hazzard. I have communications from the assistant manager that the vendor was not aware of the filth and possible infestation and admitted to not checking out the item they put up for sale. I have no refund. I was never told all sales were final at the time of payment on the phone. In general, yes, i happen to know there's no refunds at vintage places but... that's bc they are vintage items because of the wear and tear and the imperfect nature of the items. Slight imperfections. NOT straight up health concerns and filth. IF I was there and saw roach feces on an item prior to payment and I brought it to your attention would you continue to have it for sale in your store or take it off the floor? Why is it okay that you baited and switched someone online into purchasing that item and put the fault on them. You feel you just got away with that? Common decency would give you a refund for german cockroach FILTH and possible infestation of an item whether you drove 5 or 45 minutes (like me) for and will be putting at the curb. You wouldn't hide behind your blanket no refund policy and use that as an excuse to bait and switch buyers. Buyers who trusted your name as a brick and mortar business not to pass off items clearly disgusting items as acceptable to sell and accept advance payments on. A vintage condition no refund policy should not allow you to get away with putting up items for sale with bugs, or termites, or roach damage or infestations, or mold or health concerns. It's a lot of money to spend on anything these days. I can offer proof it's at the curb on trash day. Don't want to put it before for someone to grab prior to have the same mess on their hands. Time to file a heath department report. These are unprincipled people. This is a dishonest business. read more
