I don't normally leave reviews at all, good or bad but i felt compelled to post this. In all fairness, they usually do good work when you can get in. That being said, the customer service is extremely lacking and there is No loyalty or help at all for customers that have purchased multiple vehicles from them and had them all serviced here over the years. I tried calling since they opened to schedule service because something unexpectedly happened with my vehicle yesterday, and we are scheduled to go out of town in a little over a week and a half and i just needed to try and get it fixed before we leave. The same thing happened last year and it took them maybe and hour to fix it, if that. Finally got to speak with a guy in service about 3:00pm because i kept calling (no one ever returned my call that i had left previous messages for). I would've dropped it off anytime and even left it the whole week and a half if they would've tried to get to it, but he told me they couldn't get me in for basically 2 weeks and didn't even offer to try to work with me or help at all. I called Parrish Tire & Automotive and they're working me in on Monday. I guess all 4 of my vehicles, 3 of which i purchased from Toyota, will be getting serviced there from now on. read more

Do not go here. Sucks that they are the definition of shady car salesman. Bought a car with a few issues during test drive. they did not fix as promised and said they never told me they would. Pretty sure I remember the car salesman telling me not to worry about the small crack in the windshield, it'll be replaced before I leave. Gave me a dead battery and empty tank of gas too, asked both to be handle, promised me they would, then made up BS as to why they wouldn't. I hate liars. That's all they are here. Salesmen and GM. 18 minutes ago NEW 0 STARS. My wife and I bought a 2018 4 runner here....had a great experience. As a repeat customer, we wanted to buy a Sequoia. We contacted Rick Coburn who we bought from in 2018. After no contact, we contacted the General Mgr Thomas. We have emailed several times. I am at a loss on why we weren't contacted. What was a great experience in 2018 has been a terrible experience in 2023. We ended up buying our Toyota in Statesville which was a great experience. I would preferred to buy local, but Mount Airy Toyota has been a real disappointment for us in 2023. read more

Update: Even a more PATHETIC response from Mt. Airy Toyota to my post. What a patronizing response from Mt. Airy Toyota, not to mention wasting 12 hours in the car, the gasoline expense and a hotel stay. The WORST customer service and most PATRONIZING response I could even image. Over the past month I have been looking at the 2021 4Runner, which I recently completed the purchase. I visited several Toyota dealers and spoke to quite a few sales people about this vehicle. I was very happy with the deal we were able to make on this SUV. It was a great value! Everyone I met at this dealership was kind and well informed about the product they were selling. It was very clean, organized, and efficient. Mrs. Dawn Grubs had exceptional knowledge of the vehicle I was interested in. Unlike the other sales people I dealt with at other Toyota Dealerships, she was interested in making sure I purchased the vehicle that fit my needs, not just one that was in stock. Overall I was impressed how the staff worked as a team to help me select and purchase my 4Runner. No one pressured me or rushed me to make a decision. No matter who I asked for help I never heard "let me find someone else to help you" or "you can ask your sales person" like at the other dealerships I visited. I checked around and other had expressed confidence in working with your dealership. I found a 4Runner that I liked and I was presented with a great deal on it. Unfortunately, within a few hours it was sold to someone else. Mrs. Grub's positive attitude shined through as she told me her team would find a better one, and they would work hard to make sure it was the best deal they could make. She answered all my questions, and we were able to order a new one in the color I wanted. It was clear to me that the staff had my best interests in mind rather than just trying to make a sale, and I appreciate that very much. read more

OMG, if you have a vehicle in service at Mount Airy Toyota, traid it for a goat , then shoot the goat! They were the most condicending, arrogant, and underwelming service I've ever seen in my 60 years! Took advantage of my wife, three service calls for squeaky brakes, three times "we can't find anything"....took our 4x4 to a great dealer, Modern Toyota in Winston/Salem, rear breaks so bad the "replace now squeak clip" had engaged, that was the sound! So what's the first thing you do after the test drive when the customer complains about squeaky breakswell it's not take the wheel off and look at the breaks, at least not at Mount Airy Toyota it isn't! read more

Sooo...I actually went back to reset my password for Yelp to re-write this review for Mount Airy Toyota. Of course, at first all is good because they are trying to make a sale. But what is lacking here is customer service AFTER the sale. First, there was some damage on the rear bumper of the car, and included in the purchase agreement was a bottle of touch-up paint that was supposed to be sent to us (we live about an hour away, and were told this would be sent). The car was purchased in September 2020--this is April 2021 and we're still waiting. Pandemic or not, it shouldn't take this long. Secondly, there was some discrepancy about the initial payment breakdown. We emailed, called, texted, sent smoke signals, flares--NO RESPONSE! Staring reaching out in October 2020. Did not get anyone to respond until April 2021. It wasn't until we said if it weren't for the fact there would be a negative reflection on our credit we would bring the car back, that we got a response. REALLY!!! Nothing says customer service like being available AFTER the sale. It's not that hard. Just give your customers the same amount of enthusiastic attention you were giving them when you wanted to make the sale. We still like the car we purchased, but we may have gone another way had we known we were going to be treated this way (also was talked into purchasing GAP insurance we didn't need and now can't get a refund for--which is not what we were told in the Finance Office). Buyer beware, and prepare to do your on follow-up. Hmmmm....makes you think and realize. There is a reason for so many negative posts about this dealership.
