They got me all fixed up with some new tires & fixed several things so that I could get back home (hours away).

This place is absolutely TOP NOTCH!!!!! I highly recommend them!! I had a tire blow out on the interstate right near here & I was hours away from home when it happened & didn't know anyone in the area. These guys were SO nice, super accommodating, very honest & trustworthy & their prices are extremely top notch!! If you are looking for an honest, trustworthy mechanic you can count on (even if u r a stranger!), you definitely should go to Pilot Mountain Rapid Lube!!! I told the guy how much I appreciated him helping me out & I told him I picked this place solely on their Yelp reviews and he said "I treat everyone how I would want someone to treat my daughter" and he treated me like gold!!! I hope if his daughter ever breaks down hours from home that a mechanic treats her as well as her dad treats other people!!! All of the guys I talked to at this place were top notch and very nice!!! I think this is the first 5* review I've ever done!!!

How much does a smog check cost?

We do not have SMOG check analysis, we do have an OBD2 code check with varying prices beginning at 19.95 and extending to 129.95 depending upon what analysis is needed.

Although I did not get any services at this shop they were honest with me about what they could and couldn't do, they did give me some recommendations of what to do and where to start and some estimates if I didn't to go with them. They also gave me a note for my employer in regards to the condition of my car! They seem like a very reputable place, if I need services in the future that they can accommodate I would definitely consider going to their shop. The workers were very pleasant, knowledgeable and didn't make me feel awkward in any way! They were very transparent and nice and that's really hard to find in a mechanic shop nowadays ESPECIALLY as a woman so I thank them for their kindness, straight-forward advice and pleasantries.

I have returned to Randall's now for nearly 15 years because I have never had a bad customer experience there. The staff is beyond knowledgeable and are so honest with you. They're a business for sure but they never try to upsell or overcharge you. I've compared their prices for years, and they have remained competitive. So everything else is gravy, and it's a lot. I trust Randall's for every single service and maintenance need for every vehicle I've owned in NC (1 sedan and 2 SUVs). And if they ever run into something they can't fix or believe you should bounce to another spot for a fix, they honestly tell you and reco great places. Randall's gets you back on the road without breaking your bank. 10/10. Can't reco enough.

Steer clear of this place. They were supposed to repair a fog light and replace a mount from cabin…read moreto frame. Instead of mounting the fog light, they cut away half of the front fender liner and glued the light -- getting glue on the face of the light. Then put a tiny plastic zip tie on the fender liner, leaving it half gone. First week I called, they said the part for the undercarriage had not come in and said they would "check on that." Second week, said the part was erroneously sent to Winston-Salem, but would be delivered to them in "a few days." Third week, said they received the wrong part and so just "welded something up." Meanwhile, they put 260 miles on the vehicle and returned it scratched and dented with a destroyed rear cargo gasket. The vehicle was immaculate when they got it. They returned it after 31 days with filthy finger prints all over the sunroof, headliner, and both front visors. They didn't even bother to take down the clear, velcro tape strips they had stuck to the windshield to affix a navigation device or radar detector. Clearly used my vehicle to transport large, heavy, dirty fenders, bumpers and quarter panels, scratched the headliner, and put gouges in the door jams, and deep scratches all over the rear cargo area. Lied to my face about having driven it, and basically did WAY more damage than repair. BEWARE.

After getting 3 different totals, being charged incorrectly the long weight and continued to be lied to I asked for my tires to be put back on the car. I was told to wait till Mon morning someone would call and try to make things right and if I still felt that way my tires would be put back on no problem. At 1150 am on Mon no one had called so I went up there, again i asked for my tires to be put back on my car, return my down payment, and something to show I DO NOT OWE THEM ANYTHING! When I came in Mon that's when everyone decided they wanted to make calls to me, again I insisted to return my original tires to my care. i cannot and will not deal with being lied to for any reason by anyone! i gave the gentleman my keys and he assumed I was completely out of the office when i saw him toss my keys/key hob on his desk (had that broken it would be a $600 replacement fee of not more since prices have increased and didn't include tax), which also pissed me off. The last person to call me said for your safety we can't put them back on, and I need you to understand I wasn't asking your permission I was told they'd be put back on no problem ( i was told tire disposal was tues and fri so i had nothing to worry about). i was told last min that my refund would have to come from Corp office in check form even though i gave them cash and that it would come to the store where id have to come pick it up go cash then go make a tire purchase elsewhere, but you're worried about my safety?? they're expensive, rude, and I would say shop around, that will be your best option. I am not giving a star because you earned or deserved it, but because the site would not allow me to skip that part or it defiantly would be ZERO!! I EXPECT TO HAVE MY MONEY BY FRI IF NOT BEFORE NO EXCEPTIONS NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!!!!

Valve replaced, system tested, 3 cans opened, would not go in. Mechanic said Big Lots cans were old design. Price quoted for $15/lb for their refrigerant, I needed 2 lbs. and done. Later that day ac blew warm. I went back, told it would be awhile, sat in hot, dirty front area and told half hour later HVAC had gone until Mon am. Went Mon, come back noon. Went back, told from smiling front attendant, "hon, I am swamped but I'll get you in, come back at 4." I hung around Pilot to save gas and returned, sat again("he's almost done") and at 4:45 was told HVAC guy had left after asking how long it would be. I asked for money back, attendant started cussing and I cussed. He threw $20 on counter, led me to door and locked it.

I took my vehicle in for an oil change yesterday. I left and got about 5 miles down a 4 lane…read morehighway when a metal plate dropped down and crumpled up underneath the car. I zip tied it to get it back to Edd's to correct. I got there and they told me it only had one bolt when I brought it in. It hadn't fallen down before then and it happened right after I left. Before leaving, they said they bolted it back. I got up under there this morning and THE SAME zip tie that I put under there was still there and a single new zip tie had been added. The plate was also not clipped back with the 4 original clips under there. I went back and he told me that my original zip tie was lying in the floor of his garage. False because the original zip tie was still secured under my vehicle. I have on video of Edd yelling at me in front of several customers. He said that I put words in his mouth and that "he" didn't say he bolted it and that "he" zip tied it under there and that "he" told me that. False. One of his employees told me they bolted it. Secondly, "he" didn't zip tie it because he was working the desk the entire time I was there. Third, I was told that it was bolted before I left a second time. Today he said that since I brought it in with one bolt, they put the original bolt back under there. False... because the original bolt was lost on the highway. He then asked me why I didn't clip it back while I was under there. I told him that was because I wanted him to see how they left it. He asked what I wanted from him. I wanted an honest, respectable mechanic. As an upstanding business, they could have told me that and/or rectified the issue. He also told me today that zip ties were the only way to secure the plate back under the vehicle. I'm not sure about anyone else but I don't want to take my vehicle to a garage that relies on zip ties as auto parts.
