You do need to register your dog online otherwise here is a $25 fine, although I am not sure how strictly enforced that is. They have several benches and a water station as well. The park was relatively clean, but most of the balls inside were either broken or deflated. I met some nice owners and dogs at this park - none of which were aggressive (referring to both the owners and the dogs). The park is open from dawn to 10 PM. Overall, this is an okay dog park. A small space and nothing really special about it, but also not much to complain about either.

I wasn't sure how she would do around so many dogs, because she was recently rescued and kind of fearful. I wasn't even sure I would take her into the park, I just wanted to expose her to dogs from a distance. She's a very sweet dog. The first thing I saw was an intact male pit bull mix. He was chasing other dogs and being dominant over them. I knew I would not expose my dog to him, so I started walking past the park. The dog came to the fence and began barking, which made my dog start barking. The owner of the dog yelled at me and said, "No dogs are allowed if they aren't socialized!" WTH? I wasn't in the park. And my dog was fine before hers started showing aggression. I will skip this park, for sure.

Most patrons are friendly and respectful of dog park etiquette. I have never encountered a reckless owner or aggressive dog. There are benches and chairs and lots of trees that provide shade from the sun. There is a concrete pad with dog bowls and kiddie pools. There is a water hose that you can use to replenish the water bowls and pools. The grass and dirt areas are maintained well. I really like this park!

The hose and small pool let's dogs cool off on hot days as well as shaded, grassy areas. I've seen nothing but respectful owners who are diligent about cleaning up their dogs waste and supervising their fur babies. On hot or dry days it can be a little dusty and if the hose and pool is full it can get a little muddy, so maybe bring a brush or towel if you don't want your seats dirty but I highly recommend it! Also it's usually best to wear shoes or pants that aren't your favorite as some dogs jump up to say hi with wet and dirty paws lol They even have a rack for you to hang your leash and things which is nice to be able to be hands free. It's a bit of a drive for us but with how exhausted he is when we go home it's so worth it!

Pros of this dog park:…read more * The parking lot has never been full full to the point where I can't park * It's very close to my home (I know this is super subjective, but it's a huge pro for me) * There is a plentiful amount of benches for seating inside the park * There are two distinct areas to the park. One is a gravely are that is super long and narrow. The other is a grassy area that is open from April - November. The grassy area ( you can barely see from the parking lot) is where a majority of the dogs hang out I've noticed. There is even a small pavilion in this grassy area that benches for seating. And this grassy area is HUGE. If you want to really throw the ball with your dog and have your dog run around a big space, this grassy area is just for you. * There are multiple bag stations and several trash cans * Everyone I've met there is SO SO nice and I've definitely made some quick friends with some awesome peeps. Cons of this dog park: *They need to take the poop trash bags out of the trashcans more regularly. The past few times i've been... the smell was quite atrocious. And when the wind blows... well... it might be the only time where I'm hoping it's not a breezy day. *There's no separate area for smaller dogs. So if you have a wee tike of a dog, just know that there will be much bigger dogs running around that could possibly knock into your little one. Definitely a super solid dog park. I haven't been to MANY dog parks in the area. But I most definitely like this one leagues better than the Cabin John Dog Park. Next one I've gotta check out is King Farm. A lot of people from the park say that is a pretty solid one in the area.
