Rhaki is one of the sweetest and best aesthetician's I have come across! I wish I lived closer!! I would be giving spa botanica 5 stars if the tanning solution company didn't misinform her about using pre lotion. Basically the solution didn't work on my skin, not her fault at all!! This was solely a product mishap. She is definitely an artist! I wish I lived closer!! Waxing my eyebrows seems to be quite a challenge for most, since I am so blonde most aesthetician's miss so many hairs...immaculate is what my brows are at the moment or let's just say "on fleek"! ;) :) I was also offered a free facial for the mishap on my airbrush tan, which is such a kind gesture. She was genuinely upset that my tan didn't work out and did everything she could to fix it. I think it was the solution and there needs to be the prelotion so it doesn't crease in places or look dirty. My palms looked dirty until I got a pumice scrub and rubbed them raw. Just my thoughts on the tanning solution company...I have never heard of one that says with their product, you don't need any lotion? I needed it. But this was in no way the artists fault. I hope she takes my advice on getting a hairdryer because brrrr it's cold in there and drying yourself off with a hairdryer after not only feels good, it helps set the tan so it doesn't smudge on your drive back. I look forward to experiencing a facial in her extremely relaxing room. I should be clear, the airbrush/spray tan was in a separate room and that one was cold...but the waxing/facial etc room was warm, cozy, soothing and extremely relaxing. :) read more

I just tried Spa Botanica recently and felt that I should write a review about my experience. Let me start by saying I almost never write reviews on Yelp, but Rakhee deserves one. As a full time student, I have a very difficult schedule. Rakhee was so incredibly nice when it came to my schedule. She made herself available and moved around her schedule to accommodate me. I was so pleased that she did this for me. I could tell that she is really nice and that I would feel comfortable. I ended up scheduling appointments for the glycolic acid peels. I have done 3 treatments with Rakhee so far because of the horrible adult-onset acne break outs I started having. I've always been scared of doing peels because I had heard that they are painful. However, Rakhee made the process so painless. She applied the peels and helped with the discomfort I felt, which only lasted about a minute. Even though I wasn't in horrible pain, the peel was still incredibly effective. Within 2 months of the peels I've had and the Rhonda Allison products I purchased from her, my breakouts are under control now!! They have made such a difference on my face. I used to not want to even go out because of my breakouts and now I feel comfortable going out without even wearing makeup! I am so grateful that Bakersfield finally has a decent Esthetician and that I don't have to drive to LA anymore!! I plan on going to Rakhee for all my skin care from now on.
