Khloe was the lady who had started the process for us and was very nice & helpful. She would always answer our calls whenever we had any questions regarding what we could and what we couldnt have at the venue. Somewhere along the way it was switched over to another person named Alo. And THIS is where everything went down hill. Everything that we had already signed and discussed prior to this switch was never forwarded to her. This lady would never answer her phone when we needed her for answers to questions that were being asked to us. So 2 weeks prior to the wedding we trying to contact her and her communication with us was non existent. Our vendors had questions and when we were trying to get answers she would never respond back. But when it came to MONEY and making sure we pay she was always calling. Our wedding day came 9/27/25 and it was a complete disaster at our reception. She was never on sight. And when she did finally show up after blowing her phone 10 times she didnt know where the DJ could plug into their system, she didnt know she had to be there to control the lighting for our first dance, garter dance ect. which is what i signed for, there was no SECURITY present which is what I signed for. So it was all bad. The communication with this place is no good they take forever to respond back but when it comes to your money best believe you'll be hearing from them. This left a real sour taste in our mouths because we were really looking foward to it. We decided to have our reception here because it gave us Vegas club vibes with the loud speakers and lighting. It had everything that we needed and wanted. But when it came to our first dance ect. I was the one turning the lights off. We had white lights flashing all night instead of colorful lighting for the dance floor really ridiculous and her response was " im not a light technician " but yet she carrys a ipad to control lighting very snotty lady. What a let down.

Most ballet studios only reward tweens and early teens who have small bones, long legs, flexibility, nicely arched feet, small heads, tapering fingers, and parents that can pay for them to come 1-2 times a day, 6 days a week. Not so at Dance West. Mike & Monique, the owners, are serious about ballet and yet they temper it with the understanding that only 1% of their tweens and teens wants to be a professional dancer and that all of their adult dancers dance because they love it. They make ballet fun and hire teachers for tap, jazz, and hip hop that keep that attitude of fun. This is the least snooty dance studio I've been to, and I've been to A LOT of dance studios. Back when it was in Seal Beach, the class schedule & studio brochure used to note that eating disorders were not tolerated. Only by eating a healthy diet and healthy meals would dancers become strong enough to meet the demands of dance, it said. The connected company, Metropolitan Ballet Company, has won choreographic and performance awards in Europe on several occasions.
