He was excited to take the challenge and learn along the way. The job reached a point where it required tools that we do not have. He knew he needed help so he called our local shop, S&S. We wanted to support an independent, small business in our town. The Owner showed up with a flatbed while my son was still bolting the wheel on. The Owner climbed under the front wheel without being asked, to bolt the tie rod back on. It seemed like good customer service at the time. He took the car and we waited for a call with an estimate. The call never came. The next day they called my son to tell him his car was done, and handed him a bill for $646.10. The Owner charged my son $175 to tow his car 2 blocks to his own shop where they did the work without first discussing with my son what it would cost. My son bought all the parts, they were in the car. My son did 90% of the tear down, with the right tools, which I assume they have, it would have been a 2 hour task at most to install the new axle in and put it all back together. They charged $100 hr, and insisted it took them 4 hours. When I questioned the desk attendant, he told us the owner told him he had to crawl under my son's car and do all kinds of work just to get it on the tow truck. He tightened a bolt. It was 2 minutes of his time, and no one asked him to do it. This is about character. If they're willing to take advantage of a 19 year old young man, how do you think they will treat you, your son, your daughter or your wife?

Just…read moremonths after purchasing a used car, we learned that our rear beam axel mounting system made the car undriveable due to rust. Other body shops told us that they could not do the work and/or that we should give up on the car. He fixed rusted out portions of the frame and reinstalled the rear beam, checking with us frequently throughout the process to communicate availability and cost of parts. We are really grateful to Arc Wheels Welding; our car is still driving well four months after repairs.

Sam and Mike were very nice before the sale and next to impossible to contact after the sale. So, I had the truck delivered to me for 595.00. While it was coming off the delivery truck I could see an exhaust leak. Once down and I inspected I saw that the paint was in terrible shape. Scratches on the entire truck including the roof! Looks like someone took light sand paper to the entire vehicle! The drivers seat is broken. Needed new exhaust and manifold! Heat blower does not work on low or medium. They did not even clean the inside or change the oil as promised! Also, the tailgate is broken and just lays on the bumper with no other support! So, I finally got in contact with Mike after having to use a different phone so they would answer! Mike said that they would not help out with any of the costs even though they blatantly lied to me about every aspect of this truck! I am a veteran and Sam acted like I was getting something special and assured me that this truck was in great shape! Liars. I would not recommend these grifters to anyone!
