The Detroit-style crust was incredible: thick and airy on the inside, perfectly crispy on the bottom, with those amazing caramelized, crispy cheese edges that make this style of pizza so good. The Hawaiian was the perfect combination of sweet and savory, and every bite was packed with flavor. The crust alone would be enough to bring me back, but the entire pizza was outstanding. Tried Motorhead Pizza for the first time. Once we got there, we realized the pizza spot was more of a takeout kind of place, but luckily I noticed the brewery nearby. I asked the bartender if we could bring our pizza over, and they were totally welcoming about it. Honestly, what pairs better than pizza and a cold beer? Made with organically-grown California tomatoes and fresh herbs. My BESTIE and I called in and ordered their Gold Rush Pizza. It has garlic white sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, topped with parmesan cheese, hot honey and fresh basil. We were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. There isn't an actual dining area. It's a warehouse, and they share space with a catering company next to it. It was hard to locate in the dark, but we managed. I didn't realize when she said all their pizzas come in one size... an 8X10, she really meant 8X10!! Almost the size of a sheet of paper.. and I was a little thrown off by the price and the size... together. She was very sweet and you could tell she liked working there. We finally made it over here from Carmichael and it was worth it 100%!! Everything on the menu sounded delicious but we played it safe for our children and got a pepperoni and a cali club. The flour is imported from Italy and you can absolutely taste it! It was probably the BEST Detroit style pizza I have ever had! Absolutely our new favorite in the Sacramento Area. Phenomenal pizza! Been looking for a go-to pizza place in the area since moving back from out of state. Motorhead did not disappoint. First I'll start with service. I messed up my order and forgot to order the 2nd pizza. Owner said no problem and expedited the 2nd pizza for us during pickup. He also offered a water while we wait during my mess up which was really nice. Second, pizza was nothing short of a flavor bomb. The crust to cheese ratio was perfect and densely packed. Absolutely phenomenal flavor , ingredients and service. I read the backstory online about this being a married couple who have a little pizza shop in an industrial complex. It was so charming and heartwarming, and the pictures and reviews told me this was not to be missed. So I ordered online and took the 35 minute drive into Loomis to pick up my pizza. I figured I'd be walking into a small little area very quiet with a little old couple behind the counter and I was looking forward to chatting with them about their lives. When I got there, it was an even smaller pick up area with the whole business space dedicated to the cooking area, and there was a line out the door. All the chefs and front desk people were hopping! The place was super busy and it smelled incredible- I told the chef where I had come from and he threw in some free cookies for me to try! So kind, so delicious, so worth the drive. Motorhead Pizza does Detroit Style pizza crust perfectly. Crust edges are crisp and cheesy. The restaurant is located in Loomis in an industrial area with businesses associated with cars. Its location seems fitting given its association with Detroit. Look for signs directing you to the restaurant. This is a To-Go restaurant only with no dine-in. There are two 5-minute parking spots for pickup and other parking lot spaces. When you enter the restaurant, you'll see a metal shelf where the finished orders are. Check in with an employee to get your order. You'll be offered parmesan cheese or chili flakes. I ordered a recommended pizza, the Gold Rush. It had tons of pepperoni. I couldn't really taste the garlic white sauce, sausage, and hot honey. The fresh basil is only good when you first eat the pizza. If you reheat it in the oven as leftovers, it will burn, so try removing it, setting it aside, and placing it back on. I wasn't successful figuring out how to reheat the pizza. 350 for 7 minutes turned out best for me, but still not quite right. Pizza is 8" by 10" cut into 6 squares. 2 pieces was a good serving size for me. Most of the pizzas run between $22.50-$25, which is not cheap. Dipping sauces (i.e., Ranch, Spicy Ranch, Calabrian Chili Hot Honey, Blue Cheese, or Buffalo Sauce) cost extra and have varying prices. These are other Motorhead pizzas I'd be interested in trying in the future: CALI CLUB Garlic white sauce, smoked bacon, ham, roasted chicken, cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and green onions ABE FROMAN Garlic white sauce, Italian sausage, mushrooms, garlic confit, green onions, parmesan cheese VEGGIE Red sauce, mushrooms, red onions, black olives and green bell peppers, parmesan cheese COMBO Red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, black olives, red onions, mushrooms topped with parmesan cheese The Yelp photos and reviews of the Motherlode pizza show and mention a lot of toppings for meat lovers. The Triple Chocolate Sea Salt Cookie is yummy. Cookie is small with a 1.5"-2" diameter. $0.95 per cookie or $8.50 for 10 cookies as of May 2025. I think 2 or 3 cookies per person would be a good dessert serving size. read more

This pizza had soft dough with crispy edges, a delicious garlicy white sauce, and overflowing with topping- pepperoni, sausage and fresh basil. It was tied with a delicious drzzle of hot honey, this added the perfect touch or spice and sweetness. We will definitely return! The pizza was cut into 6 generous portions. These pizzas are very deceiving to look at, they are on the smaller size, but, don't let that dissuade you folks who have hearty appetites--this pizza is thick and has so many fresh, delicious toppings that one pizza easily serves two, in fact, I could only eat 2 pieces of the 6 squares of pizza you get from one pizza! The dough is light and delicious, and the ingredients were top notch! I love the fact that they grate their own cheese (SUPER important for the MOST flavor), and use Tillamook brand mozzarella AND cheddar cheeses on their pizzas!! The staff that took our order and assisted us during our pickup were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy their jobs there, too, which is a plus as well. We will definitely be back to try some of their other pies and I'm so happy to know that when we are craving a high quality Detroit pizza, we have access to the best out there!!! I finally made it out to loomis to try this pizza. It was very good, and pretty filling too. I was worried , when I saw how small it was, since me and my wife were splitting it, but it was plenty and we even had 2 pieces left over. We did also get an order of wings too. The wings were just average, but for wings that are cooked in an oven and not deep fried, they were pretty good. The pizza was good, crispy edges, just like a Detroit style pizza should be. The flavor and dough were great, and I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately, the first slice I picked up had a thick strand of hair in it, which was a huge turnoff. I also ordered a regular Pepsi but received a Diet Pepsi instead. To top it off, hot honey was oozing out of the box and left a large oily stain on my car seat.
