I had my KTM 450 in there twice to get it looked over (just bought it) and serviced . Bill came to 1876$, I get the bike home and it doesn't even run hardly, they allegedly rebuilt the carb and put a desert tank on it, I wake up in the morning and the new tank that I put fuel in is full of black algae looking shit.... So I take it back and they have it for 3 more weeks and say it's running perfect and they put the stock tank back on, I get it home and it runs like garbage again ( not even 1 min of ride Time ). So now I'm 2700$ into it and it still runs like shit and he tried to charge me for the faulty tank and to swap It back absolutely ridiculous right?? So I take it to cycle fax and the guy has it 1 day, charges me 271$ and the bike runs perfect, a gasket in the carb was bad, the very issue I took it in for in the first place and they "rebuilt it" what a fucking joke... these guys are crooks read more

I've purchased two bikes over the last 5 years from MPC, the most recent being in January. I love this shop. I know they serve many riders but every time I'm there I've been treated like family. Matt has always been fair and honest. In fact on my last purchase I missed a Factory Promo by a week and unknown to me he contacted his rep and was able to extend the savings to me after the purchase. I mean, who does that other than an honest shop that cares. And Chad in the parts dept is GOLD. Tons of knowledge, and loves bikes. I think he gets more excited about my purchases than I do. It was a hot day in sac and I asked for a drink of water. He said we have red bull or a hose pipe out front. I realized they had a water dispenser in the garage and after I made a ridiculous attempt and sprayed myself in the face wetting half my body, a mechanic gave me a nice cup of ice cold water. I stopped by this dealership today. I was helped by another customer, yep, you read that right. I chatted with another customer about KTM bikes. Then I wandered around a bit and eventually I asked for help with the bikes. I was told that person was going to lunch but they'd get someone else. I waited a while then decided it was time to go. Since this may not be a usual occurrence I am starting at 3 stars. They had good inventory and a nice parts department. I know it's a small business and people have to take breaks, but if someone asks for help there is no excuse, you knew and chose not to act. Maybe this will help, maybe not, that's up to the dealership. There is another KTM dealership an extra ~15 minutes away from where I live. I was helped at that dealership, guess where I will go next time? Power tip: never leave customers waiting, they will go buy from someone else. read more

I went in for some help diagnosing a clutch issue. Parts guy didn't really want to give me the time of day and kept telling me the parts I brought in were not KTM parts and I must have the wrong engine in my bike or something... Really? If I had just gone off his advice I would be no closer to solving the issue. After nicely pressing the issue talking through it he finally looked up on the parts diagram that my parts were correct. I suspected the cable so I bought a new clutch cable and voila. Running bike again. Would give one star, but in the end he helped me figure it out. Not the kind of service one expects from KTM. read more

This shop is just % fantastic! I bought a new KTM racer and about a year into it I had a motor problem. They recovered it off the street, diagnosed my problem, and then installed another (brand new) engine. all at NO CHARGE. The KTM's can't be beat for the technology you receive for the money. I pass 2 other shops and drive 15 miles to shop here. I have one shop withing a mile of my home and I still go to Brad and Chad at MPC. They know me by name, and have parts for all 3 of my bikes in stock every time. When I call they don't make me feel like I'm a pain and they take the time to help me. If I ever bought a NEW bike it would be from here even if I had to pay a little extra. The service and peace of mind knowing I'n buying from good people goes a long way. read more

Crazy story! So I found out about the new KTM EXC Electric pilot program in the United States that factory KTM is running, you get a $15,000 2017 Freeride exc E motorcycle for $8299. This was a bargain I couldn't pass up, all my local dealers that sold the electric bikes were sold out. So I called around to other California stores and found one down south, my friend and I both bought one and the dealer down south was great throughout the sales process. They delivered the two bikes from LA to Northern California that same week. My friend and I rode our bikes a half a dozen times and had a total blast and after my sixth ride, I plug my bike into the charger and got red lights and an error message stating there is a battery error. So after almost one full month of dealing with the service department at the dealer down south and factory KTM, I was super frustrated. Factory KTM told me to take it to my nearest electric certified KTM dealer. My closest dealer was MPC KTM in Roseville, they are about an hour and 30 minutes away from my house. I drove up there this last week and planned on staying most of the day to see if there was a chance they could get the bike fixed that day and I would not have to drive back up to pick the bike up. After about an hour of dealing with the service guys at MPC, they ran various tests, called factory KTM, and asked the owner what they should do, the owner got involved, Ran on some of his own test, made a phone call to the KTM factory and basically fought to get me good customer service. KTM wanted to take weeks to research and then finally get me either a new battery or a new charger but the owner continued to fight for me and eventually got approval to send me home with a brand new $900 charger fully covered under warranty. The owner saved me much valuable time driving back-and-forth and has a loyal customer for life now. I should also mention this dealer has the most insane supply of KTM accessories and Hardparts that I've ever seen, if they don't have a part of that you want for your KTM I would be shocked. Thank you again to MPC and the entire team and especially the owner who is one hell of a guy. You were all helpful and professional, u showed me great courtesy and I really appreciate it. read more

I'm a first time customer at MPC and bought a new $10,000 dirt bike from them. The bank sent them the check next day and I called MPC asking them to call me when they received the check so I could come down and pick up my new bike; I planned on riding it the next day with friends at an OHV area 2 hours away and we were leaving at 6am the next day. MPC said they would call. I had the tracking number and the check showed that it was delivered at 11am. By 4:30pm I had still not received a phone call so I went down there and they apologized for not calling me, but they had "gotten busy." Ok. So i then proceeded to order some new parts/accessories for my new bike that they didn't carry in stock. They said they would call me when parts came in, and it's been 6 weeks and I have yet to hear from them. I would have imagined that they would have realized that this was a great opportunity to give a great first impression to a brand new customer who just purchased a new motorcycle from them. But they failed big time in impressing me, and their after-the-sale customer service has been non-existant. I expected A LOT more from a dealership that sells a premium product like KTM. I have a BMW motorcycle and A&S right next door, though might have some tools on their sales team, have always treated me as a special customer, which is what needs to happen to get me to actually go out of my way after the sale to buy parts from a shop vs. the internet. I'm all for helping the small local shop, but they have to earn my business, and MPC seemed like they could care less if I ever went back there again. read more

This is a ZERO star rating! The story goes that we had to bring our KTM bike back down to Motorcycle Performance Center after we brought it home (50+miles away) and found that the very reason we had the bike into the shop wasn't fix. Upon picking it up again, some very young men loaded it in our truck. Now mind you, I brought 6 tie downs. I questioned twice why they loaded in the truck and were tying it down with the front wheel turned. I explained to them that I did NOT want it to fall over, and I had 50+ miles to go. The young men seemed to struggle with how to get it to stand up, so a manager walked out and had them unstrap it and load it completely different. I stressed again that I had a long way to go and did not want it to fall over. Well guess what, no sooner did I leave the parking lot and headed down the street to turn around to get on the freeway the bike fell over and hit the side of the truck. A passer buyer rolled his window down and asked if I needed help. He said he would come back to the bike shop and let them know, that he watched it just tip as I took the corner. I went back to the bike shop less than 3 minutes later and OUT Roars Brad! I had my husband on the phone and I handed the phone to Brad. He went on about some song and dance about he is not responsible for loading bikes but he would take care of the damage on the truck but we would have to go to the body shop he works with. Fast forward to the spring, when we can live without the truck for a while due to living in snow country, Brad is now changing his entire story. Said I went tearing out of the parking lot and I caused it to tip over and he watched it. First of all, I never tore out of the parking lot, I was already really concerned about their lack of skills of tying it in. Second of all in 31 years of driving I have never had a ticket, nor been pulled over. Third, he is a liar, as it tipped over right down the street out of his eye view. So after back and forth with the body shop and Brad, he now agreed to pay only our deductible. What a piece of work. It is no surprise to read the comments on YELP about Brad. He is a very rude business owner and should be reported to KTM. He is representing the brand in such a negative light. Needless to say our truck got fixed, but only after going through our insurance (thank goodness we have great insurance and it did not affect our coverage), and needless to say we will NEVER frequent this shop again. Brad, you need to learn how to take care of customers that have given you LOTS of business. NO MORE though. Best of luck-Just kidding! read more

I have never been to a shop where the owner is so consistently rude. I finally gave up and will now go elsewhere even if it's farther away. Brad seems like a very unhappy individual and I've seen him treat other customers very condescending (I thought it was maybe just me) so now I know that's just the way he is. I've bought 3 brand new KTM's in the past 10 years from MPC. Brad, Mat and Chad have always treated me extremely well not only professionally but personally as well. They have about every part one could want or need in stock, I live about 150 miles away from their shop so 99% of the parts or accessories I need are shipped to me the same day and I get them the next day UPS ground. I have referred my family and friends to MPC and they have done a great job taking care of them. One thing I respect of the staff and ownership group is they don't BS you and are straight up with their recommendations or suggestions and I appreciate that. I live out of town and when in Roseville I stop here at the KTM shop. The staff is friendly and the parts I have purchased have always been in stock. This last time was thanksgiving. I needed a clutch lever for my 06 450 EXC. It was in stock. Now here is the twist. In conversation with Chad we had talked of many of topics. This is when the mix up may of occurred. I rec'd an 07 clutch lever not the O6. I discovered this quite a while later when I finally got to repairing it at the end of January. When I discovered this I contacted Chad. We made arrangements to have me return the wrong clutch. Now with not a whole lot of chat, the lever was replaced with the help of Chad and Matt. I have my correct clutch. I look forward to coming into the shop on my return trip to Roseville, getting the parts I need, sometimes the parts I want but not necessarily need. read more

Horrendous experience-buying a $10,000+ motorcycle I was treated w/ disdain by Brad the owner. He ignored all my pre assembly requests for handlebar placement, etc. In fact, he ignored 3 out of 4 emails I sent him. At 300 miles, the water pump failed, & his first reaction was that they'd have to check to see if I had done something. He then bald-face lied to me, telling me it would be 2 months before he could work on my BRAND NEW MOTORCYCLE. Found out they were already working on it. Then he tells me how he'd gone to bat for me w/ KTM to get "expedited shipping" of my motor back to them for repair-JUST 5 business days each way. Guess what...I called KTM myself & my new motor was at the dealership in one day. Later I took the bike in for warranty work on the rear shock & to shorten the side stand (the bike was lowered but they neglected the stand, resulting in it falling over repeatedly). Got an unauthorized, & un-estimated, bill for $120. (This is illegal in CA, & I have filed a complaint w/ The Bureau Of Auto Repair). When I went into shock at the surprise charge, Brad told me it was for lifetime suspension adjustments, which I never asked for, but the receipt says "Labor Shorten Sidestand". Turns out that later the rear shock was found to be defective, & the adjustment I had asked for should have been covered by warranty (the rear shock had near zero give). When the new shock was replaced I asked for some sort of deal to recover the unjustified $120 charge, but again, two very obliging emails to Brad were ignored. I will say that I find the parts & repair guys to be exceptional & I recommend them w/out hesitation. However Brad represents the worst of the industry, & no one should buy a motorcycle from him. read more
