Great mechanical work, but ask for explicit quotes on any custom installs. I've brought my Sportster to Shepleys in the past and they've always done good work--and to be fair, the tire install on this visit was done right and without any issues. However, I'm writing this review to advise other riders to be extremely clear about communication before leaving your bike for extra work. I brought in a set of Motohorn Dual Track horns for them to mount while it was in the shop. Instead of calling to give me an update or confirm pricing, they proceeded with a "custom modification" that added over $300 in labor to the final bill. The modification turned out to be a simple 12-inch metal bar with three holes drilled into it to create a bracket. As someone who works around metal fabrication daily, paying 3+ hours of shop labor for a basic piece of drilled scrap flat stock--without receiving a single phone call or heads-up first--was a huge disappointment. Had they called, I could have easily had a bracket made at work for free or figured out an alternative solution. Shepleys is a solid V-twin shop, but the lack of communication on unexpected custom labor cost me hundreds of dollars. If you're bringing in aftermarket parts or non-standard jobs, make sure to explicitly demand a call for approval before they perform any custom work. read more

HUGE shout out to this shop. Today, rolling up to Auburn from Sacramento to head out for an epic ride, I got a flat rear tire and had to pull off the freeway. Was a total bummer because I was going to meet my buddy and we were gonna take off with no destination in mind. I got off the freeway and started looking for shops in the area. These guys answered the phone and I explained the situation. It's Saturday at noon. They were planning to cut the day short and told me they'd hang out and wait for me. I called a tow truck to pick me up and take me over there. Truck showed up just before 2 and got me to the shop in no time. These guys were waiting for me, got the bike on a lift right away. They took off the tire, replaced the valve stem which was the issue, put it back together and I was back on the road. It took less than 30 minutes and I was out. Thank you to the dudes that were there and hooked me up! It turned out to be a great day. As I was waiting, I was checking out the shop, the bikes they had in for service, customs, etc. they obviously know what they're doing and the reviews show it! I live in Sacramento and will be back if I need work. Thank you guys! Much appreciated! read more

I have had Brian Shepley work on my bike for over 10 years. I have followed him from a different shop to his own shop. I won't go to any other shop. He built my bike exactly how I wanted it. It's absolutely beautiful. Everyone at the shop have always treated me with the upmost respect. Their work is top notch! They have been voted "Best of the Best" for years. And I can clearly see why. 3 reviews an hour ago I used to take my bike to another shop by Sunrise and Zinfandel Dr. and every time I'd ride my motorcycle afterwards parts would fall off while I was on road. I was really desperate to find a place I could trust with my bike and I stumbled upon this place in Rocklin. And let me just say, I highly recommend this place to anyone! These guys know what they're doing. They do excellent work, take care customers, and their customer service is great. The owner Brian takes the time to listen to you and give you the best service possible. If you're thinking about coming into this shop I highly recommend you do! read more

My motorcycle sat unused for 5 years due to a medical condition. I contacted Brian to discuss my situation and discuss what it would cost to return it to road worthy condition. Original estimate was $1,000.00 base price. It was towed in for them to inspect the motorcycle and determine what would be required. I mentioned that I'm a casual rider primarily once a week. Since they did my last oil change and replaced my tires actual mileage was less than 1,000. Given this information Josh called me back and said the gas was actually still useable, the tires though 6 years old were in good shape, and the oil is fine. We replaced the battery and installed new key fab batteries. The final bill was 232.64 and we agreed if I were to change my riding habit then new tires, front fork oil, and transmission and crankcase oil would be required. 5 Stars for honesty, integrity and professionalism. 5 Stars for quality of service. 5 Stars for communication. read more

Brian and his team fixed my Sportster up and got it to stop leaking. HD Performance originally caused the leak and would not stand behind his own crappy work. I'm glad I found Shepley's. I wish I would have brought it here first.Thank's Brian! read more

Shepley's V-Twin Motorcycle shop is my family's "go to" for all of our motorcycle service needs. As a responsible motorcyclist (and Mother & Wife of motorcyclists) I want our bikes to be in top form before we go out on the road. Having our bikes serviced at Shepley's ensures that they are ready and safe for the trip. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt that this business should be recognized for their top notch service. Brian is a very professional individual. He cares about his clients and treats us with respect. He is true to his word. When he says he will do something you can guarantee it will be done AND in a timely fashion. He follows up and the 2 most important things to me were transparency and communication. We've had work done by Brian, Rick and Josh. They are all fantastic and thorough in their work. If you need any motorcycle repairs or rebuilds - hands down I recommend Shepley's V-Twin! Safe travels! The Turley Family read more

Brian and the guys at the shop were all cool to work with and answer tons of my question as I'm new to the Harley world. Time being down my motorcycle was very important to me. I set up a quick visit to meet with Brian a few weeks prior to dropping off to see what bars and risers would fit what I was going. Hello, Im going to add a few things to Nelson T review as Mr Shepley is a complete liar. First off we have never got cooperation from Midway tow. According to the DOT they are suspended for not being in compliance of VMT. Look it up. Second, we were working off your estimate by your shop. You said to replace the tank, we didn't want to do that. Remember that dumb ass? You also said to replace the forks. We said no to that as well. WE REDUCED YOUR ESTIMATE FROM 3200 TO 800. I told you several times about the brake switch. I was behind the motorcycle when the engine stopped working. The brake lights were working fine. The bike was elevated when it fell off the rig and struck hard on the right side DAMAGING THE BRAKE LEVER YOU REPLACED AND THE SWITCH YOU DIDN'T. The forks and the tank were to be touched up which you agreed to do. What's that cost , 1.00? Wheres the fraud and scam? The only scam is how you treat your customers when you and Midway refuse to do the right thing. So now we are trying to commit insurance fraud? YOU ARE A STRAIGHT UP PIECE OF SHIT Additionally, the right side fork reflector was broken. Brian Shepley told us no Harley rider keeps the reflectors on their bike and rather that replacing it, just remove it which of course he didn't do. I took a look on craigslist. Most of the Harleys have the fork reflectors still mounted. I mean come on, its just so petty and stupid just to save a buck read more

Had just a small job done today. They got me in and out very quickly, and that was appreciated! I did make an appointment well ahead of time, but they were also willing to squeeze me in earlier if needed. It wasn't an urgent thing, so I just make the appointment. Fast, professional, courteous, and I was happy with the cost. Very pleased with the work they did on my Ultra Classic. read more

Had my first service here at Shepleys V-Twin today on my 14 Flhtk. After years of going to a local competitor! And being treated like a was a bother. And man Am I so glad I came to Bryan Shepleys shop! Great service! Professional, listens to you and they did an amazing job! So happy! Great prices also. Bryan, Rick, and Hunter are great guys! Dropped off my 14 bagger 08:45ish and it was done by 3:30pm same day no issues. Washed and hand spray polished! Wild! Rode it 75 miles this evening. No weird sounds, smells or issues post service! So awesome to be listened too and treated like an important customer and not a pain in the rear customer like I was at the other shop afyer years of loyality. Although this was just a regular service, Redline fluids, 3 hole, Hd Gold plugs, clean air filter, check EVERYTHING, I am confident all that they do is done with professionalism! I knew I was dealing with a totally dialed shop when I arrived to pick up the bike and was shown a detailed check off sheet that showed all the items checked and the bike was clean and polished! These guys are awesome and I definitely will be back!! Thanks Bryan!! read more

After the great sales recommendation of my exhaust which I was able to install myself, it was time for some internal upgrades. Brian's advice on the pipe was stellar so I gave them a shot at the service. Dropped my bike off on a Saturday, picked it up the following Wednesday. Once again, I repeat if you want to know the answer, ask the professional! I gave Brian my budget, asked for what he thought. No high pressure, no Bull@#$% just an honest game plan to handle my request. I can honestly say that my expectations were blown away. Quality work, quick turn around. Being in the service industry myself, it is good to see someone deliver more than they promise. Shepley's is the only place I will trust my bike to be worked on again! read more

By far best service and the most honest guy in the business.. had a wobble on the bike, instead of charging me out the ass as other shops offered to do, Brian looked at it, checked the neck bearing and noticed the type of front tire I had. I was due for a rear tire so had him change both to the brand he suggested and got a full 3 hole oil change at the same time. I couldn't be happier. Rides smoother, no wobble and more than a fair price. Not only will I be returning, I'll make sure everyone I know does as well. Thanks for the great service and honest work Brian!! read more

Great Harley Davidson mechanic. Great service. Attention to detail. Can't say enough good stuff. Always friendly

Brian rebuilt the engine on my 03 Fatboy and even went above and beyond working late nights to get it ready for me to take on our local toy run. He is very experienced and I enjoy talking shop with him. All my friends take their bikes to Brian too. I won't take my '17 Street Glide Special to anyone but Brian! Besides the quality of his work, he and the team provide excellent customer service. He's even gone as far as to refuse payment for small jobs (grip install, light replacement, etc) in the name of "treating customers right." read more
