Think of Arthur Daley and that's these smiling jokers, hiding faults with cars, or telling you that…read morethe car has extras that It doesn't like reversing sensors, no service history just an A4 page with 4 dates and 4 garages on It. Or worse still hiding scratches under what they call a professional polish looks great when you sign, until you take the car for a car wash 3 times and all those scratches become visible again as that polish is washed away. No spare tire, even the unlocking nuts in the boot only 3 out of 4 in the pack. Worse still they deny all the above when questioned under the warranty, which actually only covers the diagnostics test and not all the other stuff. My advice just avoid Raymond Smith dodgy cars, and the finance company they do business with called CarMoney which includes their idea of an extended 12 month warrenty, who only actually offer £60 for a full diagnostics test. Then expect pictures and videos of all the above to prove you're not the liar its the didgy garage, then they say they can't open the file to waste even more time. Or another good one is I'll be away for 2 days that is actually 2 weeks, or yep everything will be repaired but not really only what's on the diagnostics test. This garage is somehow ranked highly with this car finance broker CarMoney, this car was actually advertised as imaculate lol. My advice is deal in emails ignore nice people over the phone who then deny deny deny what was actually said, spend the money for a full diagnostics test to make sure you and you're passengers are safe. Get in touch with consumer rights within 6 months of purchase, if you didn't read this before going to Bedford. Claim all your outgoings back, and personally I would also open a charge back with your bank, you were mis sold and the car is faulty the broker likes to say you signed for it like you were Superman with xray vision. But ignore them, a 5 year credit agreement is a long time and they're not the ones paying It for you.

This is a bit of a weird one. I took my car there for a couple of years and the experience was on…read moreand off. At one point they charged me £15 to look at whether my front light bulb turned on properly after I'd replaced it. I mean they literally walked outside, I turned it on, they said yes and then charged me £15. The worst bombshell was when I had a major cam belt failure. Ray was away and they 'fixed' it only to have not checked the compression beforhand. So they charged me and then a week later when my car wouldn't work they had it back in. The result was that after spending £3500 with them I got my car back with the engine disassembled in the boot and I had to sell it for scrap. You can tell from the money I spent that I knew it was a hard job and was prepared to spend the money to get it fixed, sadly, I was without my own car for about 6 weeks and never had it on the road again. I had another cambelt failure in my next car (I know, crap luck) and took it somewhere else where they fixed it in 3 days and charged me £1000. I would never go to Ray's again unless it was an absolute emergency and even then I probably wouldn't
