If you need to turn left to exit, I recommend going through the center to get to the light. The line starts much earlier than opening hour at 8 am. People started lining up at 7 am on the Saturday when I went. I will say coming early is always well worth it! They have 25 tellers so it goes quickly if you have all your paperwork ready. I also liked that when I did have to fill out paperwork, they kept me at the teller. She said we didn't have to leave because we are her customers, which was a different experience than the one in fair oaks where they would make you wait again if you didn't have the paperwork properly filled out.

This location is tucked inside the American Legion & is literally a folding table located in their main event room. I thought I walked into the wrong place, as did others behind me, but it's small size was super nice & it was epic to have no line! The person who assisted me was very nice & friendly ~ She's was 5 stars! And the convenience of being able to make an appointment & be seen right away ~ again 5 stars! And being located in close proximity to me ~ another 5 stars! The DMV gets only 1 star because of all the BS involved but it's not this location's fault, it's the way the DMV rolls. I had made an appointment & was confident that I had everything I needed to complete my transaction. Sure enough, I sat down & the lady said I needed another piece of information that was not listed on the website! What does that mean... It means that I could not complete my transaction! It means that I took off time/leave from work and drove somewhere unnecessarily! And it means that I now have to go back & do it all over again! Frustrating to say the least!!! On my FOURTH (4th) visit to the MVA to handle titling issues, I was told I NOW needed additional documentation. On my THIRD visit, I was told I needed ONE additional document, which I brought to my FOURTH visit. So, MVA, Governor Wes Moore and all public servants of the friggin MVA, why is there an additional requirement when it was not identified on the initial or even third visit for that matter? I really don't like to call anyone incompetent, but the level of service, incompetence inadequacy and inefficiency is nothing short of PISS POOR. Why does every window at the damn MVA have different requirements? Containing frustration when dealing with the MVA is an understatement.

I went to this one and it said there was about a 9 minute wait time. This was around 11am on a Saturday. The process was very smooth. I am surprised the state of Virginia doesn't have this. Such an efficient drive-thru emissions inspection. I got in line, once I got to the booth they asked for my MVA emissions request, they put a sensor for the gas cap test, I stepped out for like 3 minutes to pay while they did an OBD test, then given a print out and done. I was out in fifteen minutes, I was expecting at least half an hour.
