If you need to turn left to exit, I recommend going through the center to get to the light. The line starts much earlier than opening hour at 8 am. People started lining up at 7 am on the Saturday when I went. I will say coming early is always well worth it! They have 25 tellers so it goes quickly if you have all your paperwork ready. I also liked that when I did have to fill out paperwork, they kept me at the teller. She said we didn't have to leave because we are her customers, which was a different experience than the one in fair oaks where they would make you wait again if you didn't have the paperwork properly filled out.

This location is tucked inside the American Legion & is literally a folding table located in their main event room. I thought I walked into the wrong place, as did others behind me, but it's small size was super nice & it was epic to have no line! The person who assisted me was very nice & friendly ~ She's was 5 stars! And the convenience of being able to make an appointment & be seen right away ~ again 5 stars! And being located in close proximity to me ~ another 5 stars! The DMV gets only 1 star because of all the BS involved but it's not this location's fault, it's the way the DMV rolls. I had made an appointment & was confident that I had everything I needed to complete my transaction. Sure enough, I sat down & the lady said I needed another piece of information that was not listed on the website! What does that mean... It means that I could not complete my transaction! It means that I took off time/leave from work and drove somewhere unnecessarily! And it means that I now have to go back & do it all over again! Frustrating to say the least!!! BUT this location itself is 5 stars & I would highly recommend.

I'm leaving this review because I believe management should be aware of my experience with an…read moreemployee named Kat. Unfortunately, she was extremely unhelpful and dismissive throughout my interaction. She stayed behind her computer, made little to no eye contact, and seemed unwilling to answer even basic questions. Rather than explaining things or attempting to help, she made me feel as though my questions were an inconvenience. When I asked for her name, she noticeably paused before answering, which honestly left me questioning whether "Kat" was even her actual name. I'm not making that accusation, but the hesitation was unusual enough to mention. This also isn't an isolated issue at this location. I've repeatedly been given completely different information by different employees regarding what documents I need, sometimes on the same day or just a day apart. I've followed instructions, returned with the documents I was specifically told to bring, and was then told I needed something completely different. The ongoing inconsistency and lack of communication and professionalism have made every visit unnecessarily frustrating. I understand DMV employees deal with a high volume of customers, but basic professionalism, consistency, communication, and courtesy should still be expected. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these concerns.
