I submitted my car for sale and received a very good offer from the dealership. I drove all the way there after speaking with Joe, making it very clear that I was only selling my vehicle and was not interested in buying another vehicle. I specifically told him that I wanted the offer I had received to be honored. Once I arrived, however, the dealership came up with every possible reason to reduce the offer--ultimately lowering it by approximately $6,000. The explanation? Apparently, their algorithm had made a mistake on the original offer. Now they're blaming the technology. It's interesting that the algorithm was apparently smart enough to make the original offer, but somehow became wrong once I showed up at the dealership. I have documentation proving exactly what happened, including the original offer, the mileage, and the condition of my vehicle. There wasn't one spec of damage on it--it was essentially a brand-new vehicle. And I should have known something wasn't right when I overheard one of their employees going after an elderly customer, trying to convince him that his vehicle wasn't worth what he thought it was and that they didn't even want it. That really bothered me. It makes me wonder how many people--especially elderly customers or people who aren't familiar with the car-buying process--have been put in similar situations. If the dealership responds to this review with an explanation, that's fine. I will respond with the documentation and proof of what actually happened. I am also submitting my documentation to the Better Business Bureau and Massachusetts consumer affairs authorities and asking them to review my experience with this dealership. I can only imagine how many other customers may have experienced something similar without having the documentation or knowledge to challenge it. Do yourself a favor: read the reviews, get everything in writing, and be very careful before making the trip to this dealership.

When we researched the amount of the part and how much they supposedly charge an hour they were over charging us at least $90. When we called them on it, they screamed on the phone and said, "Fine! We'll take $100 cash". So we agreed to that number and then not even 5 minutes later they called and said, "Forget it. We took out the new part and put back the old. Deal off" So we had to tow it to another autoshop. It's as if they got upset because we called them out trying to overcharge us then they retracted their deal out of pride without even trying to rebargin. Unbelievable. One of the bearings on the rear axle was gone. I went to buy a new bearing as I had no money to just bring it to a place to fix it. I attempted to fix it myself but had no bearing-puller and I was unable to remove the bearing my self. With a bicycle I pedaled to One Stop Towing, the nearest place where they serviced and worked on cars. I guess Dave Bell, the owner, felt sorry for me and pulled the bearing. When I asked for the price for his help, he answered, "good luck, you do not owe me anything." Over the years, even so I did service my cars myself if possible, on occasion I needed One Stop's service. I can not remember ever having any issues or was in any way disappointed. I consider Dave Bell a man with integrity and a big hart; the only flaw he may has is the inability to say no to anybody in need. Years ago, during a snow storm, I found myself in a ditch with my car; Dave was there to help me, not to make any money, he was there to help! I called him today as I need a rental truck to move stuff next week. He was very patient and explained me how the truck rental business has change over the years and how I most likely will find the rental truck I need. I'm in the retail business and found out that there is about 1% of the population you will never be able to satisfy, no matter what you do. Unfortunately, this 1% are the ones who leave probably 50% of all the reviews, and naturally they are without exception scathing. If you do some research to find out who these people are, you will find out that they never did anything meaningful their entire life and do not amount to much.
