Victoria was fantastic in coming up with a design that worked with the space, and she walked me through picking design elements, finishes, and fixtures that would work together and have am inviting, beachy, cohesive look throughout the whole house! Victoria worked to figure out how I use the house and what changes would improve it for me. Victoria created a design that made the space much more welcoming, and suggested subtle changes to the floorplan that made the house more functional and gave it a much better flow. She made renderings and designs to visualize the result, and make sure the contractors understood the design and intent. She made a spreadsheet with alternatives for materials and appliances with costs that helped to plan the project going in, and helped me avoid going over budget on a down-to-the-studs remodel on the whole house. Victoria helped manage the project including working with the general contractor to make sure work was performed correctly and in accordance with the design. She helped find specific detail contractors, like a custom stair rail fabricator, to make sure the vision of the house became a reality. Ana came up with a beautiful design and we couldn't be happier with the results. She really helped guide us and worked with us to help our vision come to life. We're out of their usual location range and couldn't work with their contractors, so I think because of that some of the communication was challenging between designer and contractor. (It seems like they work pretty seamlessly with Builder Boy!) So while that was challenging at times, the end result is one I know I couldn't have done without Ana's skilled eye and access to beautiful materials I didn't even know existed. Once the design process was done, she helped me to manage the project and communicate with the contractor (she introduced me to two options, got me quotes from both, and I went with JJ Construction, who was wonderful!). Of course a project of this size will come with its problems and the best thing about Satin and Slate is that they always had a solution or solutions ready for me. Our bathrooms are gorgeous, and we love them. Troy is completely knowledgable in all aspects of his company's workmanship, and this comes through in the final product. His entire crew is amazing! The crew is comprised of extremely talented people who excel in their respective trades...demo, plumbers, electricians, tile installers, quartz fabrication and installation for countertops/bathtub cabinet, painters, carpenters...plus project mngr and foreman who oversee the many details of the project. Also you get the very much appreciated assistance from Bibi, the fabulous designer who is always upbeat and ready to help. We depended upon on her expertise quite often.
