I love love love primark!…read more This a fairly big store and has everything you need! The clothes are cheap as is the underwear and accessories. People often comment that the clothes are not good quality but almost everything i have bought has washed up well and i have worn time and time again. However if you do get the odd item that doesnt wash or wear well it is not a major loss because of the cheapness. I often buy my summer holiday wardrobe at Primark with t-shirts costing between £1.50 and £3 and shorts for about £5. Flip flops and bikinis are also amazing value. I am not overly keen on the ladies underwear but my partner wears the boxer shorts and the black socks for work. The only downside to this shop is the queue's and the fact that it sometimes resembles a jumble sale! The queue's are massive and sometimes snake around the clothes! I would recommed going 1st thing in the morning when it opens and midweek, never a weekend! The staff are always nice and will always go out to the stock room to look for stuff for you.

I find they have pretty much all the clothes anyone would wish for and is a step up from the uber cheap primark. It feels a bit dated the way the store is layed out, but then again, this probably keeps costs down as opposed to having booming music and flashy displays etc.. with endless streams of sales assistants asking 'are you alright mate'. I prefer to just get in, quickly get something, and get out, matalan facilitates this. Ideal if your male, hate clothes shopping.

Their excuse was that the clothes didn't sell very well and I would have to travel to Waterlooville to see if they carry plus sized clothing, which is about 40km away. It astounds me that a store that advertises that it sells plus sized clothing actually doesn't. And them saying the clothes didn't sell very well that's why the Eastleigh one doesn't carry them is just ridiculous .. considering the obesity problem in the UK and that at least 50% if not more ladies are at least a size 16 or higher. Sadly, the other plus sized clothing providers in the Southampton area have also closed. Their suggestion? Order my clothes online.

Not a lot of the adult clothing moved my soul, although they have some great beach bags, totes and purses. I think if you were about to go somewhere hot, you'd find pretty swimwear and cover ups. Also, I get the feeling that the stock changes frequently, and I really want to know where it's made before I buy anything there. Food for thought.

The location consists of multiple stories, with each section having a dedicated clearance section. All prices are clearly marked, and include taxes (which somewhat compensated for the prices being in pounds). My wife got a good deal for a blouse (5 quid), that she wore multiple times on our cruise. Going on a multi-day cruise with just carry-on luggage (allowing us to be nimble as we explore), means only light weight clothing that is easy to handwash/air dry. TK Maxx (just like its sibling Marshalls/TJMaxx in the States) is great place to pick up heavily discounted clothes that fit that bill. It's also fun to see what fashion and brands a foreign country is selling...in this case, it was similar to what we are able to find in the States (along with similar prices). It was a self checkout and we had no issues using our US bank issued card. Learning: TJK changed the name to TK Maxx to avoid confusion with a British retailed called T.J. Hughes.

There is a decent sized car park behind the store but it is hard to park in as it is free so some people park there to go shopping elsewhere, not good. A really good place to start looking for baby stuff if you do not have the first idea where to begin.

I dont really go much on their kids and teenagers clothes, in my opinion its a bit too adult, and kids should be clothed as kids! I reckon zara clothing is aimed more at the 30 something market as the clothes in here are a little more sophisticaed, but i wouldn't say a better quality! I really like the items on offer in zara, but i've never actually bought anything from here, as im just not convinced on the price versus the quality. Plenty of larger taller sizes for those of you that are a bit taller then the rest of us!

Its' on the ground floor of West Quay next to New Look. The styles change fast so if you see something get it as it's not likely to be there for long! They still have the half price jewellers, which has been there for years as has the newsagents. There are few new shops but they now have an urban clothing store which has clothes that are hard to get in the U.K and a catalogue seconds shop. Never seems very busy and always just has people sitting around. Just outside the door is Debenhams and two restaurants which are okay to eat in when you are shopping. Feel quite sad really because my grandparents used to bring me here as a child when there was a bakery and a place for children's birthday parties. Aww Nostalgia!
