Although every blue moon will find the odd bargain. It is a huge bloody place and a word of warning you will lose Granny when she toddles off to the garden centre and you head in the opposite direction. Its also very hard to handle more than about 45 minutes in here as for some unknown reason the whole place seems to suffocate you.

Its the ultimate craft and home build store ever, just everything you could ever need or want for crafting. What lets it down is you do pay a premium for having it all under one roof and its often cheaper even in Southampton to shop elsewhere if you can find it. If you're willing to shop online I'd highly recommend OPITEC in Southampton instead!

I highly recommend a visit she is a lovely welcoming lady and if there doesn't happen to be the item you are looking for she will order it in for you. There is a little room available for very reasonable rent on the premises which is ideal for craft clubs, demonstrations etc. with tea and coffee making facilities. All in all for a first timer at retail she has made a very big step and it looks like it is paying off!! Give this little shop a try if you are in the area and need to top up your crafty bits!!

It has a fairly wide selection of materials, wool, netting, cotton, needles, fabric etc and the staff are friendly and personable. I havent always had the best customer service in there (the staff wont necessarily stop what theyre doing to serve you, for example) but the prices are affordable for an independent shop and thats what matters in this time of the credit crunch!

It stocks some truly gorgeous pieces of jewellery, a fabulous range of sterling silver pieces, some just plain others inlaid with semi precious stones often available as a set of necklace, earrings and bracelet if required. They also sell a small selection of modern/designer brand watches. If buying as a gift a small gift box can be purchased at an extra cost. My only problem with this store is that the staff are very young, often involved in personal conversations so if you ask for help you are having to interrupt them and the counter area can be messy when they are merchandising the units. All this aside once you have their attention the staff are happy to help, eager to show you the jewellery pieces and keen to advise.

As far as value for mnoney, well it's always difficult to compare, because it's not like any other shop where you can do a comparrison, it's more down to what does it for you and how much you're prepared to pay for it! Always as for a little free something with a purchase, like a cleaning cloth or gift wrap!
