I went to the leawood location and I love how clean the environment is. The pop of color and logos really stand out and has a modern touch while being playful with their menu language and name of the restaurant. The food all came out with a great crisp and the meat was tender. The fries are crinkle style and they have lots of sauces to choose from. You can choose your spice level for the amateurs and the experts. I LOVE their seasoning and want to buy it to take home. They have alcohol only at this location too. I enjoyed the tasty chicken and the first-rate service at this new location during my dine-in lunch visit. My solo tender with small fries and cole slaw was served 11 minutes after I ordered at the counter. The meal had generous portions of everything, with a crunchy, spicy coating on the premium, moist white chicken, pickled cole slaw and crinkle cut fries that were meaty, not greasy (nice), but oversalted for my taste. I liked the buttered, lightly toasted piece of white bread. Each member of the staff I encountered was cheerful, friendly and helpful. I also noticed an attention to cleanliness. A manager stopped by for a satisfaction check. The dining area was spacious and colorful with plenty of natural lighting and country background music. I also noticed two patio areas out front. I've been to the MC in the crossroads and was happy to see this new location in Leawood. The guy behind the counter did an excellent job of explaining the process of how the chicken is prepared and the spice levels. The chicken tenders were moist and spicy. The fries were ok. I don't typically hand out one star reviews very often anymore, because I realized after 10 years of writing them the nuance of pluses and minuses as it were. Mother clucker is not a good place to eat. They charge a lot. Their chicken is unbreaded and salty. They're fries are dry and salty. The lemonade and the sweet tea are both from a vendor, and both are offensively flavored. I would drink 4-day-old sweet tea that fermented just a little; I've done as much in the past, regrettably. I actually poured out my entire lemonade and my entire sweet tea after a few sips. That's saying something. We stopped in here to try this place because it seemed like a hip and now restaurant, but the flavor is horrible. There really isn't a discernible flavor beyond the concert level saltiness, so what you're left with is a receipt two times the amount it should be and extremely high blood pressure. Their interior design is also thrown together, it's a wonderless place exists at all. But being across the street from that gastly ice cream place that effectively puts Blue Bunny in a cup, covers it with something stupid, and charges $42 for the trouble makes all of this make sense. I visited this restaurant pretty late into the evening close to closing time and was not expecting the level of service I received. My food was also SO good I forgot to snap a picture first. My tenders and fries were friend fresh and the two young men were very polite and did not hesitate to showcase amazing customer service even before closing. read more

Like this new location in Leawood. I ate in this location once and had takeout also. Parking is limited in Leawood Parkplace. The chicken tenders and Comeback sandwich are very tasty. I like that you can customize your level of spice/heat. The fries were pretty good and good for dipping into sauce or ketchup. The fountain drinks had a good selection and ice tea and lemonade. The price was a little high but the quality of the chicken seemed above average. They do have a rewards program also. read more

Thought it was very good. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. The seasoning and spice level was just right and provided a little bit of a kick. The fries are also pretty good. I think the cluck sauce could use a little improvement, probably making it a little more viscous and dip able. Did take a while to come out but as always, you can't rush greatness. read more

The food is decent, but nothing special. Essentially the same seasoning as Dave's hot chicken. The wings are breaded, and tasty, and very large. I ordered six, but four would have been just fine. With fries and a drink it was $20. Very expensive for what it is. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way for this, particularly with how expensive it is. read more
