Came here for a quick breakfast before a long drive back home with the family . Ordered the champagne pancakes and side of sausage. Shared it with my daughter and both were tasty. It's super small in here but very cute and the theme is adorable. The kids loved it. read more

What a cute little spot. I said to my fiance that they better be capitalizing on merch and they better have a room key tag. And they did. And I bought it for my Keychain. The ambiance is kitchy and perfect. It reminded me of the golden girls, my facoeite show, and a motel, but all in good ways. It is all mimicking a motel. There is also an outside to sit and dine, but we stayed inside. The service was great. I got rhe fried chicken and Cajun fries. This waa gluten free and they had many items available gluten free. It was incredible. I enjoyed the hot honey and the aioli that came with. My fiance had the Brussels hash. It looked great. He enjoyed it. Definitely stop here if you are in the area. Parking free in the parking lot across the street on Sundays. read more

Overall rating: 4.5/5 (rounded up on Yelp) Truly one of the best brunch spots in Hamilton! There's something for everyone at Motel, whether you're a classic brekkie fan, vegetarian/vegan, or have a sweet tooth. The standouts that I recommend are their champagne pancakes (gold flakes, the thickest, decadent Devonshire cream, and raspberry champagne could on top of a giant stack of pancakes), their No Tell Eggs Benny (two words -- tater tots!), and their The Concierge (for all the classic brekkie meat lovers). Presentation is gorgeous, taste is top notch, and the price of their menu is on par with most brunch places. If I were to critique anything, I'd say that sometimes service can be inconsistent (e.g., when they're very busy) and the cleanliness of the floors & downstairs washrooms is ok but could be improved. Despite this, I think the food quality and overall cute motel-themed decor are worth the trip here. read more

Visited in the spring for my birthday brunch with my family and also again with a friend for a late Sunday brunch. Both times the service was good and the food was excellent. If you're into fancy pancakes, be sure to try their champagne ones (don't forget to snap some content for TikTok lol) they taste as good as they look. Most recently I ordered the avocado toast breakfast and it was delish. Portions are also generous and I appreciate the variety of ingredients in the dishes as well. Wish they had decaf coffee but other than that, a solid bunch place for sure! read more

We're from out of town and found this place on yelp. Very nice place, it was cool and rainy so we ate inside. they have a really nice patio out back My wife had never of their burgers which she loved! Ate the whole thing which is unusual for her and it was a very large burger I had the perch as I'm a sucker from r local fresh fish. That was fine too and the fries, a test for us, were hot and nicely crispy We'd go back here again. read more

Such a fun pretty spot with food to match! Yumm Yumm! I mainly came for their cute motel theme restaurant. The No tell Motel! Even bathrooms are in rooms. 104 to 102 I believe. Super cute. Came last week on a Tuesday no less and they were busy. Super busy. It's also smaller than I expected. Cute nonetheless! Came with my brother/family! Food definitely looks fancier here. Champagne pancakes with gold flakes was what I came for. So I got just that.. and chicken and waffles is also a must! Maple latte/ very Canadian! Ana So GOOD!! Like so good!! Chicken and waffles was huge! 3 of us shared and we had left overs. We also had sides of eggs, avocados etc. Champagne pancakes ftw!! Literally, run, don't walk for them. So good! And drinks. They have table side mimosa kits. So fun, again! Also, spotted their upside down grilled cheese. Massive! The winner was champagne pancakes. Bit decors, maple latte and all pink everything is great too. Definitely worth a visit or 4!! read more

AMAZING brunch spot! The resto took safety measures seriously, it was also the perfect place to pamper ourselves after 2 hours of hiking. We ordered the tourist and the famous champagne pancakes. Both were delicious! The tourist came with greens, eggs, tater tots and fresh bread. The fluffy pancakes came with heavenly chantilly cream and raspberry coulis. Was tad disappointed because the online menu was not updated- they no longer served the cocktail I wanted so I ordered the pomegranate sangria instead.. I thought the pomegranate juice was too overpowering. Overall still a lovely experience... I'm already planning the next trip to Hamilton (once lockdown is over)! read more

Hands down my favourite breakfast spot in Hamilton. When you first step into this place I really feel like I'm in another world. The champagne pancakes and the sugar bacon... it's to die for. Don't get me started on the maple latte. I would give this place 100 stars if I could. read more

Motel was a memorable stop. Yelp reviews made it sound too interesting to pass up and it definitely lived up to that promise. The plates were very stylish and tasty. The decor is evocative of a Miami or Las Vegas motel of the 1960s -- all that's missing is the swimming pool. The music, however, was more of a contemporary chill on the occasion of our visit. The service was attentive and friendly. I'd definitely return. The one unexpected thing was no scrambled eggs as a matter of kitchen policy. read more

Flamingo Pink with all the Bling Bling! You are at the right place for that South Beach Miami Vice. So much details even that pink rotary phone! Motel Restaurant is in a "up and coming" neighbourhood in Hamliton. All Day brunch anyone? Serves till 2 pm on weekdays and 3 pm on weekends. We were the first customers of the day. No lines, no wait on a weekday. Service was friendly and attentive. Champagne Pancakes ($19.50) Luxurious Cakes w/ Devonshire Cream, Raspberry & Pink Champagne Coulis & Gold Flakes Yes Please with gold flakes. Pretty and delicious. Fluffy and light. I want to eat that with a glass of champagne! Short Rib Brunch Bowl ($22) Spicy Short Ribs, Sweet Potato, Red Pepper, Quinoa & Pickled Onion & Topped w/ 2 Over Easy Eggs Not a traditional brunch selection but quite filling as we want to have something more savory. This is definitely one of the cutest spots I've been in Hamilton that serves brunch. We had the champagne pancakes, loaded nachos fries, and the buttermilk fried chicken & waffles. I was there on a Wednesday and they had a promotion on the Mimosas! $11 to just $6! The champagne pancakes definitely had the best presentation and it was also delicious! The portion was so big I had to take half home! The loaded nacho fries came with skinny fries (my fav) and was paired nicely with the tomato chutney! The fried chicken and waffles were all around my favourite! The chicken was beautifully cooked and fried to perfection, it came with a side of the homemade honey butter and honey lemon chilli sauce. Overall everything was so delicious! Although pricey, this place is a must try! The COVID protocols were fully in place, online menus, sanitizing our hands right when we entered, they have barriers set up between tables, and they even have the option of paying through the website on your phone too! read more

Motel is definitely one of my favourite place for brunch. Very covid Safe and allowed contact free payment, something i haven't seen before! Loving the technology! Interior: I LOVED the interior. It was pink with glasses build in to promote social distancing. They had room keys as tables which went with the vibe of a motel. The phone was a retro phone that they use for reservations. The whole environment fitted the theme. Even the bathrooms were made to follow the theme! I love it Food and drinks Food was amazing, i also had a warm cocktail which i forgot what it's called but it had pear and cinnamon. The champagne pancake was instagram worthy as well as delicious! It was super filling, and we couldn't finish it because we did order a lot of food. I also got the happy tourist with a side of bacon and it was so amazing. The bread was very thick and the tater tots had a Cajun seasoning to it i believe. It was so delicious. We also had a side of the fried chicken which was 10/10. I don't quite remember the name of my drink but it was a warm cocktail with cinnamon. It was WOW, my first time having a warm cocktail and i could not go back to cold ones haha! Service: The food came out quickly and server was super nice and helpful. Overall 11/10, i recommend this restaurant to everyone i know read more

The atmosphere was very dreamy. The coal pink interior and seafoam green were really cool and interesting. I also looked the motel theme scattered throughout the restaurant. The bartender/waiter was very quick to seat us and let me and my gf know where the restroom was and asked if we had any food allergies. Very polite staff and a very friendly, trendy spot for brunch. read more

Oh my the food was sooooo delicious! Went here to celebrate my best friend's birthday since she's been wanting to eat here for a while. There are so many options and such a great variety! We ended up ordering the Strawberries & Cream Flapjacks and the No Tell Eggs Benny. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Maple strawberry compote was perfect and not too sweet, which I always fear when ordering pancakes. And the pancakes were so fluffy! As for the eggs Benny, the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly and not salty at all! Very good portions as well. I would come with a few friends so that you can try a lot from the menu! It is a small restaurant so you may have to wait during prime time, but it's worth it. I will definitely be coming back! read more

$21 for the infamous champagne pancakes TAKEOUT due to Covid. Seems like the prices went up a bit? Perhaps because the online system is managed by Door Dash and they need to take a cut. It's still quite fluffy and delicious, taking into consideration of some condensation from the take out boxes. I paid $25 including taxes and a $1 tip. A bit steep for just take out pancake. Will just have to wait for it to open back up again, then at least you can enjoy the service and the restaurant vibe. read more

This pink palace is absolutely my favourite brunch location in Hamilton. They have the fluffiest pancakes with gold flakes called champagne pancakes which I still dream about. I've also tried their solid chicken and waffles as well as their lovely mimosas which are beautifully served with a fresh flower atop. I recommend this place too all my friends in town. On top of the amazing brunch, the motel theme is ON POINT. Go to the basement and you will see relics of past motels you've stayed at. Even the Britney and Christina music they play makes the experience more enjoyable. Get the pancakes you won't regret! read more

This is one of my favourite resturant's! Its so chic, and stylish inside, and overall super cute with the pink + green decor and 'hotel/motel' vibes. It makes you wonder how sweet it would be if there actually was a motel upstairs! I have been here twice, and the food is amazing! I mean everything tastes so good. I ordered The travel guide both times because I loved it soooo much. So yummy & healthy. The smashed avocado sourdough toast is prime here. The portions are BIG. The coffee is overflowing. Keep it coming. My friends got The bellman, Captain crunch french toast (so delicious, its super layered of goodness). They extended their hours and are open till 3pm everyday. I hope they open more locations!!!! Also the service is great, the staff is super kind and helpful. There is full AC on hot summers such as the one' we are having. They don't accept reservations buttttt I have never had to wait and I have gone at lunch time ie. 12pm and another time at 10 am when they opened. Highly recommend! read more

I love the mimosas here especially when they garnish with a Pansy flower! The kale salad and poached eggs are always my go to! The pancakes are delicious as well! Definitely one of the best brunch places in Hamilton! We go to Beverly's, St. Jame's etc pretty often, so we wanted to branch out a little bit and try Motel (especially after hearing about the gold speckled champagne pancakes). I love this little place, the decor and ambiance, and the retro atmosphere. There aren't too many places like this in Hamilton (yet) so it was definitely a treat! The 2 of us got there around 11am on a weekend and had to wait about half an hour for a table. I wanted to order the ooey ooey french toast ($16) which is Classic French Toast made with a sweet cakey textured bread, Melted Three Cheese Blend, Sugar Bacon & Served w/ Maple Syrup without the sugar bacon. The waiter tried to convince me I wouldn't like it, but I ended up ordering it with the substitution anyways and I really really loved the dish! The texture of the french toast was perfect and the contrast between the sweet and salty parts of the dish, along with the maple syrup was absolutely delicious. It definitely doesn't need the bacon bits to be complete! My friend ordered the class champagne pancakes ($19), which is Luxurious Cakes w/ Devonshire Cream, Raspberry & Pink Champagne Coulis & Gold Flakes and I really liked it was well! I tried quite a few bites. It's a little bit more expensive for brunch, especially if you get a cocktail but it's worth it for the amount of food, the insta-worthy picture you get out of it and the pretty special experience. Would definitely recommend this dish as well. I enjoyed my experience here and can't wait to come back to try the other menu items! They're not too keen on substitutions or changes to the recipes, but if you have a dietary need they'll do it for you! read more

Motel is one of Hamilton's newest brunch spots, owned by the same person as "School" (popular brunch restaurant) in Toronto. The decor is very cute and vintage, with pink walls, gold accented furniture, and fresh plants all around. My friend and I were seated right away, and we received great service! The menu had a selection of options including a cheesey french toast, captain crunch french toast, chicken and waffles, smashed avocado croissant, egg's benedict, burder, kale salad, chapagne pancakes, and others. I went for the Champagne pancakes ($19). The pancakes were very thick and fluffy, with raspberry coulis, whipped cream, maple syrup and butter on the side. They even had gold flakes sprinkled on top. The meal was superb, and I was very satisfied after! I think they were the best pancakes I have ever had, and I highly recommend trying them. They are quite filling so make sure to order this item when you have a large appetite. Will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu! read more

Terrible and extremely awkward experience. Ordered BLT without bacon, waiter turns around and tells me "we can't remove the bacon because we can't alter our dish" whereas last 2 times I've had it without bacon and they altered the dish. On the other hand they removed bacon from the loaded nachos which we ordered. Another weird thing was I asked for the egg to be given on the side instead of on top of the nachos and the server refused. Also coffee tasted like water and was very unpleasant. Now onto the experience with the waiter, seemed like he was acting frivolous and sort of giving smart remarks which seemed to come off as extremely rude. I believe since the last time either ownership has changed or something new has happened as in the past this was our go to for breakfast. All around disappointment this morning, quality, service and entire atmosphere was a complete turn off. Just a reply to the Owners' response: You guys really need to get your marketing team in order for bashing my review first and foremost. Just to educate you, the Yelp review was posted on the same day right after the google review was. It takes time for Yelp reviews to be visible online (can take 1-2 days). I myself am an owner of a small business and I am not attacking anyone, I'm giving an honest review of a bad experience which you guys somehow managed to make worse by replying in the manner you did here. I do my best to accommodate my customer to ensure he/she keeps coming back, in your case I can see that you guys won't cater to the Vegans, Muslims (who eat halal), and a bunch of other cultures, religions, etc. that would like to come experience your restaurant. I'm going to put this review to bed and wish you guys the best of luck! read more

Hands down one of the best brunches alongside table service I've had in Hamton! I loveee the old retro atmosphere, definitely has that Motel vibe with the decor and colour scheme. I don't find too many misses in Hamilton like I do in Toronto, so this was a nice refresher. I got the eggs benedict, which came with a fresh tasting kale salad on the side. My guest, the froot loops pancakes, which were heavy but soo filling and tasted just right with the amount of sauce over it. The service was amazing and super attentive! I will for sure be coming back here to try their other stuff. read more

Amazing food! Great service. Was not able to stay in, got our food to go! Absolute gem of a place! Highly recommend!

I am very satisfied with both the food and service of this restaurant. It's truly a gem in Hamilton. The coffee (apparently hand picked by the owner) is just amazing. It's not very strong and not bitter but not light either, just perfect. This is my first time here, when most other restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving Monday. The Bellman I had is the best brunch I have had for a long time. I will definitely go back to try the others. I have also tasted a piece of their fried chicken which my wife had ordered. I really wanted to love this place and was so excited to go...but it's another example of looking great on Instagram and not living up to real life expectations. Great food, super cool atmosphere. Highly recommend for lunch! I will definitely go again

V good food. V Instagrammable. But poor service. We came here on a Friday afternoon around noon and to my surprise; it was quite busy with 80% of tables full. There was only one server and one at the bar which was surprising considering how busy it was. The service was very abrupt. As small as the restaurant was, it was hard to flag him down for the basics such as ordering and paying the bill - I had to flag him twice to pay. I ordered the Vegan Guide was super delicious; the quinoa was mixed very well with the kale. It wasn't drenched in oil either which I appreciate. The brussels sprouts were warm; the sweet potato was a little cold; and the walnuts added a good crunch. Kale and quinoa wasn't super cold; just room temperature. The flavours complimented each other and added to the plate; a very well done salad. One of the best ones that I had and worth the $16. However, it took approximately 40 mins for the food to come. The server explained that, because we ordered the pancakes a little later, it took a little while for the food to come since it came together. Regardless, 40 mins for pancakes and salad is not a good excuse. It didn't help that the server wasn't very friendly either. It's a shame that it took that long for the food to come; I would have loved to come back and try different dishes but given that we were on a time crunch and poor service just spoiled the ambience and the food. read more

I came back to try the Motel with my family on Family Day (hehe) to see if Motel was consistent from my last review. TIP: GET YOUR NAME ON THE WAITLIST! Call in before you come in! We were seated by the hour as they estimated. Motel is still a cute, little vibrant restaurant housed on Barton St. The menu hasn't changed very much but I really wanted to get exactly what I had last time. The prices still remain steeper than usual #HamOntBrunch prices. We ordered: 1. Tangerine Mimosa: They have a -$2 every Sunday & Monday for mimosas! This drink was delicious & they even added a few blueberries inside! However, $9 for one drink mimosa is a little pricey. 2. Chicken & Waffles: I don't know if today was an off day or if it's because I've been trying so many different chicken & waffles lately. The waffles was fluffy and I LOVE eating them with the vanilla-honey butter. The chicken itself was a little disappointing. The chicken felt like it was over-fried as the batter was 'burnt' and rock-solid, there also wasn't a lot of depth in the flavor of the batter. 3. Champagne Pancakes: The pancakes were light & fluffy and I love seeing the gold flakes they sprinkle across the dish. The service was excellent and the waiters were as attentive as they can be as the restaurant was PACKED. I don't think I'd be back as Hamilton has opened up so many more brunch options for a lower price. We paid: $100 + Tip - 3 Chicken & Waffles - Mimosa - Champagne Pancakes read more

One of the brunch gems of Hamilton. Highlights include generous portions, pretty MCM decor and dishes that appear quickly at your table. Too bad they rely too heavily on sodium and can't afford to staff up. Empty plates pile up and no one asks you if you need your coffee refreshed.
