The ambiance is kitchy and perfect. It reminded me of the golden girls, my facoeite show, and a motel, but all in good ways. It is all mimicking a motel. There is also an outside to sit and dine, but we stayed inside. The service was great. I got rhe fried chicken and Cajun fries. This waa gluten free and they had many items available gluten free. It was incredible. I enjoyed the hot honey and the aioli that came with. My fiance had the Brussels hash. It looked great. He enjoyed it. Definitely stop here if you are in the area. Visited in the spring for my birthday brunch with my family and also again with a friend for a late Sunday brunch. Both times the service was good and the food was excellent. If you're into fancy pancakes, be sure to try their champagne ones (don't forget to snap some content for TikTok lol) they taste as good as they look. Most recently I ordered the avocado toast breakfast and it was delish. Portions are also generous and I appreciate the variety of ingredients in the dishes as well. AMAZING brunch spot! The resto took safety measures seriously, it was also the perfect place to pamper ourselves after 2 hours of hiking. We ordered the tourist and the famous champagne pancakes. Both were delicious! The tourist came with greens, eggs, tater tots and fresh bread. The fluffy pancakes came with heavenly chantilly cream and raspberry coulis. Was tad disappointed because the online menu was not updated- they no longer served the cocktail I wanted so I ordered the pomegranate sangria instead.. Motel was a memorable stop. Yelp reviews made it sound too interesting to pass up and it definitely lived up to that promise. The plates were very stylish and tasty. The decor is evocative of a Miami or Las Vegas motel of the 1960s -- all that's missing is the swimming pool. The music, however, was more of a contemporary chill on the occasion of our visit. I was there on a Wednesday and they had a promotion on the Mimosas! $11 to just $6! The champagne pancakes definitely had the best presentation and it was also delicious! The portion was so big I had to take half home! The loaded nacho fries came with skinny fries (my fav) and was paired nicely with the tomato chutney! Oh my the food was sooooo delicious! Went here to celebrate my best friend's birthday since she's been wanting to eat here for a while. There are so many options and such a great variety! We ended up ordering the Strawberries & Cream Flapjacks and the No Tell Eggs Benny. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Maple strawberry compote was perfect and not too sweet, which I always fear when ordering pancakes. And the pancakes were so fluffy! It was pink with glasses build in to promote social distancing. They had room keys as tables which went with the vibe of a motel. The phone was a retro phone that they use for reservations. $21 for the infamous champagne pancakes TAKEOUT due to Covid. Seems like the prices went up a bit? Perhaps because the online system is managed by Door Dash and they need to take a cut. It's still quite fluffy and delicious, taking into consideration of some condensation from the take out boxes. I paid $25 including taxes and a $1 tip. A bit steep for just take out pancake. This pink palace is absolutely my favourite brunch location in Hamilton. They have the fluffiest pancakes with gold flakes called champagne pancakes which I still dream about. I've also tried their solid chicken and waffles as well as their lovely mimosas which are beautifully served with a fresh flower atop. I recommend this place too all my friends in town. On top of the amazing brunch, the motel theme is ON POINT. Go to the basement and you will see relics of past motels you've stayed at. This is one of my favourite resturant's! Its so chic, and stylish inside, and overall super cute with the pink + green decor and 'hotel/motel' vibes. I ordered The travel guide both times because I loved it soooo much. So yummy & healthy. The smashed avocado sourdough toast is prime here. The portions are BIG. The coffee is overflowing. We go to Beverly's, St. Jame's etc pretty often, so we wanted to branch out a little bit and try Motel (especially after hearing about the gold speckled champagne pancakes). I love this little place, the decor and ambiance, and the retro atmosphere. There aren't too many places like this in Hamilton (yet) so it was definitely a treat! The 2 of us got there around 11am on a weekend and had to wait about half an hour for a table. I wanted to order the ooey ooey french toast ($16) which is Classic French Toast made with a sweet cakey textured bread, Melted Three Cheese Blend, Sugar Bacon & Served w/ Maple Syrup without the sugar bacon. The waiter tried to convince me I wouldn't like it, but I ended up ordering it with the substitution anyways and I really really loved the dish! The texture of the french toast was perfect and the contrast between the sweet and salty parts of the dish, along with the maple syrup was absolutely delicious. It definitely doesn't need the bacon bits to be complete! My friend ordered the class champagne pancakes ($19), which is Luxurious Cakes w/ Devonshire Cream, Raspberry & Pink Champagne Coulis & Gold Flakes and I really liked it was well! I tried quite a few bites. It's a little bit more expensive for brunch, especially if you get a cocktail but it's worth it for the amount of food, the insta-worthy picture you get out of it and the pretty special experience. The decor is very cute and vintage, with pink walls, gold accented furniture, and fresh plants all around. My friend and I were seated right away, and we received great service! The menu had a selection of options including a cheesey french toast, captain crunch french toast, chicken and waffles, smashed avocado croissant, egg's benedict, burder, kale salad, chapagne pancakes, and others. I went for the Champagne pancakes ($19). The pancakes were very thick and fluffy, with raspberry coulis, whipped cream, maple syrup and butter on the side. They even had gold flakes sprinkled on top. The meal was superb, and I was very satisfied after! I think they were the best pancakes I have ever had, and I highly recommend trying them. Terrible and extremely awkward experience. Ordered BLT without bacon, waiter turns around and tells me "we can't remove the bacon because we can't alter our dish" whereas last 2 times I've had it without bacon and they altered the dish. On the other hand they removed bacon from the loaded nachos which we ordered. Another weird thing was I asked for the egg to be given on the side instead of on top of the nachos and the server refused. Also coffee tasted like water and was very unpleasant. Now onto the experience with the waiter, seemed like he was acting frivolous and sort of giving smart remarks which seemed to come off as extremely rude. I believe since the last time either ownership has changed or something new has happened as in the past this was our go to for breakfast. All around disappointment this morning, quality, service and entire atmosphere was a complete turn off. Just a reply to the Owners' response: You guys really need to get your marketing team in order for bashing my review first and foremost. Just to educate you, the Yelp review was posted on the same day right after the google review was. It takes time for Yelp reviews to be visible online (can take 1-2 days). I myself am an owner of a small business and I am not attacking anyone, I'm giving an honest review of a bad experience which you guys somehow managed to make worse by replying in the manner you did here. I do my best to accommodate my customer to ensure he/she keeps coming back, in your case I can see that you guys won't cater to the Vegans, Muslims (who eat halal), and a bunch of other cultures, religions, etc. that would like to come experience your restaurant. Hands down one of the best brunches alongside table service I've had in Hamton! I loveee the old retro atmosphere, definitely has that Motel vibe with the decor and colour scheme. I don't find too many misses in Hamilton like I do in Toronto, so this was a nice refresher. I got the eggs benedict, which came with a fresh tasting kale salad on the side. My guest, the froot loops pancakes, which were heavy but soo filling and tasted just right with the amount of sauce over it. The service was amazing and super attentive! Our daughter took us here for our 36 yr. anniversary. The food was fabulously awesome! Husband had the french toast with three different cheeses topped with bacon and egg and a side of homefries which he said was delicious. Daughter had the pancakes made with champagne and gold flakes. I had amazing hotcakes with delicious blueberries. The Mimosas were very tasty. Everything was beautifully presented. Highly recommend this place! It's not very strong and not bitter but not light either, just perfect. This is my first time here, when most other restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving Monday. The Bellman I had is the best brunch I have had for a long time. I will definitely go back to try the others. I have also tasted a piece of their fried chicken which my wife had ordered. V good food. V Instagrammable. But poor service. We came here on a Friday afternoon around noon and to my surprise; it was quite busy with 80% of tables full. There was only one server and one at the bar which was surprising considering how busy it was. The service was very abrupt. As small as the restaurant was, it was hard to flag him down for the basics such as ordering and paying the bill - I had to flag him twice to pay. I ordered the Vegan Guide was super delicious; the quinoa was mixed very well with the kale. It wasn't drenched in oil either which I appreciate. The brussels sprouts were warm; the sweet potato was a little cold; and the walnuts added a good crunch. Kale and quinoa wasn't super cold; just room temperature. The flavours complimented each other and added to the plate; a very well done salad. One of the best ones that I had and worth the $16. However, it took approximately 40 mins for the food to come. The server explained that, because we ordered the pancakes a little later, it took a little while for the food to come since it came together. Regardless, 40 mins for pancakes and salad is not a good excuse. It didn't help that the server wasn't very friendly either. It's a shame that it took that long for the food to come; I would have loved to come back and try different dishes but given that we were on a time crunch and poor service just spoiled the ambience and the food. read more

The prices still remain steeper than usual #HamOntBrunch prices. We ordered: 1. Tangerine Mimosa: They have a -$2 every Sunday & Monday for mimosas! This drink was delicious & they even added a few blueberries inside! However, $9 for one drink mimosa is a little pricey. 2. Chicken & Waffles: I don't know if today was an off day or if it's because I've been trying so many different chicken & waffles lately. The waffles was fluffy and I LOVE eating them with the vanilla-honey butter. The chicken itself was a little disappointing. The chicken felt like it was over-fried as the batter was 'burnt' and rock-solid, there also wasn't a lot of depth in the flavor of the batter. 3. Champagne Pancakes: The pancakes were light & fluffy and I love seeing the gold flakes they sprinkle across the dish. The service was excellent and the waiters were as attentive as they can be as the restaurant was PACKED. Went here with my sister a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Not sure I'll be back. The idea was great and loved the decorating details...but the whole place needs a DEEP CLEAN very very badly!!!! From the super grubby baseboards to the cloudy/dirty light fixtures to the dusty suitcases as you walk down the stairs to the really grungy washrooms! I saw the inspection paper with the pass on it...so hoping that means at least the kitchen is clean! But wow...the rest of it needs serious help. The food was fine. The service was "meh". Tried to get no whipped cream on my French toast (not a huge ask at all in my opinion) but was told they would do no substitutions. I understand not being able to change a whole dish...but whipped cream?! I ended up just having to scrape it all off...such a waste.
