I love a Swedish breakfast! So many lovely bröds.

Directly across from the 21 tram on the SL line. Extremely easy to use to get to Sickla. Also about a 30 minute walk into Gamla Stan (Old Town) which is great for tourists. The absolute BEST feature of Motel L is the free breakfast. Every morning there are so many options! Meats, breads, cheeses, pickles, vegetables, yogurt, toppings, and of course, classic Swedish cinnamon buns. I wake up every morning so eager to go down to breakfast. The rooms are plenty spacious for one person especially if you are traveling on business. My room had good wifi and a great shower (rain fall shower head!). I am overwhelmed by the staff's friendliness and willingness to assist me on my trip for work. Absolutely wonderful. I would stay again in a minute.

Our FABULOUSLY comfortable beds and groovy wall

We spent two nights at the motel L and were very happy with it. The decor is SUPER Groovy. We asked for a room with a view which we think means that we had a window. The view is of an industrial park but its a bright, quiet, cheerful room. The beds are SO COMFORTABLE. it's hard to leave them. Our room had everything we need and the shower was perfect - both a rain shower head and a Super-Wand. There is also a hair dryer in the room and plenty of electrical outlets. The first night we walked 3 doors down to the supermarket and created a very nice dinner in our room. The breakfast for $8.50 a person was ample and good value for Stockholm. Best part? The tram to town is LITERALLY right out the front door. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We LOVED Motel L. We stayed here at the tail end of Europe travels and we were elated to stay in such a nice place after a week of hostels and Airbnbs. I'd seen photos online and I was still surprised by how nice Motel L was - especially for the competitive pricing. We paid $103 a night, booked through Expedia. Lobby was large and has a small snack area, free coffee and tea. The room wasn't large but the bed was incredibly comfy and the bathroom floors were heated! You have to put a room key in the wall to turn the lights on - kinda threw us for a loop. Right next to the bus, we traveled everywhere with minimal walking. Grocery store and a few food places are within 3 minutes, we lucked out with this place!

We chose this hotel for the price but it's so much better than an average budget hotel. It's located a bit out of the center of the city, but there is public transportation right out front (and is an easy walk for walkers). The rooms were small but stylish and comfortable. There's a grocery store downstairs in the same building that we appreciated having nearby. I'd stay here again.

The bed really was like a cloud! And the room was clean... But... The front desk staff look like high school kids at their first day on the job. They don't know what they're doing. It seems this place spent all their budget on design and had nothing left for training. Too bad.

I figured the 15 minutes…read morefrom one rock to another would be a literal walk in the park but alas, my bags had doubled in weight and the sky was drizzling. It was overall very unpleasant lugging my too heavy bags over the uneven cobblestones with an umbrella occupying one hand. Anyway, Hotel Reisen faces the water, which would have been a wonderful view but I didn't pay for that so instead I got a still cute room facing the alleyway. I've got no complaints; everything was perfect about the room. The hotel has a lovely breakfast with a sort of deviled eggs and little tubes of fish that was included in my stay. Not a ton of food but surprisingly filling. There is a sauna and a cold plunge that requires a swimsuit which I didn't bring. I was tempted to buy a swimsuit I didn't really care for $180 or so but decided to buy lots of ground coffee from the gift shop instead. The gym was a small one room situation. The $200 for the 1hr Swedish massage that I was hoping to change my attitude about Swedish massage didn't change my mind. Overall, super cute. Great location. Would stay again!

She helped me get my preferred room type and was so kind in doing so. This hotel is very charming, in a historic building from the 1600s that used to be a 'semi-legal' coffee house, among other things, and the character practically bleeds through the walls. The underground sauna/cold pool/wellness area was amazing and honestly not like anything I've seen before. I cannot WAIT to come back and stay at Hôtel Reisen again next time I'm in Stockholm - tack så mycket, Annelise and team!

I read somewhere that there is a private tunnel that takes you all the way to the hotel, but you do have to exit the building and walk across the street in case that confuses anyone. I had a great stay for 2 nights while I was exploring Stockholm on my own. It was pretty close to everything I wanted to see and the farthest walk was 20 minutes away which really didnt feel like 20 minutes because everything was so scenic. The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast spread is pretty amazing. Huge shout out to Gigi for being absolutely incredible - she was super friendly and warm as soon as she greeted me to check me in. She also helped me figure out the early morning transportation because I wasn't sure if I could make my 6am flight if I left the hotel on the 4:20 Arlanda Express (spoiler: yes I did make my flight) haha and she was like a home away from home with her kindness and patience. Definitely recommend and really hope to be back to Stockholm again soon!

We walked from the hotel to the Vasa Museum which was awesome. The hotel was great. We had a suite with a huge bathtub and shower. Who really has time to soak in a bath? Well since we had it available and it was cold out, we took baths. They were great and relaxing. The hotel also had a great restaurant and bar downstairs which was great since we didn't want to have to bundle up to leave the hotel. We had burgers two days in a row for lunch, they were really good. The place itself is beautiful and service was great. We went down two nights for appetizers and drinks at the bar which was great as well. No complaints for the Radisson Blue from us.

The Cafe in the hotel was fantastic and convenient and offered a wonderful breakfast. The staff were also very kind. What we didn't love: apartment 5 was on the first floor and was very very loud. We heard delivery trucks coming in as early as 4:30 in the morning every day. We heard Tour groups walking right by our window every day at all hours of the day. If we opened the windows, the noise was very very loud. There was also a clock from the Stockholm church that rang 24 hours a day every 15 minutes. The bed in the apartment was two small Narrow beds pushed together. Unfortunately the shower did not drain and caused a lot of flooding in the bathroom every time we bathed. Anytime we used the bathroom automatic lights would turn on which would light up the entire apartment because there was glass around the bathroom near the ceiling. There was no way to control this. The lights would stay on for five minutes. There was a smell in the apartment that was similar to kitty litter which we were told was likely from the drains in the sink. Lastly a fire alarm went off one morning time is the fire alarm go off at 4:30am---we didn't hear this initially because we had earplugs on. Once we heard it we called the front desk staff and sadly they didn't answer---prompting us to get dressed and run across the street to notify them. One of the perils of wearing earplugs so you can sleep!! If you are assigned to apartment 5 we recommend ear plugs and a sleep mask over your eyes any time you attempt to sleep, flipflops for the shower as you will be soaked in water on the floor, a candle to freshen up the smell in the unit, and fans to try and remove the smell from the unit. This unit may be ideal for someone hard of hearing or deaf. Enjoy!!
