My wife had to cross the pond for business and I opted to tag along. Stockholm as a city is beautiful and clean. But it's cold, I guess it is what it is. We walked from the hotel to the Vasa Museum which was awesome. The hotel was great. We had a suite with a huge bathtub and shower. Who really has time to soak in a bath? Well since we had it available and it was cold out, we took baths. They were great and relaxing. The hotel also had a great restaurant and bar downstairs which was great since we didn't want to have to bundle up to leave the hotel. We had burgers two days in a row for lunch, they were really good. The place itself is beautiful and service was great. We went down two nights for appetizers and drinks at the bar which was great as well. No complaints for the Radisson Blue from us. read more

The juice bar is my favorite. I felt so healthy after drinking the beet/lime fruit juice. Everything here is fresh. Our favourite hotel, but what have they done to it...I am being very, very generous keeping at a 4* Nearly a year ago we stayed here as usual - but this time it was after our wedding in Sigtuna, while we visited friends and family Where to start...the 16th floor...it was all being redone...but we knew that beforehand We checked in, went to our room, unpacked, made coffee and...no working wifi, not till tomorrow. We bundled everything up and they moved us to a room along the corridor, which had...no working phone or safe - to be fixed...tomorrow They have turned a well-kitted out room into something that is now industrial and supposedly functional, but not practical. You could say its for the businessman...but what if its businesswoman! or if like us, you were staying a good number of days One drawer for clothes, a hanging space (see photos), meaning you have to pile clothes on what is now supposed to be where you put the suitcase. How could you hang your dresses or coats (especially in winter)? And, as you can see from the photos, you almost have to "walk like an Egyptian"... And the aircon was no more warm than cool - and noisy...and one of the new picture panels had screws in but it didn't fit The Hotel shouldn't have released the rooms so soon - and why change them to this?! We told the people on the desk - none of them understood, as none had been to see the rooms. They promised every day that someone would fix the aircon - they never did. We reminded them, they sent us fruit and things - nice, but still noisy = no sleep; and cold We did have a meal there one day - and it was super; main course and dessert, really good. Breakfast is always good. And of course a night cap in the bar upon return has always been the norm. The staff everywhere are always very good My wife has been there recently - no change to the room make up (and the staff still weren't aware what their rooms looked like)...but apparently they are about to redo the big entrance hall, the lovely bar and the dining area; switching it all around We return in 2 weeks time; will it be finished - and what will it be like? The hotel has great views, its very handily placed for our needs and we have been coming here for years...its always been good in every respect...we don't really want to go elsewhere Oh, but the one thing that has bugged us forever...if things are being changed downstairs, please can we have someone a bit more cheerful announcing the lift floors; the current voice is so miserable - its being miserable that keeps her happy, especially when she drones "going down"! read more

A really nice hotel located in the city of Stockholm very close to the central train station. If you get off the Arlanda express and follow the signs to Waterfront Conference center through the main station and take the escalator up its very close and a 5 min walk to the hotel. Just remember to stay within the train station past Lucette Cafe and not come out. The hotel is attached to the conference center and can be quite busy during peak check in and check out times. There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel which I did not try but it was busy every time I walked by. Around the corner you have nice dining options in nearby buildings or within the train station complex itself. Lucette, Wagamama and Griffins Steakhouse are three very nice options for a meal or drinks. The rooms are nice and well appointed. The bed is comfortable and the service is good. It is also relatively quiet and peaceful here. I enjoyed my stay here and was very happy with the room and it's cleanliness and so on. A nice hotel to stay in town. It's conveniently located close to the main parts of the city center. read more

Standard nice American chain hotel with AWESOME location right above T-Centralen station. We literally went from the airport to this hotel in less than 40min via Arlanda Express and a 5 min walk through the giant train station. We paid a little extra for a room with a view, which we thought was totally worth it. If I'm ever in Stockholm again, I'd be delighted to stay here again. read more

This is a nice mid-range hotel in downtown Stockholm. There is a conference center attached which makes it extra convenient if your purpose in town is to attend an event hosted onsite (which was the case for me, last month). This Radisson is also a lot nicer than most of its counterparts I've visited in the states.. The front desk staff is very kind and speaks English, wifi is reliable, food is decent, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable (although small), views are gorgeous, there are several common areas downstairs to chat with coworkers/friends -- and the shower water pressure is excellent. Being able to properly wash my hair is the one thing most hotel showers do not offer, so the Radisson Blu is extra awesome for that. If you're coming directly from the airport, there is a great bullet train that drops you off at the Central Station. It's a 5 minute walk to the hotel from the station if you know where to go. Just be aware that there are SEVERAL Radisson locations in Stockholm and it's very easy to get lost due to confusing signs and curvy streets. Your best bet is to ask the folks at the ticketing desk (in the airport) to give you directions to the Radisson BLU -- emphasize BLU -- from Central Station. Ask them to draw it on a map and explain it to you as if you were a child. I only say this because I was given incorrect directions by a half dozen strangers to the wrong Radisson(s) repeatedly, and wandered in the snow for an hour before I gave up and called a taxi. Also, I only had one small complaint re: this hotel.. tho it's not worth deducting a star: I was there for a week and housekeeping only restocked my mini fridge once which was a bummer. I lacked the energy to grocery shop for soda, after logging 12 hours on my feet at the conference, but would have gladly consumed it. So that's a good $50 they could have tacked onto my bill if the beverages were restocked daily. read more

The hotel was lovely and the service was good....the breakfast excellent, BUT it was HOT HOT HOT and the air conditioning didn't work in the room. I called room service and the fellow came up and claimed he "reset it" so it would work but it never did start blowing cold air. He claimed we wouldn't be able to hear a fan because the system was some kind of special energy saving system. We didn't hear the fan because the fan wasn't ON!!!! We burned up and couldn't sleep because of the heat. For two days, we sweated and tossed and turned. I'm all for eco-hotels, but they have to be comfortable too. Also, the European hotels are all into this open shower trend...where there is no door on the shower. Supposedly, the water isn't supposed to go all over the place because of the well placed glass wall....but it does go everywhere. The floor was always wet in the bathroom because there wasn't enough of a wall to keep the water in. It got all our toiletries wet. On the upside, the location was good and the breakfast was really nice. read more

After a long day, we decided to try the restaurant in the hotel for dinner. What a great surprise! We had seen Swedish meatballs in the Room Service menu and thought we should try them. They were not in the restaurant menu, but they agreed to make them for us. Ten meatballs that were ping pong ball sized, mashed potatoes, lingonberries, and pickles. Great meal and memorable. The reason for a stay in this hotel should be purely business related. Why? Because Waterfront is a hotel with a complete lack of soul or personality. The spotless rooms are equipped with a precisely calculated amount of soap, shampoo, tea bags etc and anything other than the minimum, whether it be e.g. furniture or lighting is left out. The information in the promotion of Waterfront - that all the rooms have view of either the city or water - is downright wrong. The gym "with daylight" is a tiny, tiny room with two treadmills (one broken), a cross trainer, free weights and a few other training equipments. Having to stand in a 50 m queue waiting to be seated for breakfast seemed to be a new experience to all guests in the line. How can a hotel as big as Waterfront not foresee and plan for a capacity bottle neck at breakfast time? So - for business the hotel is ok, especially for convents/seminars held within the premises. The newest addition to the Radisson Blu chain in Stockholm is located right by the central station and I would assume that Radisson will now take the chance to close and renovate the very run down Radisson Blu Viking that is less than 2 minutes walk away from this new hotel. The hotel is virtually connected to the central station (one has to walk outside for something like 10 meters) so very convenient when arriving to Stockholm. Granted the area around the central station is not the most charming but it provides easy access to most parts of the city. The service was friendly and quick when checking in. The hotel is new so everything has fresh feel to it and it follows the Radisson style with a more clean design so while it is new it does tend to look good. The room we had was decent sized but did not have the nice views of the water but on to the neighboring office building. That said I was not there for the view. The room had everything I wanted/expected with nice bathroom (good shower gel and shampoo), free wifi, kettle (coffee and tea), iron and ironing board as well as good space to work at the desk. Breakfast was very good, really a level above most other breakfasts with the option to order omelets, poached eggs (or eggs any other way) as well as very good smoothies and all the rest was fresh as well. Even when the breakfast room was busy they managed to keep things filled and kept the service at a good level. The hotel also has a nice gym that is free of charge. All in all a very good hotel that I would stay at a again if I need a hotel in central Stockholm. read more

Just got back from here. I didn't stay at this hotel, just ate at the restaurant. I ordered the baked cod and chocolate cake and both were very good. The waitress was nice as well. I was told that the food was traditional swede food so I was happy with that because I wanted to try Swedish food. read more

Went here for their Brunch, which they serve Saturdays and Sundays between 12 and 16. As many places in Stockholm you have to be ready to pay around 300 SEK for one of those occasions and this is not an exception, closing out at 295 SEK w/o drinks. My intentions were going here for a great meal with a great view. Unfortunately only one of my wishes were about to get fulfilled, and it wasnt the view. I had a reservation to be done in advance to secure a nice spot. But when we arrived, they said they didnt accommodate the seats by the window unless its breakfast. Felt kinda weird, but the seats were left empty during the whole brunch, although the breakfast was long gone over. This forced us to focus on the food, and it was quite an variety. They have the standard kit with bacon, scrambled eggs and sausage. But also some thin sliced flank steak, meatballs and pork. If you are not into meat, they had a great salad table, bread and pancakes to pump the blood sugar levels. Once you are finished with this, you can gormandize on the large dessert table to pop your top. This is a good brunch for a fair amount of money here in Stockholm. And although it def. will satisfy all your needs, it wont give you something extraordinary out of the box. read more

It was a really beautiful hotel, the lobby and bar had some nice details I appreciated. The check-in was easy and fast, but when we arrived to our room we found they had given us 2 beds instead of the king-sized we had booked. A quick trip down to the desk and it was fixed. The room was pretty small, but well planned with big windows and a decent view (we stayed at the 8th floor). I think it would look amazing higher up, though. The bar had a DJ, which was weird, but the music was good and not loud. We drank some delicious drinks, but be aware that they are somewhat pricey. Breakfast was great! So much to chose from, both hot, cold and drinks. Overall a welcoming hotel I can recommend. read more

More like 3.5. After so many great reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to give Radisson Blu Waterfront a try. There are a few other Radissons in the area; however, this one is definitely the nicest due to modern facade of the building. PROS: Location: located right outside/via Stockholm's central station (T-Centralen). You can actually get to the hotel through the station, or you can find it outside as soon as you exit. This is the main selling point of this hotel, as you don't have to take a taxi to your hotel (Note: taxis are very expensive in Stockholm). Convenient for hopping on the subway, or even trains to different cities for day trips. Service: The service at the front desk was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They all speak English extremely well. CONS: Rooms: Spacious. With a standard room booking, you will get two bunk beds instead of one queen or king bed. Washroom: The washroom was very modern, but because the surface of the floor was designed as flat, with only a tiny concave area underneath the shower head, there was water everywhere. Towels had to be put on the floor to prevent overflowing. Cool concept, poor design. Other Annoyances: Iron didn't function properly. It leaked water everywhere and it was a huge nuisance. Blow dryer also didn't function properly. There was a problem with the plug, and although the concierge sent the technician to fix it--it was not fixed. I was forced to go into another room to get ready the next morning and blow dry my hair. I wasted about an hour of my day with blow dryer annoyances, and when you want to see a city---as the saying goes, "Ain't nobody got time for that." read more

Stayed here over the 2017 Easter weekend. It is conveniently located right by the Central Station, in fact the Arlanda Express is barely a 5 minute walk away, Gamla Stan is around 15 minutes walk away. The hotel feels fairly new and our room was immaculate, the staff were also very helpful and professional. The breakfast is worth having it is included in your hotel as there is a huge selection, I also liked the beer at the hotel bar but as it was Sweden it was a little expensive. read more

Great hotel -great prices. Right near the airport train shuttle to take you from downtown Stockholm. The hotel is clean, the service is friendly. When I filled out a survey for how they could do better, there wasn't really anything that was glaring. So I suggested free water bottles as it's always convenient for travelers (even though we use reusable bottles - and generally don't take those free bottles). But they stated they have some of the best tap water in the world. You know what? They do. Bring your reusable bottles and enjoy the awesome Scandinavian water. read more

This place was very well-located steps away from Stockholm Centralstation, with helpful and professional staff, and nicely designed rooms aesthetically speaking, but my husband and I were both confused as to the bizarre lack of efficiency in design. Lots of wasted space left hardly anywhere for us to put away our clothes or other items, so we basically lived out of our suitcases instead, which was somewhat annoying. read more

Rooms were adequately big and very clean. It's located in the heart of the city center - opposite Central Station. The staff were very helpful and had a relaxed attitude. The only negative thing I could find was that I wasn't very impressed on the burger I had in their restaurant - was kind of plain. Didn't have the chance to sample their breakfast menu though. This is my favorite hotel in the world. Unpretentious, yet one feels immensely cared for. The rooms are a good size, with comfortable bedsand seating and a great shower. The breakfast buffet is out of this world. The bar is top notch with staff who have a sense of humor and attend to you with alacrity. The staff, from maids to manager, treat everyone with a dedication and level of attentiveness (whether you are asking for directiobs, for an extra towel, or to store luggage, charge your phone, inquire about train or bus service) that shows you how important you are to them. This attitude is the same whether you are a tourist family with kids, business travellers, elderly folk, or college aged kids with backpacks. We loved our first stay so much that we returned a week later to get cossetted and spoiled. read more
