After driving and calling around for THREE hours trying to find a place to stay in the greater area (every place was full, or had awful reviews about roaches and nightmarishly dirty rooms, including this one) -- I came here as a last resort. It was too hot to camp or sleep in the car. 106 degrees and muggy, hot, oppressive August in Oklahoma even at 3am... cross country trip! I was pleasantly surprised. The desk lady was helpful, the room was quite clean, and the bed was super comfortable. I did not have any bug problems (thank God!!) and got a really good night's sleep. Free wifi. It's a Motel 6. Dog-friendly. Free Coffee. I carry my own soaps. That's all I need. read more

The hotel room was old and not very clean. The sheets weren't placed over the bed. There was only 1 towel and 1 wash cloth for 2 people. The pillows were surprisingly completely flat. We went to the office to get assistance when we got there and had to wait because no one was in the office. Also, in the morning there was still a sign up that they would be back. It took over a half hour to find someone to check out. The call bell was disconnected and therefore didn't work. The fridge in the room was unplugged so it wasn't cold and took a long time to start to chill. The yard had broken furniture around as well as regular furniture just around near the rooms in the back of the motel. I wouldn't stay there again. read more

We stayed at this location for only one night. If I had seen it in the daytime I would not have chosen this hotel. The hotel looked like it was ready to be demolished. The shower fixture was falling off the wall. The sink fixture was loose and ready to fall off the sink. The towels were a dingy gray color. The mini fridge and the microwave were disgusting. OK it is not the Ritz. You aren't going to be petforming brain surgery because you stayed here. It is Motel 6. The toom are clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Has a fridge and microwave and really good bed. The weekly rate is very good. Could use some better pillows but we will be staying here ahain. read more

After much research, I found this bad boy online while driving through the wonderful state of OK. We thought Sallisaw might be a fun town to stop in for the night, and we were wrong. The hotel is located across from a Dollar General which is convenient and near Longs Donuts which was good, but other than that, Sallisaw was kind of disappointing. Enough about the town though, on to the hotel. We were greeted at the front desk by a super friendly woman who checked us in and gave us our key and remote. Yes, I said remote. You get that at checkin. I was happy to see that the rooms have been mostly renovated, new sheets, floors, sinks etc, but the shower hadn't been touched. NBD. For a night and for the price, this was definitely one of the highlights of the cross country trip. I will now try & search out renovated Motel 6's. read more

Was driving from California back to Georgia and after about 20 hours on the road none stop I decided to stay at this motel. Rooms are clean and decent for the price, freezing cold AC, steaming hot shower and clean sheets on my king size bed. Around $60 for the night & I have no complaints read more

Friendly reception after driving all day from Georgia. I have paid more for so much less in a place to rest for the night. The rate was much less than I expected but the room was so much more than I expected. Clean appearance and a fragrant and pleasant room odor. Comfortable bed and a comfortable room. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and the room had been remodeled. Bathroom was clean, showed a little age but everything worked. Vinyl or wood floors instead of carpet which was AWESOME! Dog friendly and the staff was very nice and helpful. I think there were a couple of fast food options near by. We were just looking for a cheap clean place to sleep before continuing our trip and it was PERFECT for that. Clean area- felt safe. read more

Absolutely disgusting!!!!!!!!! The pictures online seem to be when the room was first remodeled and NOT how it looks currently!! Walked in to the non-smoking room to a very strange/unpleasant smell. Almost smells like urine and smoke. The floor was absolutely filty with hair from previous ppl and crumbs, they definitely DID NOT SWEEP! so f*****g gross!!!!! They suck! Way too overpriced. Our room did not get cleaned when we would leave. Not enough towels or washcloths!!!, no complimentary shampoo/conditioners. Tiny tiny soaps. They say "we'll leave the light on for you". The room was pitch black when we got to it. The microwave and refrigerator were not plugged in. Had to take out on own trash. No maid service even though I saw one walking around when we went to leave. Could not plug the drain in the tub to bathe my son, had to use a washcloth!!! There wasn't anything on to watch on tv very very very basic cable!! Don't come here. The price I was quoted online was WAY higher than what I wound up paying!! Do not stay here!!!! Acceptable, sort of. There were flies in the room initially until we killed them. Bath tub stopper was busted. Laundry on site was nice but $3 per load for both. Non-smoking room backed to a smoking and it was BAD. I have asthma and woke up the next morning with a cough. Fine for the money. read more

Dirty. Room does not appear to have been cleaned or linens changed. Found 5 long hairs when trying to get into bed. Then realize that the bed is completely untucked, like someone had been sleeping in it. Good thing I had pillows and a blanket in the car. The floors had nasty hair balls rolling all over. And if you take you shoes off to walk from the bed to the shower your feet end up black. I'm so disgusted by this experience I'm worried I won't be able to sleep for fear of getting crabs or something equally awful. read more

My grandmother and uncle broke down and used all of their finances. The hotel staff worked with them so well. A later check out than normally allowed and even comped a room. I'm not saying it will happen to everyone, so please don't mistake their kindness for weakness but I couldn't have imagined being so blessed by the kind people working at the front desk. The room had really dirty floors, looked like they needed a good bleach cleaning. The bathroom was hard to use due to the piss smell. It needed cleaned with bleach really bad. Or something to get rid of that smell. Do not ever go to this place. There has to be better places to stay. Microwave & frig were not plug in & the was hot when we got there. read more

This is my favorite Motel 6; I have stayed there several times. It is a small property; the rooms are all at ground level and exit to the parking lot. The automotive entrance and exit are both near the office. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The rooms all have "wood effect" floors. We had a micro-fridge every time we stayed. The last time we stayed, we had a large-screen TV with an AV port. The washer and dryer both work well; they cost $1.50 each and are located in a breezeway. There is a large grassy area to walk dogs near the truck parking. The post office, a bank, a small store, and several fast food restaurants are within easy walking distance. Sallisaw also has public transportation -- 918-775-7433. read more
