We were on vacation and decided to stay here. I liked that it was right off the freeway. We booked this hotel on orbitz 2 nights for $150. It's a very basic hotel with 3 stories but for the price I think it's reasonable. When you check in there's a computer you can use, a microwave, and vending machines. The room had two beds and a desk. Nothing fancy but definitely all you need. The hotel was older but clean. It's right next to restaurants. For the price I would definitely return.

"Eek! Methinks not" is right! I decided to stay here from the great ratings here on Yelp! I didn't actually read the reviews (TOTALLY MY BAD)! I honestly don't know how this place can get 4 or even 5 stars after my stay.. First off, checking in wasn't bad. The receptionist was very friendly, lobby area is small but clean. They have free wifi and ample parking so that was a plus. They also let pets stay free which is awesome since I was traveling with my small dog. We get to our room.. I lightly smells of smoke - even though there are no smoking signs all over the place. Okay, whatever. The room looked decent enough. The floors were linoleum but if you're not going to sweep it, might as well just have carpet. There were leaves and what looked like some type of moss that came off of someone's shoe on the floor and positioned as if it was swept partially under the bed.. We pulled off the top sheet to lay down and ONE LITTLE PIECE OF THAT MOSS STUFF WAS ON THE BED. Threw it on the ground and laid down.. The pillow smelt like smoke too. WTF! But it was light so I think it's just forever embedded in the room and linens. First thought, did they even wash this? They must have, right! Okay, I'm just tripping out. While we're on the topic of the bed I must say what a huge lack of bedding! There was that gross bed cover (which isn't even a comforter), the top sheet and one unfitted bed sheet. That was it! So yes, it was a cold night. We turned the AC off but didn't quite think to turn the heater on. I moved our car to the parking lot area we could see from our window. There were these two sketchy guys smoking out side when we arrived so I wanted to keep an eye on the car. I periodically looked out the window and from 6-9 one of the guys had left but the other was still outside walking back and forth smoking and talking on the phone. I was so paranoid I probably checked on the car 15 times through out that night. ':\ The bathroom itself was fine. Water worked well and was warm. The only thing is that a couple of the towels had hair strands like woven into it. While walking to the diner in the parking lot, one of the rooms next to us reeked of pot as we passed by. Heh. We kept hearing people walk around outside and stomp in the room above us. We just got bad luck there. Overall, yeah, we paid $70 something but I would gladly pay double and stay somewhere nice. All I wanted was a bed I could sleep in comfortably and I couldn't do that. It was cold, the bedding sucked and I felt itchy (though I'm sure that part was in my head), I kept hearing people, kept checking on my car because of that sketchy kid walking around. After driving for 8 hours I just wanted to sleep. I couldn't even get that. Also, I will gladly pay for my dog to stay at a hotel with me if it means it'll be cleaner. I know better next time. No more motels for me.

Some how using the words "upscale" and "Motel 6" in the same review seems a little strange. Motel 6 seems to be trying to move upscale. This motel is about 6 years old and located off I-5 in northern Roseburg in the middle of Oregon. You could put a Best Western or Comfort Inn sign on with out changing anything. My room was very large with two king beds and lots of room. The bath room was wonderful. WiFi free at this property (other Motel 6 charge $3.00 and it only worked for one computer), Coffee and tea 24 hours a day not just in the morning. Even though this is a upscale Motel 6 it still is BYOS, bring your own shampoo.

    HERE IT IS!!!!

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Gross. You get what you pay for. Sometimes... My wife noticed on one of the box springs. One one of the beds that were in our room. Dried "male seminal fluid"!!!!! REVOLTING! I only give this a one star because there's not a -1 star rating. Again avoid this place it's disgusting.

A bottle opener in the bathroom!

Excellent accommendations and ammenities; fast service, friendly and professional receptionist staff and manager and also affordable prices. Breakfast was free and delicious; coffee was also fresh and great. Hot tub and pool was super clean and well-maintained. Bedrooms with queen bed, closet, drawer, restroom, refrigerator, microwave, small table and television were very clean and neat. Low AC also worked pretty well and functioned properly. Highly recommended and absolutely worth it! Totally staying here again eventually when I visit Douglas County, Roseburg, OR and Crater Lake National Park.

But how ever, this stay at this best western has been the most disgusting, horrible, stay that i have ever had in my lifetime!!! We reserved rooms for a wedding and some of the guest came in on a Wednesday and left on a Saturday. Their rooms were never serviced in any way no clean linens, towels, nothing. Wow theirs 2 adults 3 kids for 3 days and no clean towels gross!! The floor in the rooms were so gross and dirty kids had to play on the bed after bath cause u would have to wash mud of their feet before bed again.. then you get a kitchen room where you can prep items for the wedding ( ir they know we were their for wedding booked mnths ahead) in that room and you pay over 300.00 for 2 nights and you get a non working dish washer, garbage disposal don't work, sink fills up with water dnt drain front desk says well at least you have 1 side that works!! Coffee pot don't work, no kitchen towels, drawers in fridge you have to force open. Air conditioner you have to trip the test box on plug in for it to work for 5 to 10 min no working lights in hallway. You have to take a shower bath how disgusting cause your feet are like mud cause the floor arnt clean!! I will never stay here again and i will make sure everyone i know that goes to roseburg don't go to best western!! The only clean thing about this best western was the swimming pool.. you can walk across the parking lot and have cleaner feet then walking in your room... If I could give a negative review number it would be a negative 5.. To top it all off they wanted to give one group of ours that checked in a room that was dirty!! They hadn't even cleaned from the previous people. How rude we had to tell them no!! The room isnt ready!!

I was a bit shocked to exit the 4th floor elevator to find an open air walkway to all rooms. Upon entering the room, which seemed clean but dated, I was surprised to see a door at the back of the room with a deadbolt. There was a balcony out there with chairs and a small table. It was dark, but I could see reflections off the water four stories down. A lake? The pool and work out space is modern and inviting. The lobby fireplace is quite the impressive feature. Decor there is beautiful. What a unique property! So glad I stayed here. Breakfast was closing down when I finally got to it in the morning. But coffee was hot and scrambled eggs still warm. We had stayed here before a few years back and it was good with wonderful views. This time it was like arachnophobia. The first day we didn't get in to sleep until too late so pretty much just went to bed. The second night we were back earlier and that is when we noticed just how many spiders we had slept with. Now to begin the dog friendly rooms are on the bottom floor outside of the main hotel while still connected. We had room 100, which was the end room. When we checked in and I opened the drapes a spider fell out of them onto the a/c panel but mv husband came and took care of that as I HATE spiders. No biggie it happens right...well forward to the second evening I was sitting sideways on the bed and a spider ran across my pillow in my bea....um no thank you... I killed it and wasn't happy. My daughter then said to look above my headboard and there was another type of spider on the wall. I told my husband oh no we need to change rooms and he said no way it was just two spiders ...hahaha. About an hour later my daughter went into the bathroom to shower and when she came out she said there was a spider in the shower and did I see all the spiders in the bathroom...um no. So I went into the bathroom and above the light fixture above the sink you could tell had not been cleaned in ages and there were in fact a few smaller dead spiders and two daddy long legs they don't bother me as they don't really move), then she told me to look in the door frame and again another daddy longleg. My husband was already in the covers going to sleep and said it's fine we aren't moving cause we are leaving in the morning. I was ready to sleep in the car but it was like 34 degrees outside so that wasn't the best idea. So turned off the lights( mistake) and my daughter and I started to watch tv. Lights off, spiders out...we counted 18 spiders in our room that night. As you can imagine I didn't sleep well and covered my head in a shirt lol. On checkout we told the lady at the desk about the issue and the spiders and unfortunately she wasn't surprised. She was very nice and said that yeah the end rooms seem to get a lot of spiders...! asked why they don't use pest control to get rid of them I mean come on. There are ways to take care of this. I told her I didn't want to sleep in that room and she said she wouldn't have either with spiders. She gave us $30 off our bill and apologized. Let's just say I don't think I will be back to stay. I filled out the survey and at the end it asked if you wanted to be contacted by management but of course I never was and I also put a review on there form for their website but it was never published. The view was wonderful but the spiders ruined it all.

One elevator only, not only is it incredibly slow, it makes a weird grinding noise when the doors closing, like it's off track.... My room key kept deactivating (4 times)so imagine having to go all the way back downstairs after realizing so (I'm on the fourth floor), i'm visiting here for work, so I was exhausted and the elevator was taking so long I opted for the stairs. There happen to be heavy rains, and whether there is no gutter or it's damaged, because my window had just massive waterfall rain. Not sure if the window is not sealed properly or if there is something wrong with the AC unit as the floor underneath became completely soaked. Because of the storm as well, the TV cable cut out, I've stayed in many hotels and many different weather situations, and I have never had the TV go out with a note on the screen it's not working because of the rain.... When I used the air unit it made a loud clicking noise the wouldn't stop so I just had to make do without air flow. Odd that there was no body wash in the room and water gets a little warm definitely not hot and takes ages to even get to that level. Same with the sink, probably a little bit worse actually, I don't believe I ever got warm water. There are no "do not disturb" signs, I didn't sleep very well as I was super anxious that house keeping might try to walk in LOL. More of a personal issue I suppose, I guess what's weirder is housekeeping, didn't even enter my room when I was gone, which they would normally do in hotels if you don't have a "do not disturb" sign. Walls are so thin, I could hear my neighbors cell phone vibrate on desk and their child laughing. Thankfully their visit was not super long. Wouldn't stay here again, though
