I called in around 9am to make a reservation and Wendi (the Owner) gladly took us same day for a 12:30pm slot. I told her my boyfriend has some food restrictions like he doesn't like mayo so she was able to make some sandwiches without it. She asked if we want the Princess tea ($35 per head) or the Queen tea ($40 per head) so we chose the Princess set. An hour later we arrived to the The Painted Lady Tea house! Mostly street parking but it's not busy so it was easy to park in front the house. The house entrance had two doors but for some reason the first door you see is locked so you enter the right door side as their entrance. The ambiance of the place was super pretty like each section of the house had different themes. Wendi greeted us and said we can sit anywhere in the house. There was two other groups that was dining and noticed they were wearing cool hats so my boyfriend chose to wear a Jester hat and I chose to wear a frilly flower hat. I saw one group eating the Queen tea set so I asked Wendi if we can change our meal plan to that instead and she was able to make the last minute change. We chose to sit in the green room because it was very earthy, decorated with plants, and had small water fountains. Here is what's inside the modified Queen tea set meal: Appetizer -2x Ginger scone -2x Lemon scone -English Tea -Side of sugar cubes -Side of creamer Entree -Croissant sandwich (Ham, cheese, tomato, leafy greens, mustard, mayo) -Egg sandwich -Curry chicken salad sandwich -6x cucumber cream cheese sandwiches *no mayo* -2x crusted egg quiche -Green grapes -Chocolate dipped tangerines -2x Chocolate crunchy dipped strawberries -2x Chocolate drizzled strawberries Dessert -2x Strawberry ice cream cake -2x Oreo cheesecake My boyfriend got a whole Croissant sandwich since the other sandwiches contained mayo. He ended up not liking it because he didn't know there was mustard in it so he just wiped it off and didn't want to ask for a new one. Most tea places I've been don't usually add mustard into their sandwiches so maybe next time I should've said no sauces or all sauces on the side. Their website menu didn't have any details of the sandwiches, it was very vague. I'm kind of sad he wasn't able to enjoy the other sandwiches with me so I wish there was more no sauce sandwich options or self serve sauces in the future but that's what I get for dating a picky boyfriend lol. I really enjoyed everything and loved the decor of the house! But I felt like the menu had too many sweets. I would be fine with just the scones, dipped strawberries, grapes, and oreo cheesecake but the extra dipped tangerine and strawberry ice cream cake were too much. Maybe I suggest make the strawberry ice cream cake and oreo cheesecake to be bite sized. It would be nice if there was a good ratio of savory like maybe add chips, soup, cheese cubes, or other charcuterie board savory snacks. I still recommend this place! Room was not cramped and had a little balcony overlooking a really cute park area with a path along a stream. The only issue I had was with the electrical outlet located near the hairdryer. It was covered so I had to use an outlet across the bathroom near the shower. Not a big deal for me. They need to get that fixed though. The breakfast was fine, nothing fancy. The pet area is beautiful. I enjoyed walking my dog there. We will return in two weeks.

Terri and Jim showed up in the morning with the most amazing cranberry scones..fresh and warm from the oven and a spectacular array of fresh fruits. After breakfast Ziggy and Cassie, two of the dogs were our guide on our walk. The property is beautiful and tranquil. The location of the flats is in the heart of Roseburg-- with eclectic and vibrant restaurants and shops surrounding it. Parking was extremely easy to find and the door to the flats was also so easy to find. Upon entering into the flats, you are greeted with a darling brick wall with framed photographs of the "Bell Sisters," whom the flats are named after. It was so fun to see the history of them-- it made the stay that much more special! We stayed in the "Minnie" flat and it was thoroughly exceptional. The kitchen/living room was much larger than I was expecting, with ample room to move around and enjoy the space. We couldn't decide if the bathroom or the bedroom were our favorite of the spaces-- with the most spectacular shower (or should I say shower room, considering how many shower heads there are). The sheets in the bedroom were to die for-- simply feeling like pure softness on your skin. What really made our stay feel so special and so romantic were the personal touches that the owners put on it-- including a heart on the bed with rose petals and a personal note, a lovely bottle of locally made wine that was chilling in the fridge, and delicious chocolates. Staying here on our wedding night made our entire day that much more special. If you are getting married in Douglas County or just looking for a romantic, luxurious stay, I could not recommend the Bell Sister Flats more! We cannot wait to come back.

The motel room had a full kitchen: sink, stove/oven, microwave, and a full sized fridge. There were 2 beds. We used only one. It seemed clean, a bit outdated, but all we needed was a place to rest our heads and shower. Complaints: would have been better if our curtain didn't have a hole to latch on to a screw in the wall for privacy. You might want to expand the curtain rod and invest in wider curtains. The shower knob was tricky to figure out how to make the water warm. I wanted to utilize the air conditioner, and get my money's worth as far as enjoying the air, but the air conditioner never got cold.
