What a wonderful spot. Quaint, detailed elegance. We stayed two nights in the 'Brenner' suite and it was fabulous! Well appointed two-room (bedroom and living/kitchen areas), coupled with lots of thoughtful touches. Wonderful, comfortable clean bed, duvet. Spotless bathroom with multiple towels, shower, bath mat, soaps, shampoo, etc Full length mirror. Large walkin closet with ample storage, hot tub towels, etc. Kitchen stocked with tasty items such as coffee, teas, biscotti, oatmeal, orange juice, milk, complementary bottle of local (and tasty!) wine, etc. Fresh home made delightful breakfast. Today was mushroom eggs, fresh fruit, homemade muffins, pastries, etc). Living room has inviting fireplace, sofa and TV. Outdoors is a wonderful barn with a complementary beer keg for tasing local hops! Proprieters are delightful, thoughtful and available if needed! Loved this and will stay here in the future when our travels take us to this area (relatives in the local area) . Well done. Loved it! Thanks! read more

This BnB was a delightful surprise to me as my husband booked it and I didn't see the photos beforehand. The setting is rural, with cows grazing in pastures across the road. There are two enormous hydrangeas outside the front porch. There is also a wonderful intimate flower garden, and a hot tub right outside the small apartment we stayed in (there are no other rooms for visitors). Inside, there's a well equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a walk-in closet (with bathrobes) and a small living room with a gas fire in winter. The bathroom is big and pleasant, and the shower has handrails and a place to sit. And chocolates, a bottle of white wine in the fridge, and free beer in the barn. The living room and bedroom both have ceiling fans. The heat-it-yourself strata was delicious for breakfast as were the fruit and muffins. We were very comfortable here and felt well cared for. There's free wireless, a TV, and Scrabble. What else could we possibly need? Thank you, Sherry! read more

Amazing place. First thing you should know, this is about a 15 minute drive from downtown Roseburg, out in the country a ways. Extremely peaceful, apart from the occasional cow mooing! If you're looking for peace and quiet, either for a romantic getaway/ or a place to meditate alone - this is perfect. Sherry is an amazing host and doesn't miss the slightest detail. The bungalow/ cottage is the cleanest place I've ever stayed and was decorated how someone would want their home as opposed to a"just a rental " We had a full kitchen with everything you need to cook for yourself. That's said, Sherry provided a delicious egg and sausage breakfast dish with fresh organic fruit and muffins. In the fridge was orange juice / sparkling water and organic milk. The bed was very comfy with crisp high quality linens and towels. Bath robes in the walk in closet were a great add. The living area has a TV with as many channels as anyone would need. Not sure why anyone would want TV when you can walk outside to the tranquillity of the gardens. Lovely seating areas with a water feature, gas fireplace and flowers and plants. We played bocce ball with a beer in hand which is complementary from the keg in the barn. I highly recommend CH Bailey house if you want to escape for a few days and enjoy peace and quiet. On our recent wine country tour through the Umpqua Valley, my mom and I stayed at this wonderful B & B. It was a beautiful old home that made me extremely jealous! This house was decorated so tastefully, think your classy rich grandma, not overdone in Victorian fluff. It was clean and warm with all the amenities you would hope for. When we arrived we were shown to our room and told to feel free to enjoy local wine, sodas, bottles water etc which were offered at no charge. There were robes in our spacious closet, and extra blankets in the gorgeous armoire. Also a small arrangement of fresh flowers were awaiting us in our private sitting room. The shower had a good amount of water pressure, and was spotless. You sign up for breakfast on the chalkboard for what hour you'd like to eat at, and coffee or tea is set outside your door an hour before your requested time. The host served us broiled grapefruit with ginger (all on cute little china plates), then two poached eggs on rosemary toasts with prosciutto, arugula, and a mustard vinaigrette. Finishing with a warm, freshly baked banana chocolate chip muffin. This was like staying with the local Martha Stewart and so much better than staying in a stodgy hotel. My mom and I both really enjoyed and will definitely return! read more

My partner and I just stayed here for the first time and loved it! Sherry was a wonderful hostess and we felt very well cared for. This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and the standard has been set high. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, healthy and filling. The bed was super-comfortable and I slept the best I have in a long time. We were the only guests so no noise to bother us. I would imagine that if there were other guests a bit of noise would carry. The proprietors do ask guests to respect quiet hours at night. There's a hottub that I am sad to say I never did try out. Instead I relaxed, soaking in the sun, in an adirondack chair in the back yard. Green hills all around, quiet except for the occasional sound of a chicken or a bee buzzing by. All in all, my stay here was exactly what I needed and I look forward to returning! read more

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. I was floored by the hospitality and attention to detail on Sherry's part. I arrived late, and Sherry was very gracious getting me and and settlled. Throughout my stay she went out of her way a number of times, including packing me a to go breakfast. Nobody does that. Though it's an old place and it was full while I was there the noise didn't carry really at all. I slept like a baby except, one that actually sleeps. I'm a new parent so I don't really feel that phrase "sleep like a baby makes a helluva lot of sense." Anyways, where were we. The breakfasts were dynamite, the coffee was really good and always available. This is the only place I'd stay in Roseburg. read more

This place was a piece of heaven, even the drive through the beautiful Oregon country was breathtaking off the main road. I highly recommend staying at this place because the owners are so friendly, the rooms are amazing with TVs and some with gorgeous views. I love the backyard with a hot tub and a pretty garden. I felt like royalty and did not want to leave. I would definitely return! read more
