They don't keep the street out front clean now and there was litter. It's a VERY charming place if you like that sort of thing but we wound up cutting our stay there short and going to The Hampton Inn nearby

I've been having a hard time writing this review. I have really mixed feelings about my experience…read moreat The Lily Inn. I'll start with the pros: The Inn itself was beautiful and charming. It's 3 floors, with a sitting room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor. A hangout room on the 2nd floor and bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There was an issue with the room we originally booked, and Candace upgraded our room for us.l before we even arrived. Our new room was great. It had two parts to it, a king-size bed, futon, and a beautiful bathroom. Candace and the Inn were also accommodating , as we booked on a third party site not realizing kids under 8 were not allowed and they allowed us to bring our 1 year old (he loved the place, too, btw). The bed portion of our bed and breakfast experience was wonderful. The con would have to be the breakfast part. So, first, we should have read their website before booking, as it does state that they serve continental breakfast during the week, and we stayed on a Monday night. As disappointed as we were, that's on us. However, what we were served wasn't even that, in my opinion. There were muffins, some grab and go granola bars, oatmeal packets, and some fruit (apples and tangerines). We were pretty disappointed in the spread. The breakfast options also stayed out all day and also played the roll of the snacks they offered. So when we arrived, the blueberry muffins and granola bars were out in the kitchen to take. We were offered the same thing for breakfast the next morning. Another reviewer stated that this felt more like an AirBnB, and I agree. I think one of the special aspects of a bed and breakfast is not only the charming atmosphere (check, they got that right) but receiving a nice breakfast in the morning. I get weekdays can be slow, so I can forgive a continental breakfast, but there should at least be some yogurt or toast or bagels or something. So, we will settle on 3 stars. The bed portion was a 4/5 star experience, but the breakfast was a 1.

The one entrance from the outdoors into our hallway smelled strongly of cigarettes and the hallway once in the building smelled of Marijuana. Which was totally off putting. Don't even think of sleeping on it. Book 2 queen beds if u absolutely need a second bed. The kitchenette has a large standard refrigerator. Did not come with dish soap but I already bought my own baby bottle soap. Place seemed fairly clean but carpet made my kid's feet dirty so definitely try not to walk around barefoot. Bathroom is kinda small. Only has shower option. Can't close the door properly if a towel is on the floor in front of the shower. Hot breakfast was decent with a good variety of food. Certain meat options and potatoes change daily. Scrambled eggs is always there. There's also yogurt, cereals, waffle maker, pastries, bagel, bread. There's indoor pool and jacuzzi, gym, outdoor basketball court all of which I never used cuz I was out most of the time.

Avoid this place. Worst Marriott and customer service I've ever experienced at a hotel!!…read more I booked through Expedia and called the hotel(around 10pm) to tell them I would be checking in late. They mentioned it was no problem as they have 24/7 service. When we got there the lights were off. The front desk receptionist did not have a name tag or anyway for us to know he worked there. He immediately told me my reservation was canceled as it was the next day(2am) without even asking my name or confirmation. This is absolutely ridiculous because we paid for the night up until 11am the next day. He claimed his name was Devonte and told us to leave that he could not service us. We didn't argue and left. This hotel was unsafe and unprofessional. I contacted Expedia for a refund and they denied it due to Devonte claiming to be a manager and saying law enforcement was involved and we harassed him. None of this happened. There are cameras and others were there. I spoke with the real manager Paras he said to speak to Expedia for a refund. He didn't even apologize on behalf of his employee. I told him to check the cameras to clearly see no law enforcement was involved and no harassment was done from our end. Disgusting. Avoid this place. Worst customer service. Never experienced anything like this. I will be contacting Marriott corporate to have them review the camera footage and the unprofessionalism of this location and Devonte.

I don't normally write reviews, but the experience I had at Red Roof Inn Philadelphia- Oxford…read moreValley on Saturday June 27, 2026, was so awful and unprofessional that I feel the need to warn anyone considering booking this hotel. We arrived at approximately 5:30 PM to a locked office and a sign saying someone would be back in 10 minutes. I then proceeded to wait over 30 minutes while my three small children grew increasingly impatient. Then at 6pm I was confronted by Laura who proceeded to chastise me for knocking on the office door. When I questioned why she locked the office for over 30 minutes, she argued "It was less than 10 minutes." When I said you can just apologize for making everyone wait so long her response was "No, I'm not going to do that." From there things only got worse. I had booked two nights, Friday 6/26 and Saturday 6/27; however, because it was forecast to rain all day 6/27, we decided to forfeit Friday Night and only stay for one-night 6/27. When I showed Laura my reservation confirmation she said, "Your reservation was canceled when you did not show up on 6/26, so you do not have a room for tonight, and you will not get any refund." The idea that I had paid for 6/27, but they were refusing to offer me a room I paid for or offer a refund was insane to me and nothing short of theft. I then proceeded to drive around looking for somewhere to stay for the night worrying that my family including my nine-month-old son would have to spend the night sleeping in our van. Thankfully we were able to find a hotel, but the cost for the night was over $300 dollars. I have been going to hotels for over three decades and I have never experienced this level of rudeness, unprofessionalism, and shady business practices. I will be taking this matter up with the Better Business Bureau as well at Red Roof Inn Corporate, but I wanted to warn anyone considering this hotel about what awaits you if you book a room at Red Roof Inn Philadelphia- Oxford Valley.

We ended up staying here only because the Holiday Inn express that is literally across the road from it, lost our reservation and put us in a lurch at 1030 PM. They didn't provide nearly enough towels (two towels for four people) and the pillows were flatter than pancakes. The floor was also sticky. Hair was on the bathroom walls, and the room smelled musty. The linens were stained, and the bedspread had a cigarette burn in it. The front desk person was also incredibly rude to anyone who is in the lobby at check-in. it was also the longest check-in process I've ever had at any hotel in my entire life. Staying at this red roof Inn reminded me of that Billie Eilish SNL skit for a hotel chain. Except the amenities only included "curtains on a stick" and "elevator".

When I set the deadbolt on the door, the post didn't slide into the slot at the door frame. I didn't feel safe. I could only rely on the standard door lock. The bathroom took up most of the room and the tv was on a table far to the side of the room and difficult to view from the beds. The shower was sub standard. I gave 2 stars because there were no bed bugs. Other than that, the room was clean but I never trust hotel rugs. The walk in closet was big and dark. It would be helpful if it had a light to see inside. The reading light attached to the bed was broken at the base with exposed wires. The light worked but I was afraid my kid was going to get electrocuted. The couches in the lobby were worn out and dirty. This is not a high quality hotel. They need to replace that furniture. Would I stay again? Maybe, but not in that room.
