Very clean and spacious for a hotel in this category. Served its purpose for our weekend kids sports event.

Well this was a 3 night stay for us, so the review is reflected of this whole stay. A Friday to Monday stay which was also Memorial Day weekend. First the check in: I requested a 2:00 pm check in which is a hour earlier than the 3:00 pm posted time. I showed up at 2 and our room was ready. Check in was smooth and quick. The desk clerks were very nice. Our room: Seemed very clean. No problems at all. Didn't even find a stray hair. Bed was firm but not too hard. We didn't use housekeeping during our stay. So can't say anything here. The location did seem to attract some traveling school kids. I assume with sports teams. Of course you have kids you can have hallway talking and running. Of course this is not the fault of the property. Luckily this wasn't too bad. They found their rooms at a decent hour. Let's talk breakfast: Not bad at all. Each of the three days was a little different. Eggs, potatoes, French toast, waffles, bagels, pork sausages were all offered at one time or the other. All were hot. Let's talk about breakfast clean up. I witnessed the front desk folks cleaning up tables at the eating area. They did a great job with this, which allowed a lot of folks to roll through. The area: seemed safe and free of homeless or riff raff. Numerous places to eat, get gas or even shop at Walmart. So I do recommend this hotel and if back in the area would stay at again. read more

We had a great stay this weekend at the Hyatt Place! This hotel is in a nice location which is about 15 min away from everything in the area. They were finishing renovations and the hotel itself was very clean and well taken care off. The lobby was clean and the breakfast was nice and fresh. They have a small bar you can visit in the evening as well. Front desk staff was always so friendly and accommodating! They were always smiling and welcoming, they always greeted you as you walked in! The room was very nice and spacious. Everything was clean, I honestly didn't even see 1 housekeeping issue. That's why I love Hyatt, I know the rooms are always kept to a high standard. Great stay!! read more

I have to give two stars because a charging brick was left in the hotel room. We were charging it and it was plugged in a certain outlet under the tv. We called an hour after we left, we told them exactly where it was plugged in, and they conveniently could not find it. It's a bummer that hotel staff choose this route instead of prioritizing return customers. read more

Scanning the other Yelp reviews for Hyatt Place Mt. Laurel here, it appears there was a dip in customer service around the time of the pandemic and into 2021. I can only speak to my recent stay a few weeks ago. And overall I had a pleasant experience at Hyatt Place. Check-in was easy and the woman at the desk was friendly and welcoming. My room on the fourth floor was spacious and clean (I saw some scary looking pictures from other Yelpers and was happy that I didn't encounter that). The breakfast set up/spread in the morning was pretty good, too; I was able to grab coffee to-go before checking out. TIP/CAUTION: It's located in an area where there are a number of other hotel and extended stay places, and off of a major throughway. You WILL need a car if you are staying here. Sure, you could do Uber/Lyft to get here, but there are no sidewalks in this area so you are stuck. read more

Got a free night with my points at hotels.com for this hotel. I choose this location because it was a short drive to Diggerland, had an outdoor pool and provided a free breakfast. I was traveling with my adult daughter and her three kids, one of which is still a baby. I requested a crib on my reservation, never expecting to actually get it due to booking thru a 3rd party but was pleasantly surprised it was there. The hotel was located off a highway in an area close to shopping and restaurants. We were greeted warmly at the front desk. First impressions were very good, it was clean, modern, and well decorated. One elevator was out but we squeezed all of us and our stuff in one. Our room on the third floor was massive. It consisted of two open rooms really. A large sleeper sofa an ottoman, a full kitchenette with sink, microwave, and mini fridge, desk, centrally located TV, two queen beds, open vanity area and sink, and a separate wet room with toilet and tub. It was modern and well laid out, especially with the vanity and sink located outside of the bathroom. The beds were comfortable but short on pillows overall, especially given we had five people. The pack and play was clean and newer and included a top sheet. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and had lots of hot/cold choices. The misses for me was the wet room. While everything else was new and remodeled this room was outdated and dark. The door latch was broken and the floor grout stained. The trash cans were undersized and unlined. They looked more like ice buckets than trash cans. The couch also had some rips on the cushions. At breakfast the coffee was located at the front desk, while the milk and mugs in the breakfast room. Having them together would have made more sense. Also the pool was oddly located in the parking lot away from the building. I stayed here a few times for 5 days at a time and it's an ok hotel. Nothing spectacular and very small fitness center- 2 treadmills, an elliptical and a bike- that's it. They do give you a day pass for the giant Fitness across the street, but who wants to go when it's cold, rainy or snowing outside. Not me! Both times I stayed they put a sign under my door about someone complaining of smoke in the 3rd floor. The first time I didn't say anything and I was charged a $200 smoking fee. I had to call to have it removed since I don't smoke. The second time I went downtown to the front desk and told them I better not get charged as I'm not a smoker. They said I wasn't the only one to come down and complain. How could they not check the rooms to verify instead of blaming the whole 3rd floor and charging them? Every day there was either a light left on, something was not cleaned, the coffee cups were dirty, just something that was never 100% wow. Just not the tidiest of housekeepers I guess. Some other observations: Didn't clean the best Bathroom Countertop Left wet washcloth on couch Left bathroom light on a few times Breakfast is average. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, dry waffles, sticky oatmeal but all the good fixins, Greek yogurt and fruit, cereal, granola, bananas and apples, juices, bread, bagels, toaster If I didn't have to stay there because of my company- I definitely would not go back. Great rates on cash or points (Hyatt category 1) and easy to reach just off the turnpike. It's not the most convenient for venturing out into Philadelphia, but it's a fraction of the cost of staying in the city proper. Staff was friendly and fast on check in, and explained all the amenities. I was shocked at the size of my room. King bed, large couch and ottoman, work desk, vanity, bathroom, and a second sink with a microwave and a mini fridge. Plenty of room to relax and could easily host a family of four without suffocating each other. Vanity was separate from the toilet/shower which makes getting ready a little bit easier. I've never stayed at a Hyatt Place before so I was wary of the lure of free breakfast (besides there's a Wawa close by and they are my bae for life). When I came down hungry the next morning, it exceeded every possible expectation. Yeah, the eggs are still powdered but the bacon and mini-quiches were delicious and there was fresh fruit. Usually "fresh fruit" gets you some bananas and maybe an apple, but they had strawberries and other non-cheapo fruit available. Only negatives were the sloooooow wifi, the "fitness center" with 3 very sad cardio machines, and limited seating in the breakfast area. There were some business/convention travelers down at breakfast at the same time, and if I had been traveling with family it would have been nearly full. read more

I stayed here over a weekend for a wedding. It's easy to get in and out of the parking lot but there's not anything within walking distance. Across the street is a Whole Foods, Chic-Fil-A, and a locally owned Italian restaurant. The front desk staff also watch the bar in the evenings so if there's a rush you may need to wait before you get your drink order. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and varied each day. So if you want something light like fruit or something heavy (pancakes, french toast, etc.) there should be food to fit your mood. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant. read more

I have stayed this hotel multiple times because it's tied to my school. I got here and spent over an hour checking in - front desk having my dad emails and re-submit his card authorization over and over and OVER again. First it was wrong state then my name didn't exactly match, etc.. telling me @you could be anyone- having the exact same last name on the card and hearing my dad struggle to fill out the form. Absolutely no compassion... the desk demeanor just like "oh well" When I obviously am overtired from driving hours and hours, the people at the desk gave me an attitude- despite informing Hyatt WAY IN ADVANCE I was using my parents card to hold as well as keep -the room. Having done this MULTIPLE TIMES before. Having stayed at this exact hotel with the exact card on file several times. Having a literal member # - Hyatt was Suppsed to have sent the form in advance if it needed to be filled out. But they had told me that was only if I was using a different card than the one I used to hold the room when I booked it. To try to avoid it more delay, We said just use the one on file. And NOPE. " you could be anyone" despite my ID and the credit card having the same last name and hearing my parents on speakerphone for an hour... clocked in at in over an hour still waiting here to be able to go to my room! positive* they gave me a king instead of a double bed * thanks. Easy to find. Great prices, very affordable for good quality hotel and services. Includes a HOT breakfast. I would say centrally located, not a bad drive from Atlantic city or Phillidelphia. Restaurants & shopping centers located near hotel. Easy parking. Walked in & recieved a genuine welcome from the front desk. Very easy to check-in. Using thier online check-In, we were able to request a early check-in, request any items we may need or have forgot to bring, they had our room keys ready, & we knew our exact room number. Classy and simple decorations. Wonderful lounge and seating areas. Clean & tidy hotel room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast lounge was neat and fully stocked. Food was decent. Overall not a terrible hotel but not the best I've stayed in. A decent amount of restaurants in the area and close to the New Jersey turnpike. Includes a hot breakfast every morning with different options each day. Has an outdoor pool in season. The WiFi was pretty slow and the tv was very fuzzy. Beds were decently comfortable. The price was great when we booked this hotel, for 3 nights and 4 days it was a little under $400. I got the king bed suite - with sofa bed. I stayed with my husband and 3 kids, one of them needing to sleep in a pack and play, this is just to paint the picture that the room was sized decent and can accomodate my family. The room was very clean, no mold or stains in the bathroom so you can see it was thoroughly cleaned. Loved the fact that couch was a sectional couch, it made sitting and watching tv with the kids very pleasant. They readily had extra blankets for the sofa bed that is a plus. Hotel is a little bit on the older side - so older elevator, and there are things here and there that need a touch of repaint but not a big deal when your room is clean. Breakfast is decent... has some good selections. Now we have talked about the good things, now here are some things to nitpick that maybe the hotel can use to improve on some things. While the room is cleaned and very happy with it, the mugs and glass in the room has stains and seemed to never been cleaned nor checked routinely. Now I travel with a baby so I brought dish soap and sponge/bottle brush myself so it was no big deal for me. Another things is that I do wish that there are more plugs in the room..the "living room" where the sofa bed/sectional couch is the electric socket is not easily accesible and the ones that I can reach with difficulty have the lights plugged into. A lot of hotels nowadays have night lamps everywhere that have a plug on it, nothing around the couch area. Now it's a sofa bed so assuming that ppl sleep on it, should have more plugs around that area for phones. Again not a huge deal, but something to consider. I would definitely come back to this hotel. Everyone had been so nice and polite. They greet you when you come back to the hotel, they greet you in the morning. They said hi and smile to all my kids, which is the easiest thing to make us parents happy which is when ppl are kind to your kids. read more

I came here over the weekend for a quick getaway from DC, and loved my experience. Although not very close to the reason why I came to New Jersey, Atlantic City, the drive and stay here were well worth it. I had a very easy check in - the staff were extremely friendly and the room was great. I've stayed at Hyatt Places' in the past, and this by far was my favorite. The room was clean and had a great set up for me to relax and for my boyfriend to watch tv and work on his computer. Also, although I've said it already - I would love to reiterate that the staff was great. For me, that's something that could either make or break the experience. read more

The Hotel was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. I had no problem with my room. My family stayed three nights. A month before I visited the hotel, I requested a microwave and added a fifth person to my room. We were going to Diggerland, so we left our luggage inside the hotel and left. When we returned to our hotel, the microwave and additional sheets were in the room. My only complaint was on my way to the hotel; I received an email to check in early. It was a great feature, but I didn't know until I got there that it was an additional $20 when you check in, and they will also add $200 for accidental damage but will give your money back after checking out. read more

We started out a 10 day funeral trip at Sonesta Simply Suites. (the place was a dump). We move to Hyatt Place just down the road for the same price .What a wonderful hotel. Manager Donna del Mauro took great care of us. Dorothy, Abby, Amy and Tim staff members were courtious, respectful and kind. They all went out of there way to make sure we were taken care of. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It is dilapidated and not becoming of the HYATT BRAND. The first room they gave me and my family the carpet stuck so bad we had to be moved, the shower was dirty and the bed was hard as rock. My fiancé and I travelled two days to reunite with our family. My mom and dad drove 3 hours, so that we could all meet at this hotel. The staff was folding towels and curtains in the reception area. What a welcoming! I swear it was the ghetto. I got sick and threw up after I drank coffee and the coffee maker toppled over and I discovered the atrocity of the coffee maker rusting. To be honest if I was sick one more day from that sight I would have sued. I would not have my worst enemy stay here. I was so uncomfortable I left to shower and my mother in laws house. I was so disappointed because my parents travelled all that way to meet us and this is what we were given. The manager changed our room and it was the same tragedy. I was really disappointed. Also I didn't know they allowed people to throw parties here either. I've stayed at other Hyatt's before and it was always a luxurious experience. This was a TRAP HOUSE. read more

They couldn't find my reservation for about 15mins when I came to check in for whatever reason. Then found it and handed me room key. At 2am someone keyed into my room twice. Lucky for me I sleep with the door latched. At the time no idea what was going on. It takes me awhile to fall asleep so that's annoying. Turns out it wasn't a killer coming to murder me and they never actually checked me in and just gave me a room key so when someone checked in at 2am they gave them same room. Frustrating to both parties. When I complained to front desk they did apologize and reissued my key and properly checked me in. Gave me $50 voucher. The bathrooms are very dirty, the service sucks, the bathroom is disjointed, and the overall experience is terrible. The phone in the room has no button for the front desk nor a button for housekeeping nor a button for customer service. The service is very poor; the ladies at the front desk never tell you when the tea is free nor do they inform you of anything. We asked for towels four times and they refused to bring us towels. This is the second time we have been in a Hyatt and this experience was more terrible than the last. Way too overpriced for the low quality of the rooms. read more

This hotel room had plenty of space. The bathroom sink is outside of the actual shower and toilet portion, so two people can comfortably get ready at once. The room, hall, and lobby are all clean. The bar is somewhat small, but does have food to order. The gym in the hotel is small but they do offer a free pass to the gym across the street which is quite nice. The one bad thing is they do not have much around for food. Cracker Barrel is your best bet if you are walking. Your only other easy options are take out menus which the front desk does have. read more

I have stayed at the Hyatt House across the street and have always been pleased. This time I needed just a one-night stay, and didn't need the large full kitchen that HH has, I decided to book Hyatt Place instead. Unless I need a kitchen, this is where I will stay when I visit Mt. Laurel. + The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful + There's a small bar by the front desk if you want an evening cocktail, no beers on draft though + Rooms are nice and large, we had a king bed and a full sofa (with a sleeper if you need an extra bed) + The king bed was very comfortable, there was a privacy screen between the living room and the bedroom + Room was clean, quiet and nicely decorated + No problem parking, right near the front door + Nice FREE breakfast, decent coffee + Free Wifi - The closet was very small, We had a large suitcase and it took up the entire space. It wasn't a walk-in, so I had trouble reaching stuff in the suitcase - The Chili's moved down the street - but, if you take the 'back way' (left on Crawford, right on Atrium, left on Arbor) the 'new' Chili's is less than a mile, you can walk there in 15 minutes. This is a good way to avoid traffic on Rt. 73 as well I will definitely be back! read more

Before I go any further, let me elaborate on my grading system ... this is, at its finest, a three star hotel so that is my starting place ... I must deduct a star for service. While the staff is friendly, it is not thoughtful ... we are diamond members and I expect to be welcomed as such. There was no acknowledgement at all that we have stayed in 27 hyatts so far this year with plans for five more (yes I am counting) and I have no idea how many nights. After we checked in, no one directed us to our room and we wandered around between buildings with our luggage until we found our room. The amenities were fine with only a few minor flaws ... there is no lotion provided in the room. I bring my own so this is not a big deal. The bigger deal is there is NO HOT WATER. This affected our stay as I maintained a slight chill for our entire visit ... horrible enough for me to take away the "amenity/facility star" but that would leave just one left and honestly, the place was better than that. The water in our room, #1213, was warm but not hot which I realize is a savings for the hotel but is jut acceptable to this guest. We were pleased with the breakfast and there is a rather nice outdoor pool that would be lovely during appropriate times if the year. Come here every year for anytime we have a family function. Spacious rooms at the right price. However this trip they didn't put my request in for adorning rooms. So they adjusted for me when I got here which is great. They put me in the middle of a high school travel hockey team as I traveled with a tired infant. The banging & screaming of these kids was nothing short of expected as kids are kids. But the fact I requested it 3 months ago and I had to be changed led to this night from hell as every time they slammed the door ours raddled. Every time they screamed our infant woke up. Poor planing on hyatts part. I'm saddened by their decision and angry about having a tired infant. What did we pay for? read more

Great business hotel close to Philadelphia and much more inexpensive than a hotel in City center. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Since my work was day to day I had to continue to extend my stay and staff were great. The room was spacious with a separate living room and large closet and bathroom. Housekeeping did a very good job and kept room clean. They had free breakfast in the morning with lots of options and had coffee makers and a fridge in the room. The pool was not in use at the time but I think it was seasonal. Free parking and close to lots of shops and restaurants on the main drag. Not walkable but certainly drivable. This is my favorite hotel in all my travels. No it is not a 5 star hotel but the staff sure makes you feel like it is. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The lobby has assorted food in a cold case for on the go or a menu of items you can order 24 hours a day. In addition there is a full bar. This is most helpful when you want a drink but do not want to drive. The staff is outstanding! Always remember my name, where I work, my favorite wine....they are the best. The manager Glenn is always out mingling with the customers and he really makes you feel like you are home. When in the area, this is the place to stay. read more

Put up here for the night by work. Great friendly staff from the moment we walked in. Very helpful all night, including providing dinner recommendations. (We actually didn't take their recommendation and went to a restaurant based on yelp reviews. We lived our dinner so reported back to the front desk. They were impressed and open to recommending it to others.) Hotel is being remodeled, and the work didn't interfere or affect our stay at all. this is our 2nd year in a row spent at hyatt place mt laurel and will say it was just as amazing as the last yr hence why we returned. this time we brought our new addition to the fam, buster our maltipoo. continental breakfast is always amazing not cheap, or dull. sean is always a pleasure and completely obliging, he is a major reason why we returned this year! he not only remembered us since we came with 2 other families, but made us feel right at home!!! rooms are great, wish we had 2 queens vs. 2 fulls, clean, large, love that they come with fridges and since we went out to eat we heated up our food downstairs in the micro. free wifi and no issue giving us extra towels! nice outdoor clean pool, near philly, down the road from coco keys & sahara sams & near the best aquarium ive ever been to. great place for family trips! will be back! read more

The rooms could use a remodeling, things in the room are just placed in the wrong spots plus there was no microwave in the room which was a huge disappointment. The hallways smelled like a generic motel, the room door looks like it was built 1900s. The sink wasn't in the bathroom, it was strategically places outside of the bathroom like what genius thought of that. The hotel elevators were broken when I checked in. I had to lug heavy suitcase up five floors, i was so tired when I reached the third floor I had to bring out my inhaler because my asthma flared up. By time I reached the the fifth floor, i was crawling to my room barley dragging my luggage along with me. At the end of my stay I had to check into the hospital due to the elevators being broken and me climbing the stairs. Hyatt Place will be receiving my hospital bills!! read more

I spent three weeks in this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. I found that the convenience of the food downstairs was amazing on days that I just did not want to leave the hotel. The large room with a separated living space was convenient for guests to come share the television (loved the easy access connections on the TV) or phone in both work and personal contexts. read more

Booked this hotel as a mystery hotel on hotwire.com I was very pleased with it. The room was large and for the most part.. very clean. The only thing that could have been cleaned better was the bathtub. The beds were comfy and they give you tons of pillows. My daughter forgot to pack her tooth brush so I called the front desk to see if they might sell them and they told me to just come down to the desk. I went down and they had a whole bunch of things in a tub that you could pick from if you forgot yours at home. The breakfast was nice. They had 3 different hot sandwiches and the oatmeal. Also, a nice selection of fruits, cereals, breads, bagels, and muffins. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely be going back to this hotel. read more

Enjoyed our stay very much although the beds were harder than my husband and I prefer. As I am allergic to feathers, I asked if the pillows were made with feathers or foam upon checking in and was told that the one pillow in the closet was a foam pillow. So I used that but had an allergic reaction anyway after spending the night in our room. The next morning, I mentioned this to the kind staff at the front desk (different staff from than the night before) and was told that the comforter on the bed was filled with down feathers as well. The offer was made to immediately remove all down items from our room, replacing them with non-down items, something I really appreciated. However, I feel that the hotel should inform visitors that down products are in the room- this could be easily done by a posted flyer that notes that visitors with a feather allergy should call the front desk so that down items can be replaced with non-down items. read more

First and foremost, we love Hyatt Places. It is our favorite chain by far. Here's what you should know about all Hyatt places... Very large rooms, with a huge couch they call the comfy corner. 24/7 food and drinks that the front desk staff is trained to make whenever you get hungry. They all also serve alcohol and Starbucks coffee. They feature what they call a skillet breakfast. All the normal stuff like oatmeal, fruit and pastries. But during the week they have really creative breakfast sandwiches as well. Usually also either pancakes or French toast. What should you know about this location? It's quiet inside and out. It's not the Hyatt house. That's across the street and not as nice in my opinion. Centrally located to the cherry hill / mt Laurel area and less than 30 minutes to the airport or center city Philadelphia. The staff here is well trained, super friendly, and go beyond the call of duty to make you happy. Great front desk folks, management, housekeeping, and other support staff. They have an outdoor pool in season. If you are in this area - don't hesitate and stay here! read more

We usually stay at hotels in the Hilton family. We decided to give Hyatt Place a try. Never again. The bathroom was filthy! (I included pictures if you can stomach it) We only stayed one night so upon check out we showed the pictures to the front desk. The lady said she would send someone right up to clean it which is great but doesn't do me any good. Then she asked if I was "looking for something in return?" Awkward! I just told her I would stay at a Hilton from now on instead. I know Hiltons policy is if you find anything wrong with your room it is free! I wasn't trying to get a free room but a less awkward apology would've helped! And to top everything off they close the included breakfast at 10am... On a SUNDAY!!!
