ok, some things are out of a hotel's control and because it's the weekend, people want to have fun, and i don't want to be a party pooper, i ignored some things. There were several guest in and out of the hotel side door, located right across from out room, all night. They were in and out so they could have their cigarettes without setting off the alarm in the room. The guest themselves were nice and meant no harm but they were loud at times and that set our dogs off a few times. Anyway, this hotel was really nice and served its purpose well. We needed a hotel that accommodated pets because we have 2 small pugs. All the hotel needed was their names and asked that we used the side door to walk the pets. There is a couple of designated areas to walk the dogs, the hotel provides free doggy poop bags, and they ask that you never leave the dogs alone in the room. All reasonable things. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is located a few minutes from pretty much all of the other resorts and attractions at Wisconsin Dells. I would stay here again. The price was great, and the room was ok. Could be cleaner in the room(the floors) but listen... this place IS dog friendly and the rooms were already clean when we got there so we actually checked in a little early. Good service. Dirty rooms. When we arrived we noticed there was hair on the pillow cases and in the sheets. Woke up to a bug on my arm the second morning. And came home and had nice bites all over my body and my boyfriends. We checked for bed bugs when we got there but just noticed that it was dirty. They were definitely in there though. read more

We loved the idea of coming for a weekend getaway in the Dells, WITHOUT the hassle and craziness of a million people around you. It is off the highway, but only a short drive to the Dells strip, the casino, or even Baraboo! They actually have their pool area open, but it was always busy when we tried to go in, and since it's a smaller area, easy to fill up. They do also have an outdoor option, but it wasn't open yet when we went. They also don't have pool towels anywhere but at the front desk, so make sure to ask for those before heading to the pool. We stayed for two nights, and the first night, I got ZERO sleep. The walls are THIN, and they allow dogs. I'm totally fine with that, but it'd be better if they put all the dogs on one side of the motel. The basic room price only includes THE BASICS. No kleenexes, no coffee pot, cups, clock... nothing. I knew it didn't come with a fridge or microwave and was okay with that, but had no clue I was agreeing to cut out everything else. They also didn't have breakfast at all due to covid, just coffee available downstairs. The second night, I invested in ear plugs to get SOME sleep, and it was a little better, but I still woke up to everyone coming back from the casino/bars. read more

I would place it between average and very good, friendly staff, clean rooms.. This is a good hotel to stay in Baraboo. We stayed on our skiing weekend in Devil`s Head. It is about 25 minutes drive from the resort and about 15 minutes from Driftles Glen destillery which is a great spot to eat and have a drink. I agree the room is very basic, good for 1-2 night stay so if you need more amenities this would not be the best choice. Ok, this is not a 5 star hotel, but it is by far the nicest Motel 6 I have ever stayed at or heard of. They beat the others by a mile. I echo the positive comments of the others. Staff was friendly too. They even have plaqards if you forgot personal items to let them know. WHAT? Were those signs left up from a previous hotel chain? LOL. Seriously, this hotel appears to be rather new and built for a more upscale chain. The floors are rock solid (don't hear people walking in hallway), walls seem to have sound proofing. I disagree with the bedspread comment. It is very kidsy and brightens up the room. The bed was on the firmer side, but I liked that. I actually overslept and may need to request a late checkout. Finally, check out the bonus bathtub with triangular wine / drink station. I will try to post picture. Sure beats the corporate standard half-shower. The sweethearts are really going to love that. Just blindfold them coming on and into the hotel property and thry will never know they are in a Motel 6, LOL. read more

I hope you do not need or want coffee or hot water after 6p.m. They literally lock the dispenser. Bringing a dog? Well everyone should pick up after there own animals bags are provided. It was clear not many picked up there own dog debris. We chose the place in hopes at the very least be Clean. It was not . In the room the floor was filthy, the wifi/cell service was awful, the beds were hard as rocks, hairs found on sheets , (not my own ) the aroma of the place was awful and, it was way to expensive for the quality of the room and amenities.7 Will never stay there ever again . read more

If there were a contest out there somewhere for the ugliest bedspread in the world, by far, the ones in this motel would win. It was garishly decorated with pictures of bears, Motel 6 signs, badly drawn mountains, in bright colors on an electric blue backdrop. It matched perfectly with the industrial strength blue carpeting in the room. The mattress itself was, by far, the most uncomfortable thing on the planet. I would have been much better off attempting to sleep on a bed of nails. I suppose I can't complain all that much, because the rates for one night were rather reasonable, and they allow pets. Nothing very fancy, free coffee in the lobby, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, 24 hour shuttle service to the Ho-Chunk casino, and the rooms were clean, and the place was rather new. It is a bit tricky to get here though, and I highly suggest paying very close attention to the road signs. It is only a short distance away from all the Dells and Baraboo attractions. read more

If you are going to go here and expecting a five-star experience then you will be very disappointed. Take it for what it is worth. You are going to get what you paid for! This place is probably one of if not the cheapest place in the Dells/Lake Delton vicinity. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the condition of the place. I was not expecting much and I was pleasantly surprised. Major kudos go out to the staff here. They really wowed me with their friendliness. There was only one negative, but it was a HUGE, MASSIVE negative! The mattress was HORRIBLE! Neither my wife nor I slept well at all because this was probably the most uncomfortable mattress that I have ever slept on. This is a no frills place to stay- (you have to ask for shampoo) There is coffee, but no morning breakfast items. But, it was clean and quiet and one of the nicer $60 rooms I've seen. read more

Great value for being so affordable! A bit off of the beaten path, which is nice during tourist season so that you can "get away" a bit. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean and well maintained. However, the pool water was dingy and salty. I'd come back for sure though! read more

Spotlessly clean, outdoor wading pool, indoor heated pool with jacuzzi, free wifi and more than reasonable prices. This is probably one of the nicest Motel6 ever. Typical Motel 6. Clean no frills room. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner they don't supply it. The only thing you get is soap. Shower was worthless, absolutely no water pressure. Walls are paper thin, do bring earplugs if you plan on sleeping. Definitely worth the price, but not much more. read more

Bad experience. Dogs barking in the hall throughout the night, dirty bathroom, phone didn't work and we found a used syringe. Night staff didn't seem too concerned. We won't be back. I recommend the Clarion in Baraboo. read more

A couple years ago, we stayed here, right after it was remodeled. $50 a night was a great deal for a clean place to sleep. We stayed last night, $100, for a room that wasn't worth any more than the $50 we paid last time. The indoor pool was not really a pool. The area wasn't very clean. As far as our room goes, every time we sat on the toilet, we thought it was going to fall over. The light next to the bed did this annoying flickering. The bed didn't have a fitted sheet, so it kept moving all over the place, the pillows were so small and flat that we had to fold and roll them (extremely uncomfortable) and, to top it off, there was no blanket on the bed! We left at 7:15am and the guy at the desk didn't even look up acknowledge us as we were leaving. At this Hotel 6, they don't need to leave the light on for us. read more

We've been going to the dells for mini getaways for many years. We've stayed at all of the big hotels, but I'm not fond of paying the crazy weekend prices. This trip we decided to try the Motel 6 and just pay for day passes. I was pleasantly surprise how clean, and nice everything was at the motel and I loved that their was no carpet in our room. Alot of places use cleaning sprays and having allergies I could tell this place was just Really Clean. I highly recommend this place especially for the great price. We will be back. read more

OK I totally agree with previous writer about it not being a five star hotel however for a motel 6 it definitely deserves five stars. It is by far the nicest motel 6 I have ever stayed in and cheaper than other hotels that are this nice. I never heard a sound from outside our room. Free great working WiFi! We are traveling cross country with four grandchildren so we rented two rooms. I have been letting everyone help me rate places along the way and we all gave this place the five stars. Clean rooms clean smell comfortable beds. A beautiful swimming pool! I wish every motel 6 manager's would stop by here and learn from the standards set by the manager and staff who run this place. We stayed here for 2 nights and I would not recommend. First of all, the beds are really springy and uncomfortable, the worst part was that we found dried blood and dead bugs IN THE SHEETS. Second of all, the cleaning, especially in the bathroom, was really bad. Our feet turned black after taking a shower, the mirror wasn't washed, and a toothbrush was left dry by the sink, but after housekeeping came it was wet...Also I left my spooley out and after housekeeping came I found it in the garbage. Plus, the walls are so thin, I could hear someone snoring rooms down. The indoor pool is dark and had lots of things floating. It burned my eyes and was just not a pleasant experience. There's never anyone at the front desk, you always have to wait a few minutes for someone. Also we asked for towels and a lady handed it to us and said they were fresh out of the dryer but they were still cold and damp. read more

Went there feb 27th for a wedding. Woman at front desk somehow charged us $600 for 1 night instead of $60. After going back and forth with the hotel and bank and corporate, the least they couldve done was comp our room. Instead ive been given the run around and have YET to receive any compensation. This was the first time bringing our dog along to a hotel so I was worried how it would be (smell, clean etc.).... I was over the top pleased and wish every hotel was this great about pets. They have laminate flooring which helps with the pets I am sure and had all of us with pets on 1st floor in the back. It was extremely clean, the staff was super friendly and welcoming and it was really affordable. For those of you traveling with pets I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. read more

My family and I checked in on Friday March 4th, sometime before 5pm. There was no one in the lobby being checked in at this point. I was told very rudely to "give me your drivers license". I didn't have one. After that was done I was told " give me your credit card". As I proceeded to check out two other guests stopped in and were checked in before I finished. The next day we got moving around noon, and again came back in enough time to get in the pool. After I overheard someone getting checked in properly Friday late evening being told he pool hours and where it was. I said hello to the same receptionist several times throughout that morning afternoon and evening with her just staring me in my face and not saying anything in return. My step son said hello to her and she actually spoke to him and he helped her clean up the pool area. Even found another guests house keys. He's a great kid. He was actually quite shocked after what happened because my experiences weren't great with this first receptionist. Just so happens I hear another late checkin and this time I hear about pool hours and location, as well as a wristband for Chula Vista. I later asked the kind woman, different woman, what the deal was with that and she said they should have told me when I checked in about the wristbands as part of your checkin. So we wasted two days at the Motel 6 pool when we should've been able to go to Chula Vista. She told me to come down in the morning and get the wristbands. Unfortunately things went from bad to horribly worse. I asked her if we could get a late checkout and she was so kind to make that happen. My wife and I got to bed late as expected and we were awakened by our two year old daughter screaming bloody murder and crying because of all the loud noises she was hearing. After I heard all the yelling, swearing, furniture being tossed around I went to the front desk to let them know someone right above us were fighting. And my lil girl is very scared. This ordeal lasted from start to finish a good 45 mins most of that time coming after the front desk went upstairs and he was thrown out by the guests and I could hear the guy tell him to "get the f out or else". 2 of 7 staff that I encountered gave great guest service. I was told by the Hena front desk supervisor that it was my fault I didn't notice that the wristbands were included on expedias website. And I should have read all of the signage when I came in to know about the wristbands. Never once did she sincerely apologize and try to correct the issue at hand of not being told about the wristbands or my family being woken up to fighting. And it continues a while after I went to the front desk. I also explained that I think the first receptionist has an issue with black people because she never said anything to me on several occasions, my wife being with me on two occasions, but she did my step son and he happens to be white. After nearly 45 mins of talking and even talking to Bob Patel the General Manager, I was not compensated the least bit. I was told that I was"not a motel 6 customer, I was an Expedia customer". It took another try before leaving to get the wristbands for Sunday, after the long not listening and being lied to session. And Hena was very rude, disrespectful, and tasteless by saying she was a black woman. Yet clearly was Indian and spoke Hindi I believe, may have been Punjabi.... while I was standing there as she's on the phone with the manager. I've been around the world several times over, and this was by far the worst experience ever. I still have yet to hear anything from anyone about the experience. read more
