In the spirit of a motel 6...they'll never be classy!
    Ruann L.

First of all...its Motel 6. It will never get 5 stars because they chintz out on so many things. This motel is brand spankin' new. Just built. It looks it, which is the only reason we are staying here. The lobby is simple and clean. The grounds are well attended. The carpets are clean. We stayed in room 106. A non-smoking room. BEWARE of the CASH ($50) deposit they want if you request a non-smoking room. Entering the room it was CLEARLY a room that animals have been in. LOTS of animals. They could use a deodorizer that works for animal scent. On the upside, the floors are laminate, which means we are not walking on pet hair from everyone else's animals. They also appear clean. The beds are doubles. No box springs. Two pillows per bed. I always bring a blanket. There are no extra blankets in the room. Bathroom includes two bars of soap. No shampoo. Towels for three. In Motel 6 class...there is a bottle opener on the back of the door. The two seat booth and table with an extra chair is nice. Not having to eat on the bed is wonderful. All lighting is fluorescent. The closet sits behind the flat screen TV. 6 hangers available. WiFi is free with code. Look for code on key card envelope. No free breakfast. Ice machine out front. Vending machine in lobby. Update: the dog party got active in the middle of the night. That's what happens when all the dogs stay next to each other. The interstate is literally right behind this hotel. Fair amount of white noise. The tree barrier helps keep the loudness to a minimum. They have coffee out front in the morning.

A small room but hey it's cheap.

OK, First you need to set your expectations. This is not the Ritz, it's not even a Holiday Inn or Ramada. The rooms are small. The amenities lacking. But the price is great: $55 on 1/30/16 for one for one night. If I'm ever here again (doubtful) I would come back. No carpet. No real place to hang anything and no dresser; none of which I need. The lighting is good. The TV works. The wifi works and the shower has hot water. The bed has seen lots of wear and tear but I can sleep in it! I'll take it. It's a bit of a drive from the interstate exit but worth the price and the fabulous Italian restaurant, Paese Mio, down the street. Spend your money on dinner and stay here for a cheap night. Check out my review of Paese Mio.

Newer clean rooms. Quite comfortable. Stayed here for a brief business trip. Staff was attentive and nice. Will certainly stay again.

Given the poor experience, we will not be staying at this property again and will be sharing our feedback with our sister schools that conduct similar college tours. Despite calling at 7:00 PM to provide an ETA, no one was at the front desk when our group arrived. After a long bus ride, my students and staff waited 25 minutes for assistance, only receiving help after I called your sister property at 4325 Hamilton Blvd to intervene. Furthermore, several of our rooms lacked hot water and the televisions were non-functional. During the night, our head chaperone received calls at 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM regarding noise complaints that did not originate from our students, suggesting your staff failed to investigate properly. Additionally, access to the breakfast area was restricted by a closed door without any explanation. We chose the Holiday Inn expecting a safe and comfortable environment, but the quality of service and facilities was unacceptable.

Planning an event while grieving is not easy. There are emotions you cannot prepare for, moments when you are simply trying to hold it together. From the very beginning, Anne approached everything with such empathy and grace. She did not just manage logistics. She understood the weight of what we were carrying. Anne made us feel seen. She listened. She adjusted with patience. She reassured us when decisions felt overwhelming. There was never pressure, only understanding. She created an environment where we felt supported, respected, and genuinely cared for. The Americus team mirrored that same compassion. Every interaction felt thoughtful, but more importantly, it was handled with sensitivity. In a time when our hearts were heavy, Anne made us feel like family. Not just guests. Not just clients. Family. In moments of grief, you remember who shows up with kindness. The Americus Hotel and Anne did exactly that, and I am deeply grateful.

This hotel is one of the cleanest Ive stayed in. One thing I noticed, and it might sound strange, is the smell. There was none. No odd smell. No strong smell of cleaners or chemicals. Just fresh and neutral. The bed and dressings were very comfortable. There is very little noise from inside the hotel such as the hallway or adjoining rooms. I assume its due to solid walls and the way it was built back in the day. There is noticable street noise such as loud stereos and exhausts but its not a hotel issue and wasn't horrible. Weekends might be a bit louder. But, again, not the hotels fault Self parking was easy at the city garage a short walk down the street. Perfect location downtown. When In doing business here, this will be my go-to hotel.

This isn't a luxury hotel by any means, but it's comfortable and perfectly adequate for a weary traveler and a pet. This is an older hotel. The lamps have outlets in the bases, but no USB and certainly not USB-C ports. Good thing I brought charger thingies that plug into outlets, or I would be without a charged laptop, phone, and watch! Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. So is customer service, when you call. There's a pool, a 24/7 business center, and other amenities, but no restaurant on site. There's a diner nearby, and a Taco Bell. I don't eat Taco Bell, but the diner was a very short walk. Even if you are just staying one night, sign up for the free membership. You get free WiFi and can ask for early check-in/ late check-out. And you constantly get thanked for being a member, lol. I was delighted to see a bathtub! One advantage of an older hotel. Renovations always seem to involve replacing the tub with a giant shower. Bleah. The kitchenette is stocked with plates, cups, and wine glasses. Woohoo! But the TV is oddly located facing a wall, not the bed or sofa, although I suppose it could be turned. There's no table next to the chaise longue, so I put my wineglass on an ottoman. Not ideal, since I had to stretch, but it worked. The bed was comfortable, but I woke up itchy. This may be because it's a pet-friendly room, and I am allergic to MANY breeds of dogs, and all cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. Sadly, I forgot to pack my allergy meds. Anyway, I would stay in one of these hotels again. Perfectly adequate, and much more space than just a room.

Luckily, I was able to nab one of the closest parking spots to the front entrance after looping around the building. My initial thought was that it was very quiet. Perhaps I was on a floor by myself, but I didn't hear or see anyone else on my floor during my one-night stay. I really loved my room. It was contemporary-styled and comfortable with plenty of light fixtures and a floor to ceiling window. I especially liked the light over the sofa because it automatically turned off, and turned back on after it detected motion. The bed was also comfortable and soft with high quality foam pillows. There was a QR code by the bed, and when directed to the website contained a list of information and hotel policies. One of those policies was in regard to delivery orders. Deliveries cannot be left at the front desk or taken to your room by the driver/carrier. They must be picked up in the lobby, which was fairly simple to follow. After check-out I had left clothes in the closet and didn't realize until hours later. I called the front desk and was able to coordinate picking them up after housekeeping checked the room for my items and collected them. I really appreciate Amanda's promptness and level of customer service whilst assisting me over the phone. My only dissatisfaction was that I didn't receive hand soap in the bathroom, but otherwise it was a much needed and unrealized change from Marriott.
