This business catered my mom's repast August 1, 2025. The meal was delicious and prepared with excellence. The chicken with the sauce was a very nice size portion and tasted really yummy. We were having an event at a winery outside Tehachapi, and finding someone willing to come out that far and do full service catering proved challenging. Amanda the catering manager from Mossman's was fantastic! The menu had great options, she was very accessible, friendly, and explained all of our options clearly. The day of the event, everything was beautiful. We had a lunch reception for about 60 people, with Tuscan chicken, red potatoes, roasted veggies, bread, and pasta salad. I had mossmans carter my wedding October 1st 2022. It was beyond amazing. Amanda was great to work with. I had a large charcuterie board that wasn't just delicious with so many options but was such an amazingly beautiful set up. For our wedding food we had mushroom chicken that i could rave about all day long and well as tri-tip, parmesan bread, green beans with bacon, mediterranean salad with 3 dressings as well as drinks. Beware of parasites in the fish. I knew the quality of the fish was never top tier but man I didn't know how bad until I found a parasite in my fish. I'm still disgusted thinking about it. Someone did contact me about it and stated they will be looking into it and will be contacting the supplier. I think I would have been more bothered if I paid for it. read more

We had a small, intimate backyard wedding without a coordinator or anything like that and Mossman's experience came in handy. Mossman's catered our wedding back in October and I am so happy they did! Every time I see pictures or people talk about the wedding the food is always mentioned. Fabulous food, and the best service I could ask for! Mossman's catered my husband and ,y wedding back in October 2017 and after meeting with 2 other caterers, we were starting to get frustrated with the level of service. It was kind of stressful working with people who, albeit, had good reviews, but didn't want to give us a firm quote, and also didn't have a time or place we could try their food before selecting them. The benefit of working with Mossman's was not only that they have an actual store front cafe so you can at least taste something, even if it's not exactly what you're planning to serve the day of your wedding, but I felt like I could at least trust some kind of taste test. Dorrette and Rick (the catering manager, and owner) met with us directly, bought us dinner, and discussed all options with us in great detail, WITH PRICING. As we were leaving, we had plans afterwards to visit friends in the hospital to celebrate the birth of their baby, so we were taking them food, and out of the kindness of their hearts, they bought our friends food as well! It was truly just a kindness they did not have to show us at all. They had a quote to me within a day or so, and did not deviate from it once. They let me give a head count just a few days before the wedding which saved us money, and they were amazingly prompt in getting back to me ANY time I had a question or concern. We even had a hiccup with the bar we hired for drinks and they were willing to help us (very last minute, but thankfully it all worked out with the original alcohol caterer). They were early to my wedding, and the food was delicious! We had everything we could ever ask for, and more. The catering manager was chasing us down with plates so my husband and I could eat in the midst of the wedding chaos. It was truly an amazing experience and I recommend them to all my family, friends, and anyone needing catering services. I cannot rave about this business enough. I mean, they don't require you to pay for ANYTHING ahead of time, and they've never been stiffed. That says something about the way they run their business! We're now returning customers having them cater our holiday party this year, and they make it SO stress free. HOLY COW! The beautiful setup was expected after seeing so many great photos, BUT.. I was unprepared for the genuine niceness and accommodating personality of this group! The chef came out and helped with the menu and even came over to my event to ensure that everything was set up perfectly. The food was so good that my guests couldn't stop talking about it. The service, the setup, the professionalism and the cost was not only acceptable but over the top. I really wanted the baby shower to be a hit, and it was... and I didn't have to lift a finger or even make the payment until the event was over. Just ate here for lunch and haven't been in a while. I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was undercooked. I sent it back when they brought out the new order which was the old fish put back in the fryer it was like chewing on a boot. Pretty disappointing. read more
